Oasis Diner

Recently I ordered from Oasis (which has been the occasional diner choice for me and my family for years, despite having on-and-off issues with them) and was told that my order of two salads (one with chicken, and one with steak) would be about a 30-minute wait. It was late, and my family was tired, but we were looking forward to the meals, so we waited.<br><br>We picked up the salads without any issue, and headed home.<br><br>However, upon opening the salads, the one thing my wife wanted on her salad - the thing she waited 30+ minutes for salads for, -the steak-, was missing. I checked the bag - no steak. I checked the order written - yes steak.<br><br>I called and spoke to a woman on the phone. I explained what I ordered and the issue. The response? "Well whoever wrote it down, didn't include it on the bill."<br><br>No apology, no attempts to make it right (other than, 'we can send it and charge you'), nothing.<br><br>I normally have a pleasant experience when I go in, so why is it that I always have an issue when ordering for pickup or delivery?<br><br>This is not how you do good business.<br><br>PS: The chicken was slightly under-done.

Came for diner food, accidentally encountered what may have been a classified operation.<br><br>Food was great, classic diner done right, but our waitress… I may already be saying too much.<br><br>No pad, no pen, took the whole table’s order from memory like she was receiving mission intel. Calm, surgical, no mistakes. She had that “I’ve been doing this for decades” energy, but with the precision of someone who may have trained in an assassin military diner program… I’m probably not cleared to discuss.<br><br>Think La Femme Nikita, if she retired and opened a diner… or maybe didn’t retire.<br><br>I swear she was less waitress, more covert operative posing as a diner legend. She moved through the floor like she was running an extraction.<br><br>Attentive without hovering, quick without rushing, warm without losing command. Elite.<br><br>At one point I felt like by watching her work I had accidentally seen something classified.<br><br>Food hit, service hit harder.<br><br>Honestly I’m probably divulging too much already. If this review disappears, you’ll know why.<br><br>Oasis Diner is excellent… and apparently home to at least one highly trained asset.

Large portions, nice seating, good service

Great diner to meet up with friends. I've had brunch and lunch food here. Usual diner fare. Their cheeseburgers and bacon, egg, cheese on a roll were delicious. Their fries and onion rings are not greasy at all. It's not a fancy place but it's very homey. The service is very friendly and fast. It's our neighborhood spot. They get perfect marks for being that diner that hasn't changed and has reasonable prices. Street metered parking.

The restaurant has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious and clearly made with care. Even though the staff were very busy, they were still attentive, friendly, and provided great service. Overall, a wonderful dining experience — we’d definitely come back.

Nice quaint diner that apparently I've been driving by for years and didn't notice. They were pleasant, had great coffee and food was decent..

The food here is always great and the server that attended me and my family today was super kind and made sure we had everything we needed thats why we always come back to eat here

Pretty nice diner. Seated immediately. Service was pleasant and attentive. Whereas the coffee was always hot and flavorful, last time it was rather bland. And the two hamburgers ordered by my two daughters last time featured bad meat. We returned them and received credit for one dish. Place was redesigned several years ago.<br>No excuse for bad meat. Cannot come here again.

I had the fish and chips. It was Haddock and crisp and tasty. The fries 🍟 were also good. Nice and crunchy 😋. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere. It was New Year's Day 01.01.2024. And the service was 👍 great. I would go back and try something else.

This diner is awesome. Diners that's been in the family for years always add a special touch. Our waitress Suki was great. I probably spelled her name wrong please forgive me. We were immediately seated and taken care of. The food is great so many choices to choose from. I ended up getting the crab omelette. I never even knew that existed. It was worth the price. You will not be disappointed.

This diner was recommended by a friend, and I love food so I had to check it out. Well I been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and with each visit it just keep getting better and better.<br><br>The first thing that stands out for me was the friendly welcome from the staff. The ambiance, is everything. Especially when you looking for something cozy warm and inviting.<br><br>The food, I want to try everything on the menu to most likely I will be adding to this review later on.<br><br>Try the waffles 🧇 Belgian are my favorite with fruits. Especially after a bike ride. But so far my favorite is the vegetarian burger 🔥🔥🔥🔥<br><br>Go try them out and see for yourself.

First time visiting stopped in for lunch. The food was good, had a very lovely waitress who made my visit great. I love the coleslaw, and the chicken strips. The minestrone soup, delicious 👌👍

Great spot esp for locals. They renovated it and it looks and feels amazing with the new decor. The service was superb and the food was on point.<br><br>My chicken portobello panini was so good and flavourful. I upgraded to curly fries and it was a win with the mustard mayo sauce. Taste better than with ketchup. My friends like her steak panini. The steak quality was very good and its juicy and tender.<br><br>They provide coleslaw and pickles for each table to open our appetite and I think that's how we made it to dessert.
