I bought cupcakes, currants roll, cassava pone and sponge cake. The lines were long but the workers, worked swiftly and in an order so the waiting time was not bad at all. It's been about a couple of years since I've been to the restaurant( about 5 years ) or more the deserts were tasty, only one thing I wish were the same the size of the currants roll, they are cutting them very small and selling them cheaper than any other bakery I know. Next time I go back to Brooklyn I will make sure I have more cash to buy food and pastries. They don't take CARD of any kind, only CASH, CASH, CASH.

This place usually has a line going out of the door & often around the corner. I got there at a time there were only 3 or 4 people in line. I ordered doubles and a chicken roti. Food was very good, cooked and spiced nicely. Once I ordered the food it was ready in less than 5 minutes. Service was good.

Is it me is Trini food never hot (warm)?? I did ask them to warm a Veggie Pattie for me since I like my food better on the warmer side. That was the only thing hot in my pile. I’m new to Jersey and spent the day in NYC @ the museums. I had Trini food on my mind since morning. Service was excellent. Unfortunately I ordered a souped up shrimp roti.. I went to have it the next day.. no shrimp, no pumkin, no Chana .. just potatoes and spinach. I called they said they would replace. I hope I’m down the side again. There’s so many places to try. Try to leave a first time great impression. Trinicity was awesome and fresh. Best wishes.

The best Trinidad bakery in Brooklyn. You can count on them to get your fresh baked goods (currants roll, buns, cake, meat pie, etc.) However, im not a fan of their cooked food (except the shrimp wontons) cause everything lacks a lot of flavor. The channa for the doubles have good taste but the bara is heavy (thick). What I don’t like is that roast bake doesn’t be available until all 7pm. When I come to buy goods at 4pm I have to wait another 3 hrs for something else and if I come at 7pm, currants roll sell out cause that does come out for 3pm. Everything just need to make and sell straight through.

My mom went there for the first ever this morning....well. The shrimp doubles tasted like they were straight from a doubles spot in Trinidad, the best bara I've tasted in NYC. The beef roti was delicious & they did not skimp on the meat, as some places might. The cassava poe, delightful!

Delicious and great prices
- Roti - huge but I would have liked a little more seasoning and curry taste; still decent
- Pone - absolutely perfect; can taste ask the ingredients (nutmeg, extract, etc.)
- Current Roll - absolutely delicious
- Coconut Slice - delish but a bit dry; could be that I put it in the fridge
... definitely a place you should visit
**2hr parking, but busy area, so a challenge

I ordered a doubles the other day. So good...and it was a large portion! I'll be back to try their other dishes. Their baked goods looked delicious too!

Finally got around to going to this place. I tried the currant roll and the pone. Not everyone know how to make pone. It’s one of those things that you either have a good recipe or you don’t. I had a piece from Errol’s the other day and it was greasy and tasteless. The one from this place though was very good; lightly spiced with a texture reminiscent of my own. Currant roll was flaky, and overall very tasty. All that being said, the long line is a deal breaker for me. Some people could do it, I can’t. A long line for food, imho, is never worth it unless you’re broke and the food is free.

Very nice staff and the food is always fresh. Cash only. I have only had the Chana doubles, currant rolls, coconut rolls and cassava pone. The currant and coconut rolls as well as Chana doubles are all excellent and I re-order them constantly. Vegan friendly and great prices !

This place is a gem! Certainly one of those places that lives up to their reputation and volume of reviews. The employees were super friendly and the lines move quick. I got the beef patty and coconut roll and when I asked what the circular pod like patty’s were (trinidadien style beef patty), the store owner was nice enough to include two of them on the house for me to try. The beef patty’s were excellent, just enough kick but you can still taste that it was quality. Crust was thin and meat savory. The trinidadien style was equally good, with a super savory filling and thin shell. The coconut bread was also very nice, packed with coconut shavings and this sweet filling. I am really glad I gave this place a try and would highly recommend if you ever find yourself in crown heights!

The trini items are almost perfect. I'd go back for the pastry and the doubles. The store is busy and the staff is helpful but its Chinese menu portion leaves much to be desired. I had to pull out my wok to cook to my taste.

Deep in BK, we were at the children's Carribean parade and we saw the line outside so my better-half knew she had to try it. It was so good, some type of wrap with curry-type oxtail with rice. She also got a meat pie and it too was splendid. When you go here get in line, smile to your line neighbor and know what you want when you get to the counter and SPEAK-UP so they can hear you. They will do you right. Authentic food, made with care and comes out hot

This place is incredible. Goat Roti is out of the world, and the portion you get for $12 is absolutely enormous. Patties and doubles are excellent too. Currant roll is a must get, if they have it. Can’t believe it took me so long to try this spot!

This place exceeded my expectations from all aspects! The food, the service and the vibe! Being unfamiliar with Trinidadian food and the menu, we had many questions and the lady who took our order explained everything so patiently. She and the owner even gave us treats on the house that we didn't order! What is this unfamiliar hospitality that I don't experience living in Manhattan!? Even the customers in line were nice, chatting with us about their favorite items from the shop.

Food wise everything was delicious, freshly made, and tasted like home cooking. Much better than de hot pot that I tried the other week. My favorite were the chicken soup (could get without the meat), the double (roti skin no sugar!), and the coconut roll which was warm and flaky! Would love to come back to try other things.
