Beautiful restaurant, table for 1.. didn’t book but there was no wait time (I went for lunch at around 2pm on a Friday) seated at the bar which allows you to watch drinks and food be made! Had the bread side dish and the Cacio e pepe pasta but didn’t add the truffle.. it was delicious!! Water and soda totalled to about $17 then food on top… it’s on the pricier side for me, but the experience and food was definitely worth it! Staff were very friendly and attentive, will be back on my next visit to nyc!

Super delicious food! You can see the quality in the ingredients. Good service and a really nice ambiance, though it's a little bit pricey.
What I also loved was the atmosphere and the people there. A couple sitting next to me told me they visit this place every single time they come to New York it’s basically their tradition at this point, and they absolutely love it. We ended up chatting for a while, which made the whole experience feel even warmer and more memorable ✨
As for the food, it was tasty and definitely something different from the usual. My pasta took quite a while though around 25 minutes.
Before ordering my cocktail, I asked how sweet it was because I don’t like drinks that are too alcohol-heavy. They recommended one to me, and I ordered it, but honestly the alcohol flavor completely overpowered everything else. It was much stronger than I expected.
Still, I’d probably come back a second time just to try something different. Everything looked incredibly aesthetic, the presentation was beautiful, and watching the dishes being prepared right in front of you made the whole experience feel very “wow.”
Food was good the pasta was cooked perfectly giving the right amount of consistency and chewiness. However It's hard to find value here paying $35 for simple pasta without meat. I understand its NYC but I don't like it. Spending so much time in Italy you realize pasta is never this expensive. The staff was excellent and the vibes looked awesome inside. I simply chose to do takeout.
The polpette della nonna, with those heavenly little French fries, are a must-try. This great Italian restaurant in Soho offers fantastic value for money and is perfect for a romantic date. The wine by the glass selection includes barolo, brunello, and super Tuscan wines.
Maybe I have too much expectations on an Italy restaurant called itself pasta bar. Given the fact that the fresh pasta is usually very authentic. But have to say that the food is very average……..
tiramisu is heavy dense, very weird texture.
Vibe is great but food is ummm
I travel to here from Texas every month to eat. Best pasta I’ve ever had in life. Everything is always so good and made to perfection. Service is always amazing as well. I love the staff! Will continue to come, can’t wait for them to open in Miami!
After a friend chose this spot for our regular dinner gatherings, most of us were skeptical, but we were all pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food is at A Pasta Bar.

We all started with some mocktails - two of us went with the cucumber drink and the other two went with peach. We all confirmed they were both very good.

All four of us went with the 3 course seasonal menu and shared the following apps: polpette, burratta, steak tartare and seasonal mushrooms. Standout was the mushrooms - these were phenomenal.

We ordered the following pastas: cacio e pepe, vongole, norma and bolognese. All four were delicious, but the standouts were the vongole and cacio e pepe. Desserts were also delicious. The right level of sweetness for all three - tiramisu, pistachio gelato and budino with hazelnuts.

All in all, not a bad bite. A range of good to phenomenal. The staff were just attentive enough and gracious. Sitting at the counter is probably fun - we were a group so had a high top table (a little chilly being right by the door). A little loud, but not too bad.
Had the NYC Restaurant Week dinner menu.
The house-made brie appetizer was a standout, and the Tonnarelli cacio e pepe was easily my favorite. The other pastas were solid, too. Timing between courses was a bit slow, but pairing everything with a glass of Gavi made it worth it. Would recommend.
Hi beautiful people I just wanna say I love love love the food, the service the atmosphere the decor the drinks and the speed in which my food comes etc etc It’s always a good time whether I’m by myself or with my girlfriend. I have one complaint the last time I went there was no focaccia bread. When will the focaccia bread be back? My girlfriend took her mom there last night and they said they did not get any focaccia bread and I’ve raved about it and I tell people about your restaurant. Has the focaccia bread been discontinued?
We had a great time at A Pasta Bar! The quality of the food, the execution of each plate and the warm service made all special
I went here for my 35th birthday with my wife and it was a dream come true! I had been looking forward to coming here ever since I discovered it. Wendy was our waitress and she took the time to go over my choices due to our dietary restrictions. We got the Pasta Tasting and enjoyed every bite! For our dessert, I was treated to their chocolate mousse with hazelnuts and homemade whipped cream which was absolutely delightful! I highly recommend coming here especially for your special occasion!
I love great Italian food and I especially love great pasta. Living in the West Village of Manhattan affords the opportunity to have some of the best pasta in the country - I Sodi, Via Carota, L’Artusi, Barbuto … - the bar is very high. I ventured a little outside the neighborhood to try A Pasta Bar this evening and wow, I was not disappointed. The meal was outstanding. I was by myself, so I kept it simple - Panne Della Casa to start. Loved it - particularly the ricotta and olive oil dip. The focaccia was super fresh, salty, and flavorful. The pasta - the pasta was incredible. 10/10. I absolutely loved this dish. The Maltagliati with sausage and pumpkin. I love a great bolognese, which is on the menu, and this was similar but unique. The pasta was super fresh and the sauce was rich, meaty and flavorful I finished with a hazelnut gelato and walked home with a spring in my step. Highly recommend.
What an experience! I was so excited to experience watching the chef’s making your dishes right in front of you! I basically knew exactly what I wanted before I got there so I had very high expectations. As the Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe satisfied my expectations! The salad was also delicious, had a tint of lemon as well. I loved the vibes inside as well. I would definitely got back! My heart is on the Casio e Pepe, so idk if I would try anything else!!
The black truffle Alfredo is the most delicious pasta I think i have ever eaten in my life…. Cool vibe and great service. Music is bumping but tasteful. Open air restaurant makes everything perfection.
