Amazing food. Fitz and his cousin run an incredibly authentic and delicious Ethiopian restaurant with wonderful music and service. The injera is 100% teff so gluten free and also 100% delicious! Highly recommend

What a lovely new gem in the neighborhood. Zoma is small but that’s exactly what makes it extra cozy. Vegan combo platter was phenomenal and filled with flavor! Service is friendly and quick without rushing you out at the end of a meal (very important). They knew exactly when to bring us more injera without us having to ask for it. Absolutely coming back!

Excellent. So happy to find Zoma opened a few blocks from me. I used to walk to it in Harlem. I had given up Ethiopian food because none of the restaurants nearby is good. Had an excellent meal. Owner and the chef are really nice. Space is small and nice; hope I can still get in once everyone discovers it. Definitely worth the walk to Columbus if you are Broadway/Amsterdam centric.

I found a gem in my neighborhood! I really love the vegetarian platter and fish I had. My 9 year old was excited to try Ethiopian and we both found the dishes so satisfying and delicious!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zoma Express! The food was incredibly flavorful—each dish was rich, aromatic, and beautifully prepared. But what made the visit truly special was the hospitality. The host welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we felt like honored guests in someone’s home. They took time to explain the dishes, offer recommendations, and make sure we were comfortable throughout the meal.
If you're looking for the best Ethiopian cuisine in the city, Zoma is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Delicious take out!strongly recommend the owners put themselves on yelp & Apple Maps as it was a little difficult to find the location but I’m so glad I did! The vegan combo was enough for two people and we were very impressed. Definitely coming back!

As an Ethiopian and someone who have tried Ethiopian food all over the city, I will say that the Ethiopian food in this restaurant is the best. The injera is high quality and doesn’t bloat you.
Dear restaurant owner: if you manage to continue to deliver this quality for a long time, you’re destined for success. Please make us proud. Because obviously there are no other good Ethiopian restaurants in NYC.
Response from the owner
Thank you very much for your review. Yes, our injera is 100% teff and gluten free.

Super good! I didn’t go to this restaurant before it temporarily closed during covid, but apparently they were on the Michelin Guide.

Really cute and intimate space, classy spot. Service was great, the restaurant staff were really nice and attentive.

The food was amazing and also really well priced! Highly recommend the kitfo (tartare) and shiro. More than enough injera as they brought out more as we ate.

Thank you!

Really fresh and flavorful Ethiopian food! I remember the old Zoma location that closed during COVID so I was glad to see they reopened. We got the Zoma Tibs and Kitfo as well as lots of vegetarian sides. It was perfect for us as a group and the sambusas were freshly made!
Response from the owner
Thanks!
