I went in there to drop off something for Amazon which is on the second floor. But that place is pretty, I love how fresh products are stocked and it's very fresh; I purchased one pack of banana , and it was good. Thanks.

Seems off that an Amazon-owned company can’t run a store with affordable food. It was 100% better before they bought the company. Everything in this store is 25-40% higher than the rest of the country. I’d rather shop at key food, union market or wegmans. Better selection in many of these a d better prices

This Wholefoods should mention when greeting in customers, that they provide exceptional service to white people only. If you read all the 5 star ratings for this specific location, you'll notice those reviews have been written by caucasians. Don't dare walk in here and be brown or black because you will be racially profiled and followed around the store by the army of security guards (who are also men of color) despite buying items and have never stolen from the store before. They will watch your every move, including when you're heading upstairs with your food that you bought from the store to eat at the cafe. WholeFoods, do better. Because you're actually affecting your business by excluding people and preventing them from feeling welcomed and safe as they shop for their groceries. Catering to only a selected group based on their class, or race doesn't bring you more customers. It just puts your business in jeopardy of losing sales.

Whole Foods avoids restocking the water in the morning so they don't have to do it more than once a day. I assume this is because Amazon deliveries take priority and they receive many orders before 10 a.m., which may include water, but that's not a good excuse. I don't know if it's due to employee laziness or if Whole Foods is cutting corners and not ordering enough water for everyone. In any case, there's no excuse for being stingy if it negatively impacts our shopping experience; and it did mine. I had to go back to the store to see if they had restocked the water, and luckily I found some gallons after 12 p.m. Is this their way of forcing people to shop online? I don't know, but they should reconsider their strategy. This isn't the neighborhood where they can afford to be stingy if they want their business to thrive. Today it's water, tomorrow it will be bread and meat. Review your procedures or supervise your employees, who have a reputation for being lazy. On my first visit, when I asked an employee about the water, he had no idea if they were going to restock it and claimed not to have seen any in the back. 1 star.

Retail Whole Foods where I return my Amazon packages.
Never shopped here as the prices are higher than most supermarkets and local shops.

Couldn’t spend 5 mins in this store before being followed. Once I complained one of the security guards/employees began to give his unsolicited input and the verbally assaulted me, saying “I need a man to calm me down” . This is the type of employees this store hires for customer service positions. He worried about me when he should be worried about working to afford a haircut.

Response from the owner

I stopped into Whole Foods looking for something healthy to eat they have such a wide selection of fresh and healthy options. At first, I was leaning toward a salad, but then I saw the pizza and decided to give it a try since I love pizza, and honestly in New York you can’t really go wrong with it.

I grabbed a slice and it was pretty good cheesy, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s not your typical greasy slice; it had a fresher taste, and I liked the balance of toppings. Definitely a decent option when you’re hungry and want something quick.

What’s also nice is that Whole Foods has seating upstairs, so you can enjoy your food right there after shopping. Overall, I’d recommend trying their pizza. You can buy it by the slice or get a whole pie, and for a grocery store, it’s surprisingly solid.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your detailed review. We’re glad you enjoyed our pizza, appreciated the fresh and healthy options, and found the upstairs seating convenient. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit soon!

I shop here for the vegan and organic options that are hard to find elsewhere. This is my neighborhood Whole Foods and it’s really disappointing to see how little they care about keeping the water fountains and bathrooms maintained and usable. Especially with the need for water this time of year. They just got a new fountain with a water bottle filler, but within the first couple days the filter status had a red light. They fixed that after about a week. But now, for several weeks, the water bottle filler has only been working very very slowly. It takes about 5-10x longer to fill a bottle than normal depending on the size, and I always feel rude because there’s always someone behind me waiting to fill theirs. Oh and the amount of bottles it says has been saved is going up normally so it thinks it’s dispensing more water than it is. The last time I used it it never stopped when I took the bottle away.
The part where you sip from stopped working at all a couple weeks ago. The water coming out has no pressure so it just goes down.

Response from the owner

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Branson. We're sorry to hear about your experience and we would like to look into this issue further. Please feel free to contact us directly at wfm.com/help with any additional details.

Great Whole Foods and they carry my favourite beer, Small Beer on their shelves! Steven, Iman and the beer team are both helpful and knowledgeable! You’re in good hands.

Whole Foods is a well-organized grocery store offering a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, groceries, and household items. The store is easy to navigate, and the staff is always helpful. I particularly enjoyed their prepared food section, which offers delicious and wholesome options that feel like home-cooked meals. While prices may be slightly higher than other grocery stores, I believe the quality of the products justifies the cost.

Response from the owner

Thank you for the 5-star review! We appreciate your patronage and hope to see you again real soon.

Went to this whole food's as I am a local to pick up some watermelons. Whole foods were adverting it in front of the entrance. I went inside and couldn't find 1 employee. I thought I was in walmart, not Whole Foods! I had to go hunt down an employee through the entire store. I found one. He didn't even help at all. He just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know if they have any," and walked away. Didn't call anyone! Then I went t to customer service same thing. No one cared to look or call to see if they had any in the back. Terrible store & customer service! I found the workers to be extremely lazy. I should have asked for a manager, but I have already wasted so much time. Management needs to really get it together with this store! They're understaffed, and no one is around to help on a Thursday evening? I will post a photo of the advertisement below. I will continue to shop at Trader Joe's, Thrive market & other grocery shops. Whole Foods customer service and quality foods both have gone downhill!

Btw, why is Whole Foods only selling seedless? What is that about!

VEGAN FOOD

Very unusual for me to rate grocery store food BUT! Whole Foods made it possible.

Aside of the varies Vegan options like bakery products, such as brownies, muffins, cakes and donuts; they also serve 1 vegan pizza option. Have a look in the fresh Pizza section where they can warm it up for you. (near the cash register on the second floor) the pizza was surprisingly good!
By the way! The vegan blueberry muffins were also great!

Why 4 stars and not 5? Because I wish Whole Foods would have a singled out area within the store for only plantbased products gathered together. (Vegan Cold cuts, vegan cheese, and so on) it would make shopping as a vegan much easier and efficient.

Have a look at the pictures!

Response from the owner

Thanks for the support. Thrilled to hear that our ambience, store amenities, and product assortment cater to your needs. Do come again!

Was there many times, place is clean, well-lit and well-arranged. They have tons of flowers in it, beautiful flowers too. Great beer selection, like no where else. Good variety of non alcoholic beers

Service has been great up until checking out. Cashiers seem to be extremely frustrated not at customer but about their day in general. Been going here for years. One of the same cashiers that's been working there for some time who was always happy and friendly. Now looks like they are waiting for the day to end so they can run out of there. Everyone seems overworked and unfortunately takes it out unintentionally on customer by careless attitude, ignoring requests to separate detergent from seafood and placing squash able items at bottom of bag and then putting heavy items on top. A bit frustrating and sad to see this happen at LES store. I've actually switched to union square and Bryant Park WF's. Due to the extremely consistent poor checkout experience. I don't even dare ask for anything to be bagged separately. I let them tell me total and after if necessary go to side and rearrange delicate items that were placed beneath heavy items. Recommend other locations.

Whole Food Market is THE best supermarket ever, with good fresh ingredients. I came here today for lunch and I've explored the whole buffet. I live the fact that I can customize a salad but also eat warm dishes from many kinds. the buffet is clean and arranged nicely and the team is always working hard to keep it like that. I wish my sister could be here with me

Thank you for the great review, Yuval!
