I had been dying to check this place out but they seemed to never have a resy available. Thank goodness for my friend who’s a regular there and was able to hook it up.

I can see why this place is such a hit. The energy is fun, the food is amazing and the service is so seamless and friendly. My friend took the lead on ordering but I remember the KFC (Korean fried chicken), the corn and cream croquettes, and the garlic chicken bbq bapsang were all amazing. O also ordered the lychee cocktail because why not?

The best part? For all that food it cost less than $50 bucks a person. 10/10 would definitely go back.

Very popular and busy place in Ktown, but my friend and I were able to get in fairly quickly without a reservation. The bossam, kimchi jeon, and the vegetable and tofu hot pot were all delicious and an excellent combo. We also tried the lychee cocktail which tasted amazing and is perfect for people like me who dislike the taste of alcohol.

The only weak point was the banchan, especially the kimchi. I don’t know if it usually tastes this way, but the kimchi was super salty and difficult to eat unless you diluted it in soup.

Otherwise, great food and amazing service. Shoutout to our server who was very kind and accommodating. I would love to come back and try their other specials!
This is for two different visits lunch and brunch. Service was excellent they were friendly and took the allergies serious. For lunch I was able to get a seat during the week I was there 5 mins before opening and the tables filled up fast so I recommend a reservation or getting there right at opening for brunch we had a reservation and it still filled up fast. The lunch was absolutely delicious the bossam is the best ive had super tender the right amount of fat to mest ratio, the sides are fresh and filling and rhe budae was flavorful and filling. For the brunch the food was also fresh delicious and filling the risotto is creamy and umami the bulgogi was juicy tender and flavorful the coffee fish fritters also a fav huge pieces that are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside with a yummy starter sauce, the croquet was creamy and delicious. For brunch they have a lovely peach matcha thats only available for brunch its a must get then the lychee cocktail is pretty and tasty and the hallabong spritz is fruity and lovely. We got both desserts and they were also worth it the tiramisu was creamy and the raspberry wine in it 😋 great combo, the ice cream was not overly sweet and the matcha crumbs along with the dried fruit added nice texture. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant its worth all the hype and I look forward to returning for dinner.
Someone recommended me this place, so I decided to try it on my bday. It didn’t disappoint! Great service and very good meals! The black seed tofu is the best tofu I’ve ever had! Place is popular, so a reservation is highly recommended! Highly recommended!
The food here is actually worth a visit, everything is shareable, though the portions are a too big for two people if you're trying to eat multiple things.

The restaurant has a great vibe and solid music, but the service really let us down. Even with a reservation on a cold, rainy NYC day, we were forced to wait outside because our table wasn't ready. Once seated, the whole experience felt incredibly rushed; they basically had us out the door in under 35 minutes.
The food: 9.5/10
Staff: 10/10
Decor: 10/10
Price: $$ so cheap compared to the Bay
Overall: 9.7/10 ⭐️

Great spot for a table of 4. They do have larger tables, but expect a 15–20 mins wait during busy hours. Recommend for calling a reservation.

What we ordered:
1. Hana Makgeolli – Hands down the best rice wine I’ve ever had 😭 So smooth and flavorful, everyone at the table couldn’t stop talking about it.
2. Kimchi Pancake – 10/10. Loved the cheesy, crispy texture.
3. Shrimp & Pepper Pancake – 8/10. Pretty good, but similar to what you’d find at other spots.
4. Seafood Tofu Hot Pot (spicy 🌶️) – 100/10. The soup is so so so good 😭, make sure to eat while it’s still hot.
5. BBQ Meat + Chicken 🔥 too, but I cant eat meat so no comment.

Big Bonus Bonus Bonus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Even during peak hours, they helped us switch to a bigger table.

Thank you so much for welcoming us with delicious dishes and experiences on 1st day in NY
Came with a friend after a candlelight concert nearby. It was late so I worried about getting fat 😬😂 glad he chose a place that was light and easy to eat. I almost never don't eat past 8PM... even 6PM.. Ordered 4 dishes and a dessert to end. The portions are not big btw. It was just right. Definitely not heavy. Nothing fattening 😌 Unique way of representing Korean food. Loved the black sesame tofu most. It was full of new flavor. The others I was more familiar with. I generally eat Korean food mostly at home since my mom is very good at cooking. I still enjoyed this place very much. I did not regret eating it at that late hour after finishing everything. Including the tiramisu lol. The tiramisu was special~ injeolmi powderrrrrr my fav~ I normally have instant regrets after eating something like McDonalds or something fried most of the time 😂 It is a nice place for a date 🙂 glad I came.
I have eaten here several times for both lunch and brunch. They offer a wonderful set lunch menu during the week and a great brunch menu on the weekends. The set comes with a variety of small dishes, all of which are always fresh and delicious.
The price is very reasonable considering the high-quality ingredients they use. The service is consistently excellent, and the food usually arrives quite quickly after ordering. The staff are always kind and accommodating.
I would strongly recommend Her Name Is Han if you’re looking for a Korean meal. It’s a great spot for a business lunch or for a casual outing with friends.
I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while! It was perfectly cozy for a freezing night in January. I appreciate the clear intent to create a safe space for authentic and homey Korean food.

I’m not the biggest fan of cod but it was still juicy and flakey. My friend who actually likes fish enjoyed it a lot. The Jeju mocktail was sweet, just a little bitter - like how real alcohol tastes.

Their winter special galbi jjim was tender and flavorful. I was straight up drinking the broth. I would’ve liked more tteok since this dish was like $40, but it was worth it. The carrots and lotus were tender as well. The dish was so rich and savory that it ended up being plenty for 2 people to share.
This K-town classic for Korean food is a super popular spot for both their brunch and dinner. The inside is cozy and I highly recommend a reservation as it gets super busy. Service is quick and very polite.

I came for their dinner service and tried their kimchi pancake with a poached egg, fried cod, and bibimbap. Everything was delicious, including their banchan. The favorite of the night was their fried cod as the fish was fried so delicately and didn't feel oily at all. And, their maesaengi sauce for the fish paired so well and was like nothing I've had before. I wish I was hungrier when I went to be able to try more of their dishes. Will definitely have to come back to try their brunch sets!
it’s always a pleasure to eat during their lunch menu! we got bossam, fried croquettes, and matcha drink for appetizers, and the bulgogi hotpot and stone bibimbap for entrees, and the tiramisu for dessert. everything was delicious and the service was great!!
Had a great meal at Her Name Is Han. The food was tasty and very comforting, and everything we ordered was thoughtfully done.

We started with drinks the Jeju Hallabong was light and refreshing with a nice citrus kick, and the Mint Garden soju cocktail was clean and easy to drink, with subtle mint and green tea notes.

For food, the Black Sesame Tofu was simple but really well balanced, with a nutty dressing and crunchy fried onion on top. The Crispy Kimchi Pancake was a standout crispy on the outside, savory from the cheese, and the poached egg tied everything together nicely.

The mains were solid across the board. The Slow Cooked Pork Belly was tender and flavorful, paired with kimchi, radish pickles, and jalapeño soybean paste for contrast. The Garlic Grilled Chicken was juicy and nicely charred, with a strong garlic flavor and a crunchy peanut crumb. The Galbi was also excellent, well marinated, nicely grilled, and not overly sweet.

Dessert was a nice surprise: Sool Sool, the Korean spirit ice cream with jocheong-glazed brown rice crunch and Korean pear was light and not too sweet, and the coconut foam with mugwort gave it a clean, herbal finish.

Overall, the food, atmosphere, and pacing made for a really enjoyable meal. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.
This place has been on my list to visit for so long because it’s so hard to get a table here and now that I’ve tried I, I can say worth the wait. The prices are actually very reasonable for the portion size; the lunch is at least. The grilled mackerel is pretty basic but it’s done well. The pork is so yummy it had a great charcoal flavor. One of the best I’ve had. The portion size for the pork was also so large. The sides change daily I believe but overall pretty yum banchan. The soup was a very flavorful and clean. The bossam was honestly top teir. The pork was perfectly juicy and had a good fatty ratio. Their kimchi is like a white sesame type kimchi soooo good I wanna buy a jar. It ended up being $34.50 per person which is not bad for the area.
This is the only Korean restaurant I took my mom to when she visited NYC from Korea because I knew it would deliver truly authentic Korean flavors with beautifully presented, modern dishes. I came back yesterday to celebrate my birthday and to try the new seasonal dessert menu. The food was outstanding as always. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing Korean spot! The flavors were out of this world — every dish was packed with depth and spice, just like it should be. Hands down the BEST tofu I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and addictive. The staff was super friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Everything we ordered was top-notch. If you love Korean food (or even if you’re new to it), this place is a must. 10/10!
