I am honestly shocked by both the service and the food quality at Shake Shack Midtown East.<br><br>The burgers smelled like old burnt cooking oil, and after eating, my entire family felt unwell. For the prices they charge, the quality was completely unacceptable. We paid nearly $90 for four burgers and two beers, and the experience was far below expectations.<br><br>The service was equally disappointing. I added a promotion for free fries to my order, but when I asked about it, I was simply told that I had not added it and that was the end of the conversation. No effort to help or resolve the issue.<br><br>What made the experience even worse is the ordering system. You are given a table number and the expectation is that food will be brought to your table. In reality, nobody brought anything. We had to keep watching the counter and eventually go get the food ourselves. If customers are expected to pick up their own orders, then don't hand out table numbers and create the impression of table service.<br><br>Very disappointing experience overall. Poor food quality, high prices, confusing service, and no real customer care. Dirty place. I will not be returning.

My daughter had an interview in the area so we stopped in to grab a bite . So we ordered on the kiosk it was really simple we did know what to order so we got some of everything( pic included ) the service was fast( we did get table service because we want to chill and eat) the women who brought us our food was such a delight im not sure of her name (we visited on a monday around 4pm) the server said she was leaving at 4 but stayed a lil adter to make sure we was good i appreciated the extra mile . Overall we had a great experience and would definitely patronized this restaurant again 😋

Excellent burgers at a reasonable price—though they should be bigger to match the ones in the photo. The flavor is GENIAL, but the restrooms were dirty. All things considered, they are the best burgers in N.Y.!!!

easily one of the worst place we have been all week..in general shake shack in london is really nice and clean...we made the mistke of going to that place late at night and is was really dirty. the food it self wasnt good at all...expensive with zero taste...the cheese was like cement and meat was burned...we left there as soon as posible.

This taste was nothing like the taste we know and love; it tasted quite bad and was awful. We've eaten much tastier and bigger hamburgers in other countries.

My office is on the same block as this Shake Shack, and during my first visit this week, I stopped by at peak lunchtime expecting a long wait, but I was out in no time! The service is fast and efficient—a 10/10.<br><br>Here are a few highlights of this location: 📍<br>✔️The Food: Everything was very fresh. You can tell they aren’t just pre-making food and letting it sit; my burger was hot, and the fries were crispy. During my recent visit, it didn't seem like the food was pre-made, as you can see the kitchen staff behind the counter cooking, grilling, and so on.<br>✔️ The Vibe: The staff is super friendly and helpful, which is impressive given how busy they were. Usually, with popular chains like Shake Shack, you might find staff overwhelmed or stressed, but here, the team seems used to high demand. They didn't seem phased when handling what must be a TON all at once: take-out, counter, and contactless orders (there are machines on the side of the counter where you can place your order without going to the counter). You can tell this Shake Shack location takes customer service seriously, and the staff here was on top of their game—friendly and attentive. It’s obvious this location has a strong team with good morale.<br>✔️The Space: It’s a bright, friendly spot, really important for a busy fast-food place. The staff was always cleaning and tidying up to keep everything neat and inviting. Surprisingly, the customers here were pretty good about pitching in by throwing away their trash and making sure their tables were ready for the next people. Usually, at places like this, most customers just leave their trays or napkins for the next person to clean up, but it was cool to see that everyone here was respectful and cleaned up after themselves. There’s plenty of seating, with big tables for groups and smaller ones for a couple or solo diners, so everyone can find a comfy spot. There’s also a condiment station stocked with ketchup, mayo, mustard, straws, and napkins, all clearly labeled so you can find what you need quickly.<br><br>📌Next time I crave a burger or shake, I’ll definitely come back to this spot, not only because it’s perfectly located right next to my office but also because I enjoyed both the service and the food, especially the quick turnaround, which gives me more time during my lunch hour to run a few errands!<br><br>📌 Overall, really impressive—great food and service. We stopped in for burgers by chance; we were really craving them. To our surprise, there was a really cool guy named Chris there, and I really enjoyed having him serve us. I felt like I wasn't in a fast food restaurant, but something a little more special.

Love there portobello and swiss cheese burgers!<br><br>Since 2014, I keep coming back and forth to this place for their burgers and their freis. Sooo good and tasty. They are famous for their burgers and my favorite is the portobello burger and swiss cheese. The fries and the desserts are also good.<br><br>The restaurant here is not too big but it can accomodate mnay. the service is good and fast. The restaurant is also accessible and friendly for those with reduced mobility.<br><br>Parking might be a bit tricky unless you are lucky to get the street parking in the nearby area.

What in the actual salt-coated hell is this place? Walked in and immediately questioned my life choices. The vibe? Dead. Like post-apocalyptic cafeteria dead. The folks behind the counter looked like they just saw rent day and gave up on joy. The food? Imagine someone threw a birthday party at a plastic toy kitchen and charged you fine-dining prices for it. And the salt level? Bro, did they win a lifetime supply in a sweepstake and decide to use it all on my fries? Guaranteed blood pressure spike. Avoid unless you're into culinary betrayal. 🧂☠️🍟

The most that I like from that store is that it offers you a lot of places where to plug on your charger, that’s essential when you are walking a lot doing tourism in NYC without a power bank. The staff were friendly and there were a lot of tables where to eat, it’s not a huge place but is cozy. I had delicious chicken nuggets.

If you like hamburger, you've eaten at least one in a fast food. Well, Shake Shack is a fast food serving great quality hamburgers - don't miss it! It's my favourite NYC fast meal, with reasonable prices and customizable options. Delicious burgers and scrumptious fries. Loved the hot dog as well. Very friendly and fast service. Great place to grab a bite on the go or sit down for a nice snack/meal.

Food is the usual shake shack fair. Tasty burgers and good ingredients. Very poor service at this outpost. When I approached the ‘Order Here’ sign, there was no line and no one made any effort to come take my order. After waiting several minutes and trying to get someone’s attention a staff member approached me and asked if I wanted to order I had to use the kiosk. I asked if I someone could just take my order, which was rebuffed. Then on the self service kiosk it asked if I wanted to tip. Taking a customers order seems like it should be the minimum. Will go to Five Guys nearby next time.

I recently brought my kids to enjoy a wonderful dinner at this place, and it was a fantastic experience. They ordered the Chicken Shack Burger along with some Spicy Korean BBQ Cheese Fries and iced tea. Let me tell you, both the food and the overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations.<br><br>The Spicy Korean BBQ Cheese Fries were a delightful treat. The crispy crinkle cuts were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. Topped with a generous amount of cheese sauce spiced with kimchi seasoning, these fries were bursting with flavor. The side of Korean BBQ sauce added a tangy and savory kick that took them to the next level. It was undoubtedly a hit with all of us.<br><br>As for the Chicken Shack Burger, it quickly became a favorite among both of our kids. The crispy, white-meat chicken breast was cooked to perfection and had a delicious crunch. It was served on a toasted potato bun, topped with lettuce, pickles, and a flavorful buttermilk herb mayo. It's safe to say that our kids, who are highly recommend trying this burger.<br><br>In addition to the fantastic food, the staff was friendly and attentive.
