Update: Had a medical emergency, and staff would not help me(except for one angel employee). Ended up in the hospital for a week. Not only is the customer service horrendous, but they have zero normal humanity.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is by far the worst customer service Whole Foods in the city. Which is unfortunate because it’s the easiest one to get to in Brooklyn. Looking for something? No one will help you. Trying to find out where something is or when it will be back in stock? No one will help you. You’re far better off going to third Street and third Avenue or even Williamsburg, both of which, like in the city, the employees care about their jobs at both locations and actually care about customer service.

One of the nicest and most well-stocked Whole Foods stores in Manhattan. Parking, unfortunately, is hit or miss -- no attached lot as many of the suburban locations have. Vegetables and fruits are consistently fresh with gód variety. Hot foods available from buffet and behind the counter. Small but adequate bakery and cheese departments. If nearby and in need of provisions, a good choice.

I have been coming here for months but unfortunately the staff at this location is becoming more of an issue. I never write reviews but this was such a distasteful experience for no reason. The cashier was rude, didn’t acknowledge me, was talking to the coworker the whole time, didn’t help pack my bags despite every other cashier doing so around us. I had to pack my bags myself which is fine but usually that’s something they do. She had my groceries in a big pile all mixed with meats leaking because they were upside down. And then when I was packing my bag alongside the other cashier who was packing the customers bag, she proceeded to help the next customer WHILE I was still there making sense of the sticky pile she left for me. She seemed to be irritated I was there purchasing groceries. Was such an oddly negative experience and I still don’t even understand what I did that made her act like I was an inconvenience for checking out at her register.

The groceries are pretty good and good quality foods and fresh but it’s more expensive than Trader Joe’s

Loved the location, and very clean & organized market.
No long lines. And I was able to drop off my Amazon return.

We live nearby and shop here all the time. It’s almost certainly the worst Whole Foods I’ve ever been to, but it’s still a Whole Foods, and they’ve made some improvements in the years we’ve been shopping here (replaced the bin-style freezers with actual freezers, added a ton of self-checkout spots so you almost never have to wait in line, especially if you’re willing to go upstairs to the self-checkout by the main entrance that hardly anyone uses).

Restocking can be hit and miss, there’s no actual meat/fish counter, and the produce selection/quality is often underwhelming. I often have better luck with produce at the much smaller Food Garden Market down 4th Ave.

Can’t really recommend it, but I’ll probably keep shopping here for the convenience.

Sadly had to come to this location since my truck is under snow and ice. Really disappointing. Very tight space, items all on top of each other. Yet couldn't find 99% of the things I needed. And hate those fairy shopping carts. Need to get regular carts. Perhaps they should turn that block back into the parking lot it was back in the day.

Super fresh and convenient. I went to the fresh food bar and selected Brussel Sprouts, Beets with Avocado, Coleslaw and Broccoli. Everything was great. Able to pack your portion. Price is based on weight so be careful with the heavy foods. Place can get packed however it goes fast.

I don’t appreciate being followed and racially profiled by security. Corporate will be hearing from me. It’s disgusting how they pretend that they’re not and would think that I would steal - especially since I’m in professional work clothes.

ETA: when I called the store to make a complaint, they put me on hold then hung up. Just a terrible location overall.

The main entrance doors have been broken and non functional for days and the alternate entrance only has one functional door. Not just inconvenient but a huge FIRE HAZARD! Please repair!

I stopped shopping here due to their affiliation with Amazon but I was in a whim and needed some flowers.

Very unorganized location, staff doesn’t know what they are doing. Waited over 30 minutes to get a small bouquet of flowers wrapped because no one in the location knew where the florist was. I understand staff turnover rate is probably low but as a customer that is none of my business.

Shift leader Akli on duty on 12/2 @ 5:30pm is supposed to accommodate customers if issues arise. He was rude and disrespectful and pretty much left me hanging.

Ever since they switched to mostly self-checkout, and got rid of a large number of employees, the aisles have been barren. This was rarely an issue before, but now it's almost every week I shop there. I'm seriously looking for alternatives because they simply don't do a good job of keeping the shelves stocked. I'm also not a fan of supporting this kind of greed. I'm sure they were making plenty of profit, but naturally they wanted to maximize it by cutting dozens of jobs.

In any case, you're basically rolling the dice every time you shop there because there at times everything is freshly stocked, and other times the shelves are empty and the most popular products are gone.

It's a good shopping experience. It's the place to be if you're looking for healthy food. The prices are on the high end. When you walk in the supermarket is downstairs. You have to take the escalators down and you'll walk straight into the fruits and vegetables section. The checkout is quick now there's a self checkout. It's kinda small for a whole foods inside of the residential building 300 Ashland Place. Has everything all the other Whole Foods have. A small hot food section with pizza and soup. Frozen foods and refrigerators a lot and accepts online order pickups and an Amazon Prime order returns and a vegan hamburger right next to the sliding doors at the Flatbush Avenue entrance. Located down the block from Barclays Center and Apple Store, Also across from BAM. A new Mocada museum new location and BPL library branch opening soon upstairs in the building in beautiful Fort Greene Brooklyn with plenty of public transportation buses and Subway lines

Response from the owner

Thank you for the glowing review.

Super environment, friendly staff and pleasant to shop in such a beautiful store.
Huge store with fresh delicious fruits and vegetables, kosher products, a whole big store when you go in the back (,not the best of a layout) but a great register lines system with 20 cashiers.

Response from the owner

Thank you for the 5-star review! We appreciate your patronage and hope to see you again soon.

Usually I think wholefood is more expensive than trader Joe's from cheese to can food and almost everything. This 365 version is doing pretty well to compete.

First of all, I was here around 6:30pm the prime time for groceries shopping. The place isnt as pack as trader Joe's with line at max 5 minutes long. This is a total positive. Beside having shorter line, I was amazed by the size of this place.

Let's start with upstairs. There are many dining around with draft beer and some food area which I didn't get a chance to take a look. Heading downstairs, wholefood starts wit flower offer. Example will be $25 for dozen rose or $20 with prime membership a day before Valentine's. That is a good start. This place is huge. Everything you needed from fresh fruit veggies to frozen area. I think of this as trader Joe's 2.0 with a modern look.

Price is amazing. This 365 version is not only for the one percent. I vote this deserve a visit if you are tired of waiting on line.
