Quality Bistro is one of those restaurants that understands how to make dining feel like an event. Located in Midtown Manhattan, it blends the energy of a classic Parisian brasserie with the bold confidence of New York City. The room is grand, lively, and beautifully designed, while the menu leans heavily into French bistro favorites with a steakhouse mentality—think exceptional steak frites, rich French onion soup, over-the-top butter service, and an outstanding wine program. What I appreciate most is that it feels equally right for a power lunch, a celebratory dinner, or a long afternoon with friends. It’s polished without being stuffy, and the hospitality matches the scale and excitement of the space. The onion soup was the weakest dish. It is not cheap, but nothing is anymore.

An exceptional dining experience. The food was elegant, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — every dish was perfect. The service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was charming and romantic. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was absolutely perfect. Easily a 5-star experience and a restaurant I can’t wait to visit again!
Came here for dinner our first night in NYC and left with the realization that no other meal that we were going to eat on the rest of the trip would top this.
We ordered the butter service, which was absolutely incredible. Other items ordered included steak frites, boeuf bourguignon papardelle, chocolate mousse and the corn crême brûlée, all of which were exceptional. We told our waiters, who were attentive and friendly throughout the meal, that we were hesitating between the corn crême brûlée and the macaroni and cheese gratin. After recommending us the corn crême brûlée, they also kindly brought us the gratin free of charge for us to try. Their recommendations were all on point, and we were even given a free lemon ice cream cake for dessert!
Can happily say that Quality Bistro lives up to its name - would recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal in the city!
Had the cutest dinner at Quality Bistro and I’m still thinking about that French onion soup. Honestly one of the best I’ve had…
rich, perfectly cheesy, and somehow both comforting and elegant at the same time.

But the real surprise? The bread service. Phenomenal. Warm bread, butter, spreads, little details everywhere… the kind of starter that accidentally becomes the highlight of the table because nobody can stop reaching for “just one more bite.”

The cocktails were also so fun , I especially the peacock glass moment because obviously presentation matters. The whole place feels very chic Parisian brasserie meets cozy NYC dinner energy. Dim lighting, beautiful interiors, amazing for a date night or a long catch-up dinner with friends.

10/10 recommend ordering:
• French onion soup
• The bread & spreads experience
• A fun cocktail
• And staying longer than planned because somehow dinner turns into a whole vibe there ✨
It was a satisfying experience. Aesthetically pleasing. The hostess, waitress and bus boys were kind. Food was great. I took suggestions and was happy with each. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. The only thing that I'll mention is that if say you have heels like myself or disability, the bathroom is down quiet a lot of stairs. Other than that great experience.

What I ordered:
Starters: Butter Service Garni, Dressed Big Rock Oysters, and Yellowtail Crudo.

Main course: Filet Mignon and Pommes Pureé.

Desert: Nutella Opéra Cake
The service was honestly one of the best we’ve had in NY (even better than some fine dining spots for sure). We were all so impressed by how warm and attentive everyone was, and every dish was so good too. We actually went in with low expectations for the French onion soup since we all love it and are pretty picky about it but it ended up being so good. Super clean and rich flavor without being too heavy.

The butter service was amazing as well. The butter itself was incredible and I loved the eggplant dip. The bread was also really good. Dessert wise, everything hit, but the chocolate mousse was definitely my favorite. The steak was probably the least standout dish for me but the lobster toast and escargot were both really good too.

Again, the hospitality felt genuinely warm throughout the whole experience, and the pacing of the meal was really well done too (from the appetizers to the mains), everything came out at the perfect timing. Overall the service felt truly top tier for NY, and we’d 200% come back. Loved how genuinely friendly and kind everyone was :)
Great spot for lunch before our show. We loved the tableside butter service, the steak frites, and the corn brûlée is a must-order. The French onion soup is everything you’d want from that dish. Unfortunately, the French onion burger fell short and felt more like a standard burger than a true French onion take. The tableside chocolate mousse was also delicious. The service and ambiance were absolutely five-star and made the whole experience feel special.
This place is definitely overhyped. The food was average at best. The steak was very bland and the Caesar was not remarkable. Drinks were good. Our server was nice but seemed like he had too many tables. We also got seated 30 minutes late. The restaurant itself is designed nicely so you can get good pictures.
We went to this restaurant for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing time. The food was really good and everything looked so nice. After dinner, some of our family members decided to join us, and the restaurant was very kind and helped us even though it was last minute.

Everyone was happy, the service was great, and we felt very welcome. It was a special night and this place made it even better. I really recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back again. ❤️
Had a reservation for 9:15 but ended up getting a seat around 10:15. They were running late on seating. A waiter handed out Champagne while we were waiting. After we got seated, they offered us free salad and a side dish for the steak. The food was great and everything was served quick after we got seated.
Extraordinary bistro just steps away from Mid-Town Hilton Hotel. Perfect lunch stop after checking into Hilton, cold Dec 31 afternoon, windy NewYear’s Eve as we celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary. This cold day was modulated by hot French Onion Soup and extraordinary Mac & Cheese…hot, stringy and perfect spices with amazing top browned to perfection in the oven.
A wonderful exotic cocktail at next table called, Spicy Bird, served in a large fun porcelain tropical peacock bird…mug! Where else but New York?
Perfect food, easy prices, fun delicious epicurean delights. Located on 55th street and Avenue of the Americas. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Took my wife and kids to this amazing french restaurant for son’s birthday. Food is solid 9.8/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Service is amazing 10/10. Gentleman in a beige suit, think he was the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Definitely will be back for more!
Absolutely fabulous dinner after the Met Opera night served by highly professional staffs. The starters look great so we ordered several plus one cheeseburger with frites to share. We started with their signature Butter Service Garni which was outstanding with several sides. The Green garlic escargot, French onion soup and Tomato & burrata were equally delicious.
We finished our meal with
Espresso cream brûlée w cappuccino foams. We totally enjoyed our experiences and will be back with family next time.
I came here for a special lunch with coworkers and we loved it. The atmosphere is warm yet polished. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be going back.
We had dinner at Quality Bistro, and although our table took about 40 minutes to be ready (even with a reservation), the team handled it with class. They offered us complimentary champagne while we waited, which was such a nice gesture and one of the many reasons we keep coming back as regulars.

Once seated, everything was outstanding as always. The food was a solid 10/10, and we were treated to complimentary starter and dessert, making the evening feel extra special.

A huge shoutout to our server Ciro, who was attentive and warm throughout the night, and to Declan at the bar.

Quality Bistro continues to impress us with its service, atmosphere, and consistently amazing food. Definitely one of our go-to spots in NYC.
