Great little corner diner vibe. Amazing selection of dishes with a wide variety of different foods. I had the meatball parmesan hero and it was absolutely delicious! My server was very nice and attentive and all around nice vibe. Definitely recommend!
I had lunch with a colleague here today (and had been several times in the past), and the prices have gotten really insane for a diner. I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken, a seltzer, and my colleague ordered just a cappuccino. The bill, including tax, tip, and credit card fee, came to $51. Ridiculous. We could have done much better (and gotten a much better meal!) at a fancier restaurant in the area. Goodbye, Murray Hill Diner! It was nice knowing you!
A solid diner, good food with fast and friendly service. I had the Lumberjack waffles on my visit. The waffles were crisp, and a nice balance for eggs and Canadian bacon. Definitely a good addition to anyone's diner rotation.
Called in for our first breakfast of our tour of America..... with the snow starting to fall we tried Murry Hill, friendly and attentive staff, booth window seating, plenty of choice on the menu.... we chose French toast with eggs and sausage....also cornbeef hash with poached eggs.... hash tasted great poached eggs were cooked to 👌..... French toast was a little over on the edges, eggs a little snotty but tasted good... hot chocolate was beautiful..... good breakfast to start the day.

A great place! There's nothing like a New York diner. The service here is excellent; they're friendly and so attentive. Food tasted great and came out quickly. A quiet spot where you can have a nice conversation without having to yell over one another. Prices were a little on the high side, but you get what you pay for and this was well worth it! Highly recommend next time you're in the area!
This is the epitome of a typical American diner. Our brunch food was great. The service could have been better. To their defense, it was a busy mid morning.
I love this diner!
I've been coming here for a few years, and I really love that they have a huge menu with so many options.
They have a bit of everything. Breakfast, sandwiches, waffles, pancakes, salads, burgers, soups, Greek and Italian dishes... My favorites are the Waffles (starting at $12), the thick chocolate shake ($9), the fresh lemonade ($5), and the pulled pork sandwich ($18).
The servers are all really nice!
First diner we went to on our first trip to New York, and was superb. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. We were made to feel very welcome. I had the 3 egg deluxe scrambled and wow!!! The breakfast potatoes were superb!! The guest place we will go on our next visit is this diner!!
This was probably our best breakfast in New York City. All food was very good surf, quick and friendly, but not too friendly. We had Gyro wrap with chicken was great, not to oily, great size, also with great crispy french fries. Eggs Florentine on spinach with cheese (feta like ?) was very tasty. Also had waffles with maple syrop and bacon. Myself Murray omelette which had lots of meat.
Very good value for money and (!!!) they don’t add up service automatically, which is how it should be. Way to go!
Excellent corner diner. Clean and bright. We were seated immediately; our choice of tables. Service was quick and professional and attentive. Coffee was hot and fresh. Grilled cheese & egg salad sandwiches were delicious; actually the best grilled cheese I have yet to have. Coffee cup remained full, no matter how much I drank. View of Madison Avenue from our table was really nice. And I liked that the owner (or manager) was happy to allow people off the street to use the bathrooms. Which were the sole downside; the bathrooms are not accessible. Two steps up and tiny. Otherwise, a perfect diner experience.
