Good traditional Shanghainese restaurant serving soup dumplings. This place is busy on the weekends. They have seating on the second level in addition to the ground level. Some seats are very close together and make it hard to get in and out of.

Food was good overall. First order of soup dumpling was free, and the desert at the end was also free. 卤鸭,醉鸡,烤麸,熏鱼 are all good. Good place to satisfy your Shanghainese food cravings.

LOVE this restaurant. You just try the sweet purple mochi with salted egg. They have great dine in deals. We had complimentary soup dumplings if we spent more than $10. So yummy. Cash only.
Wanted to try this place after all the viral videos. Sincerely my opinion just an ok place. We ordered Peking duck and it was just ok. Cold meat and the bun was soft and warm. Have had better Peking ducks in flushing. The dumplings were also not great but ok. Most of all the atmosphere we experienced has made us decide not to visit this place again. We felt like the tables ( not the booths) were too close to each other. The guest next to our table ( seems to be frequent visitor) started flossing his teeth as soon as he was done with his meal at the table. The flossing continued for almost 1/2 hour. We somehow made it out of that place without throwing up. Never going back.
Portions are on the small side. reasonable pricing. quick service. got 1 complimentary order of shanghai dumplings and a free dessert. CASH ONLY as of time of this post.
Some of the best dumplings in this plane of existence. There aren’t enough stars to properly express my satisfaction of this establishment. Make sure you order everything that looks mildly appealing or better, because I assure you it will surprise the heck out of you. In a good way. 😁
This is a fairly solid Chinese restaurant in Flushing. The dining area is spacious, and the decor features a nice traditional Chinese style, giving the place a refined atmosphere.

The service is warm and polite—which, for Chinese restaurants in New York, is pretty good.

We ordered several signature Shanghainese dishes, and they were genuinely impressive. The presentation was appealing, and the flavors were excellent.

Among the many Chinese restaurants in New York, this is definitely one worth recommending.
Everything was great! I especially loved their mapo tofu and buns. Soup dumplings were packed full of flavor, yum~ Appreciated the egg drop soup on the house. 😋
I've been going here for years. If you’re looking for top-tier dim sum in Flushing without a crazy price tag, Shanghai You Garden is still the spot. They also recently updated their menu, so it is a great place to be a little adventurous and try something new.

Their dim sum like their turnip cake was still a highlight. It was perfectly crispy on the outside. The sticky rice (Zongzi) was also delicious and hit the spot. Crispy noodles were also good.

Excited to try their new menu. It’s rare to find a place this consistent that still keeps things fresh. I’m already looking forward to going back and seeing what else is new.
Dimsums & Wontons were yummy. The fried chili placed at each table, paired with fried rice was excellent. Portion size is filling. The amouth of food that you get for the price you pay, I would definitely go back again!
This place is quite the hidden gem. The service was incredible as they kept the tables clean and removed dirty napkins and paper from the table and replaced immediately with clean ones. The staff was very attentive and kind. The soup dumplings had a thin skin and were piping hot inside with plenty of soupy goodness to slurp. We didn’t even have to ask for pickled ginger, they brought out right away. The Peking duck buns were soft and pillowy with all the right accompaniments for a savory and flavorful make your own bun experience.
We received the “spend $10 get free dumplings” offer and were given additional free dessert! This place is cash only, super affordable and delicious. We’ll be back again!
Pretty typical shanghainese food, xiaolongbao is good/decent especially since nanxiang sold out after getting their Michelin star. Good comfort food although appetizers are a bit pricey.
This is low-key a 5 star because they have always given out a complimentary xiaolongbao or Peking duck if you spend $10 as well as tongyuan at the end. Great people, great value.
Really love the hospitality here. Complimentary soup dumplings are amazing. Must try the crab and abalone soup dumplings as well. If you don’t like the fishy taste of the fumbling just pour some vinegar and add some ginger. Makes all the difference. If you like lots of sauce on your food then this place is for you. The beef cubes were incredibly juicy and tender. Barbecue pork was nice and tangy.
Authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price. Also found under the Peking Duck Sandwich Stall.

In the heart of NYC Chinatown there are tons of food options so it is difficult to find one that really stands out. This one does especially if you are a duck lover. We were visiting friends who live in the area and there was no question this is where we would go to get Chinese food.

There were 5 of us but we ordered 4 dishes, had plenty with leftovers. We ordered the duck bao buns which came with the duck sliced to bun size and all the fixings to make the bun the way you like. It was fantastic and very fresh.

We ordered Grandma's pork belly which came served in a cute piggy bowl. It was done to perfection and super tasty! The Shanghai Chicken (cold appetizer) was so good! But be prepared as this is authentic, the bones are still in it and cut with the slices. There can be small pieces in the meat.

If you spend over $40, they give you a free serving of dumplings. Our friends had to teach us the correct way to eat them as they are filled with meat and liquid. But out of this world delicious!!

The only drawback is it was a little challenging to find the door to get in. The waitstaff was great. I would recommend this restaurant.
The soup dumplings (better than din tai fung) are really good and same with the duck buns!! We came back a second trip to flushing for it. The other stuff is okay- try somewhere else for stinky tofu and rice rolls. They give you free tea and sweet rice soup w sticky rice balls. Also, their current special is if you spend 10$ they give you the soup dumplings for free - yum!! I would come again!
Was in Flushing and found this restaurant on Google maps was highly rated and decided to try. Was a hidden gem, the front of the restaurant was completely empty, but bustling in the back. Food was great and reasonably priced. The soup dumplings were not as good as others I’ve had and would not order again as the filling and the soup lacked flavor. However, the duck was delicious (even though it didn’t have much meat), the spicy tripe and beef was tender and tasty, the fried scallion and shrimp dumplings were delicious and would recommend. Our family of 4 ate for less than $85 all in (tax and tip). It’s cash only, btw!
