Crazy and amazing place! Great food and the staff was nice. Very noisy and good vibes. One of the best spots in the city.

I’ve had the standard course menu at several other Zuma locations and always enjoyed the experience, which made this visit especially disappointing.

From start to finish, dinner took over 3.5 hours!! due to what seemed like a severely backed-up kitchen. There were long delays between every course — with an especially frustrating 45 minute wait between the third and fourth courses. Service also appeared disorganized, as even getting water refills took a long time. We were also given the same course twice at one point.

The food itself was noticeably below the standard you’d expect from Zuma. One course was literally buttered corn on the cob, which felt incredibly underwhelming for a $150 tasting menu. Overall, the dishes lacked the quality and refinement I’ve experienced at other locations.

The only standout was the chocolate lava cake dessert, which was good. Even then, the accompanying fruit plate was disappointing: sour kiwis and grapes, underripe mango, and completely flavorless melon.

For the price point and Zuma’s reputation, this experience missed the mark in both execution and quality.
Zuma never disappoints. We absolutely love the sushi, and the hand rolls were incredible especially the spicy tuna and salmon avocado. Every single bite was packed with flavor. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and just as delicious, and we also really enjoyed the corn and cauliflower both were standouts. Such a great dining experience all around, we’ll definitely be back! Also, if you are deciding for dessert get the cheesecake!!!
The food was great, the drinks were great, the vibe was AMAZING! You feel like you’re walking into a classy yet chill environment where there’s attention to detail in every aspect. The menus are focused while providing something for everyone. I’m a bourbon guy and I REALLY enjoyed their take on the old fashioned. The effort that goes into making the ice here is premium cocktail bar quality. My ice barely melted the entire time. You see them working large blocks of ice down to specific shapes by hand while you’re here.

Again, great food and drinks. Amazing vibes. I took my team out for dinner here as a group but saw others on dates, others celebrating and so on. All felt welcomed to have a great night. We enjoyed ourselves.
This wasn’t our best sushi experience in NYC. We may have caught them on an off day, as we’ve been to the Madrid location and it was significantly better. The quality here didn’t match what we had there, and the flavors felt a bit off. Service was also slow considering the time we arrived. On the positive side, the ambiance is great and the space is beautifully designed.
Went to Zuma last night with my Mom and Pops and it was nothing short of amazing. Jack and his staff really provided an excellent experience. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were 10/10. On a side note, my mother is completely Vegan. She had the tofu salad and said it was the best tofu she had ever eaten.
I went to Zuma last night for an amazing private‑room dinner, and the food truly delivered. The staff were accommodating, professional and friendly, the drinks were very well made, and the food was exceptional across the board. All the seafood dishes were standouts — especially the roasted lobster and the yellowtail — and the steak was cooked perfectly. Every dessert we tried was excellent, the lava cake, mango–passionfruit and the homemade mochi.

But I’ll be honest — if I hadn’t been tucked away in that private space, this isn't a place I'd recommend (since it is not my vibe). The restaurant is massive, extremely dark, and incredibly loud - it is beautifully decorated, trendy and people want to be seen here.

But what bothered me the most is that the hospitality at the front door was absent. I stood in a long line at the height of dinner service and it took a good ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. For a place operating at this level -- that first impression was rough and disappointing.

Outside of that there is plenty to eat and drink - make a reservation, dress appropriately and enjoy!
We came in for a nice anniversary dinner at Zuma and walked out with full stomachs, a few surprises, and a bill that made us pause.

We started with the sake marinated chicken wings. Incredibly crunchy with a delicious flavor that set the tone nicely for everything that followed. The rock shrimp came out crunchy as well, sauces on the side and a little lemon on top. Enjoyable, though I will say Morimoto still holds the top spot for rock shrimp in my book.

We had ordered the spider roll but they did not have it available, so they offered a lobster roll as a substitute. I said sure, not realizing what I was agreeing to price wise. It came out and it was okay. The flavor was interesting, kind of crab like, which could just be how lobster reads on the palate sometimes. But when the bill came and I saw fifty dollars for that roll I felt it. I had assumed it would be somewhere in the same range as the spider roll. That assumption cost me.

The spicy tuna roll was a highlight. Real heat, well put together, very good.

For the mains, Wifey went with the miso cod and I had the grilled Chilean sea bass. Both were buttery, soft, and delicious. That is the best way to describe them. We also had a baked potato that came with a solid kick of heat, and the skin on it was especially good.

To close out the night, Zuma brought us a complimentary raspberry sorbet with fresh fruit in honor of our anniversary. That was a genuinely nice touch and honestly softened the blow of seeing the full bill laid out in front of us.

Overall it was a good meal. The food delivered where it counted. Just go in knowing what you are ordering and what it costs, because Zuma is not cheap. But to see this smile on that beautiful face, worth it.
This place was absolutely fantastic! I came here for lunch and ordered the Ebisu Business lunch. I was extremely satisfied with my meal however I have a large appetite so I had to get the white rice on the side (free) and an extra order of fatty tuna.

The watercress and avocado salad is PHENOMENAL! I could have just ate a giant bowl of that and been completely satisfied. Delicious! I also got the chefs special sushi which was 3 pieces of nigiri.

For my main I had the salmon with teriyaki sauce and ordered it medium. Very good!

The ambiance is very serene and comforting. Perfect for a date or business meal or even to go by yourself. The restaurant is very beautiful and upstairs they have multiple rooms for larger parties that are all private.

Definitely will be visiting again!
Michael, our server was phenomenal. Knows his menu, and was a great representation of what hospitatlity is all about. Everything we had was wonderful! Perhaps consider something other than the slider buns for the caviar? Otherwise, it was sheer perfection. Thank you!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Zuma delivered an incredible dining experience from start to finish.

Zuma is one of those places where you either love it or really like it — and for me, it definitely landed on the love it side. The low lighting, the spacious layout, and the overall vibe set the tone immediately. It feels elevated but relaxed at the same time.

We went the route of the chef’s selection, which was perfect because it let us try a wide range of dishes. Everything was plated beautifully and thoughtfully. I had a fish dish with an incredible sauce (can’t remember the exact name), but the flavor was on point. The desserts were just as impressive — visually and taste-wise — and everything felt intentional.

Drinks were excellent across the board. I usually drink prosecco, but they didn’t have it — and honestly, that turned into a win because I got introduced to Ca’ del Bosco, which was amazing. We ended up getting a bottle, and it paired perfectly with the meal.

One small detail that really stood out to me was the environment as a whole — even down to the bathroom. It was clean, well-designed, and yes… even the paper towels were top-tier. Soft, quality, and clearly intentional. Those little things matter and say a lot about the standards of a place.

Normally I don’t even take photos of my food, but everything looked and tasted so good that I had to. No complaints at all — the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all on point. Most importantly, it put a big smile on my girlfriend’s face, which automatically adds bonus points.

Really great spot. Highly recommend.

— Teyvon 🍽️✨
A wonderful date night spot for you and your partner. The service was exceptional. It was a dark and cozy ambiance that felt private. We had some delightful food. I personally recommend the scallops and the shiitake mushrooms. Quite the experience for the palate. The steak was tender and soft to eat.
Also the bathroom was a cool setup. I definitely recommend if you want have a culinary experience…. Then go here.
Zuma is a great up level place for dining. expensive but delicate food. not an every day casual dine out, but for impressive events or special occasions it fit well.
we were in a large group with partner and customer and had great time and enjoyed the food and the venue
This is one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in New York. The food is all fantastic but it is matched by excellent service, as well. We had a group of 7, including kids, and we all had a very enjoyable experience. The dishes are all meant to be shared and we were able to try a variety of offerings. One of my favorites was the Wagyu beef dumplings. The strip steak was also delicious and very tender (see photo). I highly recommend dinner here and we'd love to visit again.
Overall great spot. Second time there, first time was for a work event in the banquet space which is absolutely stunning room to have dinner in. We did the premium omakase ($250/pp) and my only criticism is that the first several courses came out way too fast so took a point off for that, it almost felt like we were being rushed, multiple courses on the table at the same time which I didn’t appreciate however, later on, they definitely slowed it down. Food was incredible, DJ vibe was fun the music wasn’t too loud. Menu highlights were the tuna tartare, scallops, lobster, wagyu steak, sea bass (raw and cooked), wagyu dumplings. Presentation was fun throughout, cocktails were on point (Fig Manhattan and vida tequila drinks). More regal and authentic than Tao (which is for sure also a solid pot). Dessert was a fun combination of fresh fruits, but also had ice cream and lava cake which was outstanding. The espresso martini was on point and the branded chocolate flake on top was a nice touch. Would go again to try their regular menu.
