Great Atmosphere, staff was happy and attentive. Manager was very involved. I had Tomas C he was a very good waiter. I had the Birria tacos. I was a bit disappointed that they weren’t crisped up. Typically they are. But the flavors made up for it.
Great little place. I recommend.

I think when a hispanic restaurant heats up and makes their own tortillas it’s a really good sign. This place does that and more LOL, my friend and I came here for the bottomless brunch. I walked in and they’re playing club remixes at noon like HUH? The place had good energy but it was a funny time of day to be hearing it. The reviews were very confusing on what the pricing was but to clear that up. You have to order an entree and then pay $30 for 90mins worth of drinking. The servers make sure you get your money’s worth by walking around with carafes of the 3 main cocktails. They water them down with a bunch of ice but if you’re nice they try to hold the ice back when they pour so that it’s a little stronger.

This place also encourages you to mix the drinks together so for example to blend together a mimosa and the sangria into one drink. I personally don’t care and drink to get drunk but if you care about flavors then you might be happy to know that all the cocktails kind of taste very sugary. Once you get to drink 2, you realize they all kind of taste similar which is why you can blend them so easily.

As for the food—very tasty tacos, my favorite were the lamb. I don’t usually care for french toast but I got it because the reviews raved about it. The bread is light and airy and it had a warm coconut flavor. Shrimp tacos were overcooked but all the tacos were garnished and topped generously so it didn’t taste too obvious. The highlight was the TOSTADAS!! omg melted in my mouth.

Had a good time, the damn DJ nearly blew my ears out with the volume but it was a vibe once I got drunk and also the food was amazing so Ill be back

My wife gives it a thumbs up, as do I. We had the tacos, I had to beef and she had two pork ones. Disappointed that they did not allow you to mix and match tacos like many other places. I would have liked to drive a fish and maybe one other kind. We had a group of eight and everyone enjoyed their food.

Best guacamole around the corner — the vibe is so good, you won’t want to leave this place lol.
The drinks are amazing, the food is delicious, but the desserts are something you’ll definitely want to come back for, must try “flan “

We were only able to try their guacamole & salsa combo, & some drinks. Delicious!! Ordered tacos but they never arrived (waited for over half an hour). It turns out something happened in their kitchen. Wish they informed us earlier. We would have def waited longer but we had a plane to catch. Despite this, I would still recommend Añejo 👍👍👍
Very good cocktails. One of the staff gave us complimentary tequila shots.

Response from the owner

I apologize you didn't have the opportunity to finish the meal. Please reach out when you plan on returning. I will make it right. I am so happy everything else went well. The tacos would have hit their mark for sure. I look forward to hearing from you.

Benny Ramos GM
benny@anejorestaurant.com

If you’re looking for a spot that actually delivers on vibe AND food, Anejo in Tribeca is it. We went on a rainy weekend and honestly it was the perfect call.

The space alone sets the tone — warm lighting, woven pendant lights, rustic wood tables, and a bar stocked with what looked like every tequila in existence. It feels elevated but not pretentious at all.

Now the food. We ordered way too much and had zero regrets. The guacamole trio is a must start — three different preparations, each one better than the last. The chilaquiles were some of the best I’ve had in the city, crispy tortillas in a rich salsa with a perfectly fried egg on top, pickled onions, cotija, the works. The steak and eggs situation? Stunning presentation, bold flavors, that red sauce they swipe on the plate is addictive. The breakfast tacos were fresh and loaded. And the yuca fries with that pink dipping sauce were a sleeper hit that nobody talks about enough.

We also did the margarita tower and it was as fun as it looks.

This place is perfect for a group brunch, a date, or honestly just a solo rainy day treat yourself moment. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Do yourself a favor and just go.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Mexican in all of the Mexican restaurants I have dined. Manager Benny is attentive and most hospitable! Chef Ricky and
Chef Taj are gifted in kitchen magic! Staff is simply exceptional. I hosted my daughter’s birthday and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the lovely space and atmosphere. The food was incredible
We coursed guac salsas, pork belly tostadas, chicken quesadillas, *chef special meatballs* sensational! Ceasar Salad, Carne arrachera and salmon vercruzana ridiculously delicious and of course rice and beans! Special thank you to
Daria Bilova who took care of all of my requests with patience and fabulous energy! And to manager Benny thank you for making this a memorable moment for my family! Anejo Tribeca come experience it for yourself!

We recently tried this Mexican restaurant and had such a great experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with the pork belly tostada and chips with guacamole — both were delicious. The tostada had amazing flavor and texture, and the guacamole was fresh, creamy, and the perfect start to the meal.

For our entrées, we ordered tacos with rice and beans on the side. I had the chicken Al pastor taco, which was juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. My spouse had the birria taco and couldn’t stop talking about how tender and rich it was. The rice and beans were the perfect classic sides to round everything out.

Overall, everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of authentic flavor. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

After experiencing a terrible night at another restaurant we came straight to Añejo for a pallet cleanse.

They are always so friendly, accommodating and the food and drinks are amazing !
Our server was so nice and checked in on us constantly. We had the guacamole, fish tacos, lamb tacos and some flavored margaritas.
Once again everyone is so attentive not just our server but all staff is making sure you have what you need.
There isn’t much more to say except they are so great and it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants, highly recommend! :)

The Al pastor tacos were way too wet, and didn’t have the classic char on the chicken you’d expect from a classic Al pastor (probably why they list it in quotes). Fish tacos were better, and the pork tostadas were my favorite. Overall, it was a serviceable meal

LONG hair found in our food. Steak was undercooked with very over done eggs on top. Manager Benny tried to help but we felt harassed as he kept coming to our table to correct the multiple mistakes. More focused on avoiding a bad review than fixing our food. The check was wrong four times and half way through our meal we lost our appetite. The shrimp and grits were decent (apart from the hair) but the jalapeño biscuit felt reheated as it was still very hard. Felt not too busy but service was still very very slow. French toast was awesome and that’s the only reason it’s not 1 star for food.

Response from the owner

Mr. Kellogg,

I am again apologizing for your experience. It was one of those times where everything went wrong. You would think that both servers calling out putting and the hair in the food would be enough. But it wasn't. I was very embarrassed as this is far from the normal experience that Anejo provides. I was not going make excuses it. In an attempt to find some humor in the situation, I asked you not to beat me up in the review. Just one of those things we couldn't recover from. I did my best by comping your friends brunch in addition to giving free margaritas for a possible next visit. Which I only assume won't be happening. The marg cards don't expire so you're always welcome back for at least a drink.

Benny Ramos GM

Shout out to Raul for giving me such an amazing experience! His customer service and knowledge of drinks was above and beyond. The restaurant is very lovely and cute. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with warm welcome and smile by the host. I sat at the bar and Raul was the bartender. I challenged him to make me a cocktail drink with requests of tastes, flavors, and type of liquor and he did not disappointed me. I’ve never had a drink with egg york due to the raw tasting and smell I experienced at other restaurants. But he know how to make it tasty and delicious! A basket of fresh nacho chips is brought out with 4 different sauces. The sauces could use a little improvement of additional seasonings (little bland and spicy). The tacos were delicious with crispy fish fillet served in warm soft tortilla shells. Definitely need to check this restaurant out 💯
