This is the dream: rich and flavorful ice cream in ice-cold bowls (thrones or pedestals, really), topped with ultra-thick whipped cream, cherries, and perhaps some fudge. This is what life is all about.

The lady who attended us was very nice and made sure that she got our orders correct. The ice cream was delicious as always and had a great experience with my family

Eddie's Sweet Shop, It’s tradition… held in place with absolute discipline. This isn’t just an ice cream shop—it’s memory, preserved without ANY compromise. The moment you step inside, time doesn’t move forward… it settles. The space is untouched in the best way—wood, mirrors, details beyond details. Nothing feels updated because nothing needs to be. The process, the rhythm, the identity—it’s all intact. The ice cream follows that same philosophy. Rich, deliberate, and honest. No shortcuts, no excess—just craft repeated with consistency over generations. The smell alone. It reaches you before the experience does. It’s immediate, familiar—sweet cream, warm waffle cones, and slow-churned vanilla rising softly in the air among the other flavors.

Warm, nostalgic, and deeply authentic. 🍊

Absolutely Adore Eddie's Sweet Shop.

As a small business owner I don’t like leaving bad reviews but let’s just say I won’t be going back there. Please change the dish your serving Banana Splits on, it’s not holding up the sides and it wasn’t enjoyable to eat from it.

I loved this old school place, it’s very lovely all the decore and the ice cream was amazing! Whipped cream was not that sweet giving a perfect balance to the desert! Loved so much thanks and keep it up!!

This is a "died and gone to heaven" kind of place. It's ice cream, hot chocolate, shakes, candy, etc. only. No food. And, sweet baby Jesus, it's all delicious. There is literally nothing that you can order that isn't magnificent. They take their time to make it correctly so don't go in thinking you're going to get it to go in two minutes and still make your movie start time down the block. Sit down and relax because, baby, this is something special.

Had our son’s first birthday party here. Exceptional experience. Couldn’t be happier with the party. This place goes above and beyond to make your day easy, stress free, and so much fun. Also, the shop itself is beautiful and old world. Like stepping back in time for a little sweet treat. A must visit in Queens!

Eddie’s shop is incredibly cozy and full of character, with a truly old-school charm that makes it feel special the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, like a classic neighborhood spot that’s been loved for years. The waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which adds so much to the overall experience. And of course, the ice cream is fantastic—rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re on a date, visiting with your kids, or just stopping by because you’re craving great ice cream, Eddie’s shop is the kind of place that makes every visit feel special and keeps you coming back.

Eddie’s Sweet Shop is one of those rare gems that reminds you why tradition matters. Walking in feels like stepping back in time—the marble counter, the old-fashioned wooden booths, and the clinking of sundae glasses all set the stage for a true classic ice cream parlor experience.

The ice cream is homemade and you can taste the difference right away—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Their hot fudge sundae is legendary, and the whipped cream (yes, they make that fresh too) is worth the trip alone. You can’t go wrong with their banana splits, milkshakes, or even something as simple as a scoop of vanilla—it’s all done the way it should be.

On top of the desserts, the service is friendly and patient, which matters when you’re staring down a menu full of tempting choices. They take the time to make each sundae carefully, and you can feel the pride in what they do.

Places like Eddie’s are hard to come by nowadays—it’s not just about ice cream, it’s about preserving a piece of history and community. If you’re in Queens, it’s an absolute must-visit. Bring the kids, bring your parents, or just bring yourself. Either way, you’ll walk out smiling

NEEDS wheelchair accessibility/ADA Compliance.

Eddie's has great ice cream and is a beloved community staple. However, the store lacks wheelchair accessibility and ADA compliance. Yesterday, I witnessed a group struggling to get a wheelchair into the shop, even having to use cardboard boxes to create a makeshift ramp because the entrance was not accessible. Additionally, neither of the double doors fully open, making it a tight squeeze. This is not only a quick fix but also a legal requirement. When I spoke with a staff member, they said they were working on it. I hope these issues are addressed soon, as it's unfair for wheelchair users and people with disabilities to be unable to enter or have to struggle to find a way in.

I enjoyed coming to Eddie’s for dessert. I loved the orange freeze and the ice cream sundae was great. Eddie’s is a vintage ice cream parlor and served up tasty sweets. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area and need to cool down or are looking for something sweet.

Overall the the home made ice cream was delicious, not very
sweet(sugary). we ordered the ice cream sundae with vanilla fudge and chocolate ice cream, a cone with one scope of regular chocolate ice cream and a cherry vanilla milkshake.
