We didn’t know what a gem we stumbled in until we were seated in the back lounge area. My favorite bar in NYC!

Is this the same Art Bar from back in the early 1990s. It sure looks like it but I played pool there so many times in the back room. My best friend was a shark and we won money playing there a lot up against the big guys. Also, I found a gold band behind the juke box next to the bar 🧐 Best place ever and from the reviews I’ll have to stop in. I thought the original was on A and 10th. But could have been in between! Any way great to see that you’re still here!!

This place has a special place in my heart. Ive been a frequent visitor ever since 2013. Back then Alexis was a bartender there, now she manages the place. And she, hands down, gets at least half the credit of the charm and welcoming cozy atmosphere that lures me in every time. It's a bar, simple, yet quarky, love the backroom with couches and paintings constantly being rotated. Except for one - the last supper with the iconic ppl - the trademark of the place. 😁

Super super cozy inside w cool vibes. Very much gives girl night vibes and lowkey felt like a gay bar but not actually. Drinks were decently priced ($12 for an martini) and the seating and music was perfect

One of my jobs frequent after work spots. We all love to come by and enjoy some drinks there. Aside from it being the best after work spots. We absolutely enjoy the staff. From the servers to the bartenders. One of the most notable ones that I get to see during my usual visits in the weekends is Saraphina. She is lovely and professional at the same time. The usuals love to see her behind the bar for her friendly and hospitable approach. Thanks for having the CW staff all the time!

ArtBar in NYC is a fantastic find for a Saturday night, perfectly balancing a relaxed vibe with a touch of rustic charm. The back den is the real highlight, featuring comfortable couches and just enough lighting to create a truly cozy atmosphere for hanging out. I really appreciated the music and the crowd, which felt notably young, well-mannered, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that feels both grounded and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a group of friends to unwind. If you’re looking for a spot that is charming without being over-the-top, this is definitely it. I’ll certainly be keeping this one on my list for future NYC outings.

I’m sharing this experience because I have now seen a review about a particular server who had assaulted a customer. Gabrielle L was extremely rude when we visited art bar last month. She kept threatening to kick us out of our booth even though my party and I were looking at the menu. She was rude, barely attended to our table, and made my party and I very uncomfortable with her poor attitude. After seeing yet another review about this server I am deeply disappointed at their management for their lack of concern regarding this issue.

I’ve been coming in here for a few years now and it’s never failed. Great food. Great service. It’s one of my fave hangout spots and I will always return so long as it’s open. I love every waiter and bartender. They’re always sweet and cordial and friendly. Special shout out to my guy Amir— it’s been a few years now and he’s always friendly and nice and he better never leave. He’s literally the best. 😁

This place has it all, atmosphere ✅, great food ✅, great drinks ✅ and all at reasonable prices! But what really makes it is the staff. Our bartender Gracie was so kind, warm, and genuine! Made us feel like old friends instead of just customers. Makes a great martini too! If you’re ever in the west village, you definitely need to stop in at the Art Bar.

I just had the worst experience at Art Bar. We came for happy hour. At one point, I ordered food and immediately after the bartender Gracie came to us saying her shift was ending and asked whether we could close out. Sure, no problem! She presented me the bill with the final value which looked high to me. When I questioned her, she said it was already paid (I hadn’t signed yet so unexpected) and when I asked her to see the itemized bill, I noticed it was wrong and there were items that didn’t belong in my bill. She said she had to refund the bill, which fine and fixed it and I got my receipt. Apparently she complained I was rude to her over asking to see my bill… Eventually my food arrived and the second I was done with the food (seriously had just eaten the last bite), another waiter Jennifer came saying we needed to leave the table. I asked her why, since there were many seats available. She seemed flustered, and just emphasized we needed to leave without giving any reason. I said she was rude, the bar was empty, there was no line. We had literally just finished eating and paid a decent bill. I just wanted water, which I had asked her before without getting any. Then a third waiter Leah came to tell us that we we needed to leave. Again, we had literally just taken the last bite of food, paid our bill, and we were wrapping up - I just wanted to drink the water that had finally arrived. We did not need a third waiter telling us to leave immediately when the bar was completely empty. She said I had been rude to her waiters…. who I had said were rude to me. So complaining gets you kicked out I guess! Anyway, we were threatened with calling the police, if we didn’t leave. We were two people in a booth eating, so that paints the picture of how not wild our table was. I asked to speak with a manager, there wasn’t any. The lack of training of the staff was appalling and for a bar that was completely empty on a Monday night, I’d have expected them to treat their customers better. I used to love this place, shame it’s changed. I won’t be coming back.

I've come here twice now and it's a pretty reliable spot for a night out in the West village! The inside of this bar is a bit small but there are plenty of booths for you to sit with friends, and the service here is quick and friendly.

I've gotten both their drinks and food and both were pretty decent. The drinks were on the stronger side, and they have a good variety of cocktails and good drink deals. Their food was also solid and enjoyable with friends. Great spot if you're looking for something open late on a weekday!

Hands down, this is my go-to bar in the city. The happy hour specials are solid, but I usually skip straight to their martinis since that’s where they truly shine. The peanut butter espresso martini is next-level and worth coming back for on its own. Add a plate of crispy curly fries and you’re set for a perfect night. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which makes the experience even better. It’s a popular spot, especially with groups, so planning ahead is smart, definitely book a reservation if you’re coming with a crowd. This place never disappoints and always delivers great vibes, great drinks, and great service.

Been going to Art Bar for years and I can say it's truly a great place! The food is honestly so good especially the sliders! I also love their holiday jello shots like the Pumpkin pie jello shot or their Cookie Rainbow Shot!! The staff is great and are so friendly! Will always come back to Art Bar!

This was my very first time ever knowing about this bar I decided to randomly search up stuff in my area for a little get together with my friends after work and I was utterly impressed. It is super cute dark and that art is amazing.
The food was great. The drinks were excellent, and the service was perfection. Definitely going to be coming back here again.
