It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a diner in possession of a good appetite must be in want of an exceptional hot pot.<br><br>Upon entering Shoo Loong Kan, my senses were at once pleasantly assaulted by the most fragrant and stimulating aromas, promising a culinary adventure of the highest order.<br><br>Yet, while the broth was exceedingly flavorful and the meats cut to the finest perfection, it was the unparalleled attentiveness of our server, the remarkable Miss Nana, who truly captured our hearts.<br><br>Miss Nana possesses a disposition so amiable and manners so exquisitely refined that she turned what might have been a chaotic boiling of ingredients into an affair of the utmost elegance.<br><br>She anticipated our every need with a grace that would put the finest drawing rooms of Hertfordshire to shame.<br><br>Never did a broth bowl sit empty, nor did a request go unanswered; her vigilance was matched only by her charming demeanor.<br><br>To find such dedicated service in this modern age is a rare felicity indeed. I must declare, with the utmost conviction, that Shoo Loong Kan is thoroughly elevated by her presence.

Dine at this awesome Hotpot restaurant tonight. It's our second time here, they still have the best and frsh food and great services! Our server (Iris and Donna) is lovely, and they provided great service that make us feel home. We will come back again!

i had such a great experience and hotpot was delicious. We got 3 soup bases annd it’s so worth it! The beginner starter is anctually a lot of food if u want to choose quick. Our server Celine was super attentive the entire duration of our meal!! Great service and quality of meat and veggies are all up to standard!

Enjoyed this spot. The hot pot was good and there were a lot of options to choose from. Everything came out fresh and the broth had really nice flavor without being too heavy. The portions were solid and it was easy to share a few different things around the table. I liked that they give you aprons so you don’t have to worry about getting your clothes messy, which was actually really thoughtful and useful during the meal. It’s a small detail but it definitely made the experience better and more comfortable.<br><br>The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They checked in on us throughout the meal and were quick to help whenever we needed something. Service felt attentive without being over the top, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself had a cozy atmosphere and felt clean and organized.<br><br>I would say it’s better for a smaller group or dinner with a few people since the space feels a little tight for big groups. If you come with too many people it might feel crowded, but for a casual meal with friends or family it works really well. Overall, I had a good experience here and would come back again when I’m craving hot pot.

That said, setting the price aside for a moment, this is a very nice place with a great atmosphere and plenty to appreciate.<br><br>The photos really capture how warm and inviting the space feels. The traditional decor, glowing lanterns, dark wood, and classic hotpot setup create an authentic ambiance that makes the whole experience feel special.<br><br>The food was fresh, plentiful, and beautifully presented. There was also an impressive variety, from noodles, greens, tofu, and mushrooms to meatballs, sliced beef, fried items, and a very nice split broth setup. Everything tasted fantastic, and the menu felt a little creative while still delivering the comfort and fun you want from hotpot.<br><br>What stands out most is the quality of the food and the range of options available. That, together with the beautiful setting, is what makes this place memorable. Service was okay. It was not bad by any measure, just not especially outstanding.

This is my new favorite hot pot restaurant. Great value! As usual, I skipped the expensive wagyu beef and tried the lower priced ones to see if I could be happy. The Kobe is great! Tender and flavorful and only $15.99 for a big plate of it. I was so full! The lamb was good too. The crown daisies (my hot pot veggie of choice) were ok, not super fresh. Broth is spicier than usual. The waitress explained that this is a real Chongqing place, so the spice level is gonna be high. Therefore, I ordered “mild mild” and it was still very spicy! Be warned. In the end, I ate a lot and was totally satisfied. Recommended!

My brother has invited me to a hot pot dinner at shoo loong kan Manhattan, it was my first time to try hot pot. They had a special side bar for salads and there is a burner in the middle of the table you choose the kind of soup whether mild, tomato or coconut cream and cook the raw meat of your selection in the hot pot together with the salad dish it's a bomb. Then they ask you if you want ice cream. We had saki too. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best broth I’ve had at any hot pot restaurant! The tomato and pork bone broths were incredibly flavorful. I also loved the self-serve bar—everything from the sauces and condiments to the fresh fruit and snacks was top-notch. The decor is beautiful, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Michelle service is very good. The service attitude is conscientious. The hotpot here is absolutely fantastic! The broth is rich and flavorful, with incredibly fresh ingredients – the meat slices are tender and the vegetables are crisp. Service is quick and friendly. The cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for gatherings. Great value for money! Highly recommend for a delicious, satisfying meal.

This place is my most enjoyable Hot Pot place , I never say NO. The food , the presentation, the taste perfectly fits in my mouth. Their spice is not a joke.<br>Only thing I always have to prepare to go that place is you have to join the waitlist first. If not, you have to wait more than an hour. Very busy place. But worth it. I went there many times already. And always ready to go again!

This was our first time trying this place, and everything was amazing from start to finish. The service was beyond exceptional—our server, Iris, went above and beyond with her beautiful smile and helped us choose the best dishes. We ordered the beginner package and added beef tripe, and everything was delicious. The sauces and dips were incredibly tasty, and the overall experience was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back again and again!

小龙坎is our go to place in flushing!!! We always enjoy our hotpot and the free appetizers and desserts at the sauce bar. The staff there are all very nice and friendly, especially the young waitress Michelle, she’s an angel! She’s so so so sweet, served us so well and also very very kind to kids. I’d like to see her again when we go there next time!

Hot pot is one of my fav meals so I have a lot of thoughts. Overall experience was great! Ordering is on the iPad with photos. It’s NOT all you can eat and the items are decently expensive but for good quality meat. They have a selection of tea drinks as well.<br><br>The short rib beef is much higher quality. The other sliced beef is very fatty. The selection of items averages out. They have a few interesting items like liver, pig brain, winter melon, bamboo fungus etc. but they’re missing a few staples like watercress, fuzhou fishball. We got the pork bone and tomato broths which were delicious! The tomato broth was nice and thick and didn’t taste too sour. The pork bone broth was wholesome and not too salty. They have a pretty standard sauce bar selection. There are a few appetizer items at the sauce bar too.<br><br>The interior is very extravagant and looks like you’re in china. The music can be a little loud and it’s noisy when it’s packed. There’s a bathroom in the restaurant which is handy because I’ve waited a long time in the tangram mall bathroom line.<br><br>Service is quick and friendly. They skimmed the soup for us. Make sure to ask for aprons so you don’t splash on your clothes! The benches lift up to store your jackets and bags so they don’t smell afterward. We joined the waitlist online an hour before we were going to arrive. There were 36 parties ahead of us when we joined.<br><br>I wouldn’t choose this as my staple hot pot place but it would be nice for when friends are visiting or to treat someone to dinner!

Came here today with a friend and was served by 菜菜. She did a great job making sure we had good food and a smooth experience. One of the staff noticed our meat was mostly fatty pieces and immediately helped us change it without us even asking really appreciated that!<br><br>Overall, we had a great experience. The portions were generous, the flavor was good, and the service was thoughtful. Definitely will come back soon!
