My husband and I had our children in other centers and was not happy until we found Excellence Day Care. Our children are reading above their grade level. It is a multi-cultural environment and all the children are cared for. The center provided healthy meals and the place is super clean. I recommend this Day Care hands down. Thanks Dr. Knight. You and your staff are the best!!

Ali's is definitely the go-to spot for Roti and Doubles. Food is always amazing. The service is always amazing. I really wish they would put more of what you ask inside the roti. If you don't ask for extra, it will be a tiny bit of filling and mostly roti skin. But the taste is still great. Also I really wish they took cards as payment. The ATM does not give singles and usually the sauces cost extra so it winds up being a dollar or two more. If they took cards it wouldn't be an issue, but with cash, if you only took out a certain amount you are searching for that extra dollar or two.
If you want doubles, come early. Everyone loves the doubles so they run out.

Amazing doubles (4.5/5) - best in this area and we went to at least 4 other roti shops. The double was flaky, hot and the chickpeas had an excellent amount of spice and sweetness from the tamarind chutney. The chicken roti (2/5) however was not good - chicken itself was fine but the roti and the filling were grainy.

EXTREMELY Delicious, 2nd ONLY to my Mom's cooking (YES I'm biased 😉)!!!

Rapid service, even though line was @ the door... Busy, even after lunch service, but line moved quickly from order to pick-up.

They've been around a long time, have quite a devoted customer base, QUALITY never compromised over time... CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT Service & Food, w/ Large portions; yep, U WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED 😋💯

Basic but hearty fairly spiced take-away. Non of my food items was spicy. Food is from Tobago, despite the Indian food items. Fair prices, slow service.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here, I Google'd it for you: 😊
----------------------------------------------------------------------
*Doubles*: A popular street food with curried chickpeas between two pieces of fried bara bread, topped with chutneys.

*Conch*: edible meat from a large sea snail

*Aloo Pie & Pholouri*: Spiced potato-filled fried dough or split-pea fritters, great street snacks.

*Roti*: A beloved flatbread wrap filled with curried chicken, goat, shrimp, or vegetables (channa/chickpeas).

*Sorrel*: a cold drink made from hibiscus flowers

*Mauby*: a popular, bittersweet, spiced drink made from the bark of the mauby tree

Authentic, Delicious, and Always Worth the Wait!

Ali’s Roti Shop never disappoints! The food is absolutely amazing; fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. It’s the kind of meal that’s well worth the wait, no matter how long the line gets.

A quick heads up: the establishment is cash only and there’s no indoor or outdoor seating, so it’s best to plan ahead. But honestly, once you try the food, you won’t mind at all. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff always makes you feel taken care of.

If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Caribbean food, Ali’s Roti Shop is a must-try!

Not going to write a novel about my meal. The empty plates showed our appreciation for the food. The personnel were approachable and informed. The meals are excellent. The staff is responsive. The costs are reasonable. Include this restaurant in your plans.

Been going to Ali for years but they falling off… or maybe bad day..: curry is watery… 3 small pieces of potatoes ,2 pieces small pieces of chicken and a leg with no meat… I moved to jersey and always come by to show love but I don’t know… I’ve been getting disappointed lately😩😩😩 Didn’t even start eating… excellent customer service!

I went to the shop on Fulton Street, that was a takeaway. Customer service was good. The process of ordering the food was easy, and the wait time was acceptable for a Saturday. Most importantly, the food was tasty and freshly prepared, like eating, a roti back in 🇹🇹 .

I ordered a double and a curry chicken double. It was so freaking delicious and I ate it at, frankly, an inappropriate speed. Great value, the double alone would’ve made a fine sized lunch.

Great service but one dish was lacking dhal pori too much pure items pumpkin dasheen calallo hardly any chicken time minced pieces no taste very watery needs serious work for any hungry Trini have to keep up appearances no matter how famous you think you are.

Loved the roti here. Usually veggie roti is lame and only has Chickpeas and potatoes in it but this was one of the best I’ve had! I almost forgot to take a photo, but you can see it’s really full with a lot of variety in the vegetables. Next time I’ll order with extra pumpkin because I heard someone do that after me, and hadn’t even realized it was an option. I’ll be back often!

So glad I got to check this spot out! Loved the vibe and as a vegan such a filling (and cheap!) plant based options. The doubles were $2 and a bag of 7 Phoulourie were $4! That’s a light meal for 2 under $10!! Wish they put some kind of tamarind sauce in the doubles but the spice levels were phenomenal 😋

Great food. We ordered the chicken and goat buss ups and omg , we couldn't have enough. The spinach and chick peas side were lightly season and so delicious also that side tortilla like made the food overall just good. Food was just right very filling and not heavy, felt healthy. Our first time trying here and will definitely come back when we visit Brooklyn. They only take cash and only do take out, but overall great customer service. The front lady was very welcoming and friendly to talk to. Love the food. Keep it up y'all ☺️.

Amazing food, definitely one of the best Trinidadian places in the city! It seems like a family runs the place, and they were all so kind. I wish there was seating, but still it’s a great to-go place. I highly recommend the doubles and the roti! The prices were also amazing for the huge amount of food you get.
