I can’t believe in the middle of the town in Manhattan, there is such good authentic Chinese hot pot. Price is very reasonable in midtown, service is excellent. The decoration makes me ind of feeling that I am Chongqing.

Very authentic hotpot! We stopped there for dinner before moving on to evening activities and food was pretty good. We had a variation of veggies, some chicken and beefrolls. They also offered us the option of having only hot water as vegetarian broth. We liked the coconut chicken soup, the pork stock was a little less aromatic. Also our pot was not heating well on one side. What we all agreed was not a good pick was the seaweed salad at the little sauce bar. All four of us tried and it was way to much artificial ginger so that our toungs were ichy. I would also have appreciate a little more attentative device. Yes it was busy but they have seen we had two people around with experiencing hotpot for the first time and also tried to reach out to the personnel. I get that you can call them any time via the tablet but still.
Overall food was nice and I would recommend going there with enough time to especially enjoy the Ambiente and the festiveness of hotpot.

This was a fantastic place to eat! The meat was thinly sliced and fresh, veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauces and broth were full of flavor. The experience is fun and an interesting way to spend an evening exploring different flavors and combinations. The atmosphere is lively and inviting and the staff were on top of refills and clearing empty dishes. I went with a large group and the staff were accomodating and helpful. Overall, this was a great experience and I ate well beyond my fill becasue everything was so delicious!

Came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday. There were 15 of us, and we didn’t have a reservation, but luckily enough we got 2 tables with almost no wait.

We got 2 broths, one of medium spicy and one of the mushroom. We tried different cut of beef, and they were all pretty good. We also got taro, lotus roots and some seasonal vegetables, and they were all pretty fresh and delicious.

The frozen tofu, and fish tofu were quite tasty, too. The crispy tofu skin was so fun to eat, it cooked in just a few seconds, and soaked up the flavors of the broth.

The fish balls and beef tendon ball were nice as well.

Their appetizers were very good. We got the crispy pork belly, crispy pork legs, and the spring rolls.

The service was kind of slow. At a point, there were no dishes for the sauces. Multiple people asked multiple times, and finally they were refilled. The dessert as well, it was empty out and after an hour of waiting, it was still empty. We also had to wave the servers down to add more broths to our hot pots. Otherwise, everything else was nice.

Avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!!!

After eating here, both my friend and I felt sick. My friend, who ate more than I did, ended up with very serious food poisoning. The food did not taste fresh and was extremely overpriced, which matches what many other reviews have said.

We went when the restaurant was almost half-empty, yet no one checked on us at all. The quality and pricing make no sense. I would not recommend this place.

ER Hot Pot is a casual and fun spot where you can choose your own broth. The soup is on the thicker, richer side, which makes everything very flavorful. I liked the shrimp paste a lot — it had a nice, bouncy texture — and the meat was good quality as well. Portions are filling and it’s a great comfort food option.

I’ve been to this hot pot restaurant twice now, and both times I thought the food was really good. The flavors are solid, the ingredients are plentiful, and everything tastes fresh. Overall, it’s definitely a place I’d consider coming back to.

That said, there are a couple of things that really bothered me.

First, the sauce fee. I honestly don’t understand why so many hot pot restaurants charge extra for sauces now. In most Asian countries, sauces are always free, they’re basically the soul of hot pot. Charging for them just doesn’t make sense to me and feels unnecessary.

Another issue is the temperature inside the restaurant. It’s extremely cold. Every time we finish eating, we’re still shivering, and almost everyone around us is wearing jackets. Last time, we even asked the staff about it, and they said the heater was on. But the screen clearly showed the air conditioning on at 60 degrees. I even pointed out that everyone was wearing coats. I’ve never had a hot pot meal where I felt this cold.

Despite these issues, the food itself is good. If they could rethink the sauce policy and adjust the temperature, the overall experience would be much better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ER Hot Pot – 4.5 to 5 Stars

ER Hot Pot absolutely delivered an outstanding hot pot experience. From the moment the food arrived, you could tell the quality was top-tier.

We ordered the yin-yang pot, pairing a rich, spicy mala broth with a comforting clear herbal soup. Both broths were deeply flavoured and well balanced—the mala had a satisfying numbing heat without being overpowering, while the clear soup was light, clean, and perfect for soaking up the natural sweetness of the ingredients.

The meat selection was the highlight. The premium marbled beef slices were beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and melted in your mouth after just a few seconds in the broth. The rolled pork and lamb were tender, juicy, and clearly high quality—exactly what you expect from a top hot pot restaurant.

We also enjoyed a great variety of sides:
• Enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, and greens were crisp and fresh
• Fish balls and tofu were soft, bouncy, and full of flavour
• The raw beef with egg yolk was a standout—rich, silky, and indulgent

Portion sizes were generous, presentation was impressive, and everything tasted clean and premium. The lively atmosphere, fast service, and vibrant setting made it perfect for both family dining and group gatherings.

Why not a full 5? Only minor things—at peak times it can get busy and a little loud—but the food quality more than makes up for it.

👉 Overall: A must-visit for hot pot lovers. Exceptional meat quality, flavourful broths, and great value for the experience. Easily 4.5 stars, and on a good day, it feels like a 5-star hot pot feast.

You have to reserve at least one day beforehand as there are no same day reservations and the wait time can be long. The food came out fast and was very delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She explained all the options and helped us choose.

Pretty good quality of ingredients and soup base. It was very authentic. The bitter melon and vegetables all very sharp and fresh. Meats rolled up nicely. Good honeydew melon. A bit pricier than AYCE but I was very full and they didn’t rush us.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Amazing Hotpot Experience — Fresh Ingredients & Great Setup!

I had an incredible time at this hotpot spot! The food was super fresh, beautifully presented, and there were so many options to choose from — meats, seafood, veggies, handmade balls, tofu, lotus root, corn, and more. The broth was flavorful with just the right balance of spice and richness. Everything cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.

I also loved how organized and clean the setup was. Ordering through the screen was easy, and the portions were generous. It’s definitely a great place to come with friends and enjoy a full, satisfying meal together.

From the quality of the ingredients to the overall experience, this place absolutely delivered. I’d highly recommend it if you’re craving a delicious and fun hotpot night!

The food at this hot pot place was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. My main problem with this place is the absolutely insane pricing. $4 for a small cup of cabbage? The picture below is for $80… I will admit I never have eaten at hot pot a la carte, but paying ~$100 per person to get full seems insane. It seems like the profit margins on the items are criminal. Again, i’ve only had all you can eat hot pot, but after this place I can guarantee it’ll stay that way.

NYC is the best for a night out with friends, for sure! We recently went there and had dinner at this awesome spot. The food was seriously delicious, and the portions were so generous; I was stuffed! It was such a fun atmosphere, perfect for catching up and laughing. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a good time!
Never regret!
