White Oak Tavern

It’s a nice bar with cool dividers every few seats. Perfect for those interested in drinking & chilling without need to talk to strangers.<br><br>Bar fills out fast after 6 pm even on Wed. I came at 4 pm & most of good bar seats gone. Normally, anytime before 5 pm, I’ll get good seat at any bar but this one is right next to NYU so all those students with laptops occupied all good seats throughout afternoon & evening.<br><br>Food is typical bar food so don’t expect much but very nice they have happy hour for a few beers.<br><br>I like vibe here, very rustic with nice taverny dark lighting so will come back. And service not too terrible.<br><br>Wings are interesting cuz they are not dry or too overcooked which is uncommon at bars. Not sure how they cook them because they’re kinda moist & not crunchy.<br><br>Burger will fill you up & not the worst, very passable.<br><br>Really doesn’t matter what time to come since it’s close to university but very busy at prime dinner hours of 7 & 8 pm.

I stopped in here for beer and a quick snack. Pretty good beer selection, and the crisped, balsamic brussel sprouts were out of this world! The pub atmosphere was also very cozy and the service was great.

Good drinks, we sat at the bar and had a nice time talking with the bartender. Food was good, we were kinda bummed because we wanted the deviled eggs from the lunch menu, but it was a weekend so it was brunch. But that’s on us and the crabcake benedict was nice. Also you should make a reservation there were long waits

Came here for brunch on Valentine’s Day and had great service, food, and bottomless mimosas! They kept our glasses full and even gave us a round to-go :)<br><br>Highly recommend!

I’ve had the best time celebrating my birthday in White Oak Tavern recently! The staff were REALLY nice!<br><br>We were seated at a nice countertop and our food and drinks were served quickly. I’ve invited about 10-12 of my friends, we all ordered food and drinks -which by the way were really good- and served with care. I strongly recommend the Prime Beef Burger! It wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded in there but there were 2-3 other birthday celebrations going on besides mine. Nicely lit interior, rustic but not too dive-y, comfortable seating, spacious circulation, beautiful decor, very convenient location, prices were very reasonable for a west village tavern.<br><br>We were also offered a tray of shots because it was my birthday. We shared the cake with the staff and they were very happy about it! Overall perfect birthday night and a great experience dining there!

Randomly stopped in and had an amazing meal. Javier was fast and attentive with everything as I sat at the bar to eat. The drinks were delicious and it was a great experience treating myself to dinner. Will come back with friends for sure!!

We stopped in for lunch recently and had a good experience. There is plenty of seating inside and at the bar. We had a comfortable table with a partial booth. The deviled eggs and smoked fish dip were great appetizers. The B.L.T.A. and blackened chicken sandwich were excellent. They had great flavor and the portion sizes matched the price. They have a kids menu and our daughter enjoyed her burger. The burger was supposed to come with cheese but didn’t. The burger was huge and juicy, but our daughter ate only a few bites. For $16, I thought it was a bit pricey and we probably could have shared. Our service was just ok. We had a soda water and coke but never received refills. We paid with a QR code at the table, so after our food came out, the server never checked on us.

Absolutely amazing oh my god— it’s so beautiful in here, more than you can imagine. Food is awesome, cocktails are AMAZING. Super friendly bartender and staff!!

We went to The White Oak Tavern yesterday for dinner for the first time with my friends. We were greeted by a very friendly and handsome guy on a suit who we learned after he sat us that he was the Manager. He was super nice and was able to accommodate us even though the place was very busy and we didn’t had a reservation. His friendliness and attentiveness was a pleasant surprise since you don’t see that anymore these days. Cristian our server was also very nice and friendly.<br>We had the Chicken pot pie that was recommended by Bruno and it was amazing !! My friends had the burger, we also tried the salmon and the kale salad and everything was super yummy. We finish our night with hot chocolates and a toffee pudding with ice cream and we loved it !!<br>Thank you Bruno and for accommodating us and making our night so memorable and thank you Crirstian for your friendly and quick service.<br>We will definitely be back<br>Oh, and the Christmas tree and decoration in this place are beautiful. A must check out place.

This place was amazing. The decorations for Christmas were very cozy and cute. They also have bar trivia every Wednesday night that is fun to participate in both the staff and the food were amazing. Highly recommend the Baratta

Nice place for a bite before a show. Very busy, even before 6pm. Very noisy and happy, with busy staff running all over the place. We were seated precisely at our reserved time. Table and seating was comfortable, and the service was fine. Our hamburgers were just as delicious as advertised. My Old Fashioned had no cherry and the wrong ice, but was served in a nice glass and was delicious (it had better be delicious for $20!). Bathrooms downstairs with one on the main level. ♿️

Absolutely Outstanding! From the moment we walked in last night, Kerry made us feel incredibly welcome. His personality and genuinely friendly demeanor set the tone for the entire experience. He greeted us with a big smile, engaged us in light conversation and went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of. It's clear he takes great pride in his role and his positive energy truly made a lasting impression. A shout out to Amanda, our server, who was friendly, attentive, simply exceptional! She struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and checked in on us just at the right moments. Thank you both for an awesome evening! The food was next-level delicious — the baby back ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The fried pickles? Crispy on the outside, juicy inside — absolutely addictive! The accompanying sauce was equally delicious! Our burgers were cooked perfectly and bursting with taste…and the dessert… wow! I believe it was the sticky toffee pudding — rich, warm, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own shoutout: the jalapeño margarita had just the right kick, and the bourbon-ginger cocktail was one of the best we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd want from a tavern — cozy, inviting, and full of character. Can’t wait to go back over and over again!

The food was excellent, and the drinks strong. We ordered the bottomless brunch and they gave us all three types of mimosas to taste and then kept it coming! Raspberry Mint flavor was my favorite followed by the Blood orange.<br>The vibe is amazing and the waitstaff was very friendly. I loved the service and ambience very much. I’ll definitely be back!

If you're looking for an intimate, affordable wedding venue, I highly recommend The White Oak Tavern. My son and his bride had their first date there, and a year later, when they decided to get married, they wondered if the restaurant would host their small ceremony. To our delight, The White Oak Tavern said yes!<br>With only eight people in attendance—bride and groom, officiant and her husband, parents of the groom, and mother and sister of the bride—the ceremony was held on a charming little stage at the front of the restaurant. The officiant, bride, and groom stood on the stage, while the rest of us watched from the other side of the railing. It was an intimate, heartfelt occasion.<br>After the vows and the magical "You may kiss the bride" moment, we took photographs and enjoyed a delicious meal in the very spot where their first date had taken place. The food was excellent, the service outstanding, and the whole experience was incredibly affordable. For just $1000, which included a $250 charge for reserving the private space for the ceremony, it was a day to remember without breaking the bank. The White Oak Tavern made their special day perfect!
