Happy hour with my work colleagues at The King of Fish was a great time! The food was delicious and outdoor space perfect for an after school outing. Additionally the rock music playing in the background was awesome too. The only downside was slow service.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We ordered the Aguachile, La Cruda (mixed seafood soup), Tostadas Sampler Platter, a crab empanada, and The Maniac (lobster taco). Fresh, flavorful, and delicious food. Attentive staff. Highly recommend!
Came because the photos of the food looked so fantastic and they did not disappoint. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. They make their tortillas in-house, and you can really taste how everything is made by hand here.
I had the King of Fish Platter and it was absolutely delicious. Roger was a great host and made the experience even better. The music was awesome, the drinks were just as good, and the overall vibe was perfect. I’ll definitely be back!
Great spot! Service is outstanding!
Food and drinks are great, drink menu is excellent and some drinks have really cool presentation
Def a spot to stop by
You know you’re about to step into something really special when a place is buzzing—even on a Sunday night. From start to finish, everything we ordered was exceptional: the mezcal, crab empanada, tostadas sampler and fish soup were all incredibly fresh and packed with flavor.

Huge shoutout to Angeles for her warm service—it truly made the experience even better. And honestly, they had me the moment I saw the line “Our food comes from the sea, not from the fridge.” That says it all. A must-visit and absolutely worth the hype.
Great place to try some fish tostadas! They have ceviche, octopus, shrimp, and shark! Very delicious, and the indoor space has a cool design. The staff was very helpful and friendly in helping us choose our meal. There is a credit card limit, but an ATM is available inside.
If you love high quality food, you have to try this spot! The ingredients are top notch and you can really taste the difference. The tortillas are super unique, the cocktails are amazing (especially the mezcal ones, my favorite spirit), and the vibe is beautiful with great music. Service is 10/10. Highly recommend! 🙌🏻
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Food is amazing, a seafood lover's delight. Margaritas are delicious. The atmosphere is casual and a little campy. Roger is super hospitable. Love it.
Amazing food, service and ambience! We had an amazing night here. 4 kids and 3 adults with a last minute reservation and the staff were so accommodating and friendly.

The drink menu has an impressive selection of mezcal which is my absolute favorite. 2 pages of mezcal drinks! All fresh house made ingredients.

The food was also just as amazing. We tried the garlic butter shrimp, guacamole and agua chile shrimp. All were yummy and fresh with the right amount of spice.

I tried the fish and lobster tacos. Both were food dance inducing! The homemade corn tortillas were hearty and held up to the generous fillings.

I also tried the crab pilon which was a taco served on a fried plantain. That was super yummy too!

I’m leaving here stuffed and happy!! Super cute spot for a date or family night out!

Ps- they were playing awesome music too!!
I was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico and would frequent Ensenada for fish tacos and mariscos. I can confidently say these fish tacos and tostada as are on par if not better than the ones I’ve had over my lifetime. The tortillas are homemade, which truly elevates the tacos here. Service is also incredible. A truly hidden gem, and my new favorite spot for mariscos!
Hole in the wall! Great vibe.. there are two section. The indoors in dark and vibey with great music and the outdoors is light airy a with cute decorations. Staff is super super nice and accommodating. We were sat in 5 mins!

The food was fantastic! Seafood was super fresh. We got calamari mixed plate for an app and the guac. Both were delicious and fresh! Highly recommend. The platter is a steal!!!
My friend and I went to check out The King of Fish at 5pm on a Tuesday after seeing the rave reviews. I made a reservation, but it wasn't necessary! I do want to add that it was drizzling, so that could be why the restaurant was not super busy. The ambiance has a nice, cozy feel and they commit to the nautical theme with their outfits! There was a prettier seating area in the back, but it looked like it was under renovation.

I had three tacos: shrimp ($6), fish ($6), and octopus ($7). My friend got the platter sampler ($20). The highlight was the freshness of the seafood. That being said, I do like the taste of fresh shrimp, light fish, and octopus, but find the profiles to be on the mild side. I can appreciate the lightness but prefer a more robust flavor profile playing with sauces, spices, and vegetables in the taco. I also liked that their taco shell was robust enough to not fall apart but maintained the soft-taco vibes. My favorite was the fish because the batter provided more flavor.

Service here was warm and welcoming! Our original server just spoke Spanish, so the bartender stepped in to help us translate. They did multiple check backs to make sure we were okay and did not pressure us with the check. If you're looking for cozy vibes and fresh seafood small bites, then check out The King of Fish!

I couldn’t recommend this place more—the food, ambiance, and drinks were all perfect. We kept the menu after ordering because we knew we would order more (and we did). I would definitely recommend the mixed seafood tostada and fish taco as they were love at first bite and packed with toppings!! We also got "The King of Fish" which is their fried fresh fish served with rice and salad and available only on Sat/Sun—so glad I got to try this limited dish. They also have an extensive drinks menu which were not too expensive compared to other places. The staff is super accommodating and you can tell they love what they do! Would love to come back when I’m in the area and try new menu items~

Best Fish Tacos!! Wow. The ceviche tostada was also amazing! I tried the jalapeno tuna taco and crab empanada. And of course I had to try the coconut flan everyone is raving about. And YES! Do not leave without trying this! Drinks were fresh, strong and not tart or sour. Felt pretty good after two. Lol. The staff were so attentive and we did not wait long for anything! I wish I knew about this place sooner! It's actually a bit hidden. But now that you know, come and check this spot out. You will not be disappointed.
