This is a hidden gem. From the outside, you cannot tell how amazing it looks inside. Very clean and modern design and very warm welcoming vibe. We came as a party of 8 and they were able to accommodate that on the same day , on a Sunday! The restaurant was bustling and filled with tons of people, especially on their spacious patio. The appetizers were delicious!!! I have no pictures of them because we all devoured it within seconds. We had the crab wonton, the branzino roll, tom yum wings and fresh oysters. Everything was super tasty and fresh! Staff was attentive and we didn’t need to call them for anything. They were always walking by and watching the table. The entrees were a large enough portion and also very unique and fresh. I did not like my ramen, ( khao sim) I believe was the name. It was a heavy base and lacked acidity and the noodles were gummy. Every other entree was amazing. The pad Thai with the beef definitely was filling and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

Great location. Near Broadway Lirr station. They provided cold plates such as raw oyster and raw shrimp which is rare in Thai restaurants in NYC. I ordered raw oyster, raw shrimp and Tom Yum Noodles. Raw oyster is very fresh and comes with 2 sauces and dried small shrimp. I got new experience with raw oysters which is always come with cocktails sauce. And 3 of them matches the oysters. And raw shrimp is also very tasty. The Tom Sum Noodles soup is also good, but I will recommend the Tom Yum Noodles soups in Niyom Thai Restaurant in Francis Lewis Blvd as the the combination of spice is better. However, the services is not satisfactory. Servers rarely pass by my table but they charges at least 20% services charges. The worst experience today is that when I paid and about to leave the restaurant, the lady in the front desk ask me to come back as I didn’t pay. I told her twice that I already paid and she did not give me an apology. Really not worth for 20% services charges. I will 100% not come back for dine-in as I still feel angry with the lady attitude and the high percentage of services charges. A very disappointed dine-in experience even with good food.
First visit after many friends suggested and it lived up to all the hype. W.I.B is a great addition to the area.

We were warmly greeted by the host for lunch, from there it was all superb. The entire drink list, food, service and cleanliness of this restaurant must be commended. In short, absolutely worth the trip.

No doubt we will be back for dinner service soon.
If you’re looking for a Thai spot with amazing food, fast service, and a beautiful atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go. From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and smooth. The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside, very aesthetic and comfortable, perfect for a date night or even just a relaxing dinner out.

The food was honestly incredible. Every dish came out quickly, tasted fresh, and was super flavorful and satisfying. The portions were generous too, so you definitely leave full and happy. On top of that, the staff was attentive the entire time and made everything feel effortless — we didn’t even have to wait long for the check at the end.

Overall, one of the best Thai restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food and a great vibe all in one spot.
A decent Thai spot overall, but it felt a bit overrated given the hype. The food was good, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve tried. Considering how many excellent and more authentic options there are in the Queens area, this one didn’t fully live up to expectations.
I was drawn to this place because they’re owned by the same owners of Malii (was a fan of their first branch in UES 2nd Ave then they added Gramercy). I’ve tried both takeout and dine out by now. The dine in experience last week was far better than the takeout experience a couple of weeks back. Food tasted better and tasted consistent to the same food I’ve tried at Malii.
For dine in last week, we tried their Mango based rum drink each and luckily made it to their Happy Hour time so was charged $8 less, a good deal. We got their Zaab Zaab wings which were good and ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Panang Curry in Beef. Crab Fried rice was pretty yum with actual chunks of crab meat while the Panang Curry tasted just okay. Hope they can work on that. I also ordered Thai iced tea which was very watery and somehow tasted like medicine, they didn’t charge me for it and I appreciated the gesture. Looking forward to try them again and hoping their taste profile can be as good and consistent as Malii.
Service was warm and friendly, thanks for that! :)
It's hidden gem in Queens ❤️They are very caring us every details. We celebrate my husband birthday.
Food is yummy and staff helpful. They are arrange table with high chair at 2 floor.
I will high recommend to our family and friends to experience.
Honestly, consistently some of the best food in the area. The crab fried rice is a must try. The fish/garlic sauce they have with it is so flavorful, it's astounding. They also have a cocktail called Meet Me At Siam, that they seem to have discontinued which is unfortunate. Great strawberry smoothie cocktail! Could try asking for it, they probably would have the ingredients.
Great experience at When in Bangkok! The Zabb Wings were super flavorful and crispy. The Tom Yum soup was perfect for a cold day — warm and comforting.

The cocktails were beautiful and delicious, and the Thai tea was a must. If you love duck, don’t miss the pineapple curry duck — such a great combination of sweet and savory.

Highly recommend!
Had a great lunch at When in Bangkok on Northern Blvd in Flushing. Even past lunch hours the restaurant was still filling up — definitely a good sign.

Tried a few of their winter specials and signature dishes:
Tom Yum Ramen Hot Pot: rich, aromatic, with just the right level of spice.
Soft Shell Crab Karee: crispy soft-shell crab in a creamy curry egg sauce — comforting and delicious.
Pineapple Curry Duck: my personal favorite! The roasted duck was tender, and the red curry with pineapple and basil had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory.

For drinks, we had the Cha Manao and the Passion Fruit Mojito, both refreshing and well-made. Bonus: happy hour cocktails are only $11 before 5pm!!

Service was friendly, the vibe was great, and the food is absolutely worth coming back for — especially the pineapple curry duck. Highly recommend!
Finally found a truly authentic Thai spot in Flushing! The Soft Shell Crab Curry is absolute heaven—so creamy and the crab is perfectly crispy. We also loved the Braised Pork Leg; the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of flavor. Definitely our new go-to spot!
The food was a pleasant surprise! The fish was fresh and tender, with a refreshing kick from the lime and chili. The curry was rich and aromatic without being heavy, and the spices were well balanced. The meat dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Beautiful presentation and a cozy atmosphere — a great spot for dining with friends. Will definitely come back!❤️
recently visited When in Bangkok and had a really nice experience. The dishes were flavorful, portions were just right, and everything tasted fresh. The space feels cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great spot for Thai food — I’d definitely come back and try more dishes!
Nate was our server excellent service!
The food was immaculate, I recommend to order the crab fried rice crazy good. Literally devoured the food in like 10minutes and the food came out fast. Overall great experience, great atmosphere and great food!
The ambiance here is fantastic, the staff are very welcoming, and the restaurant is always packed. I especially love their pork basil rice and curry soft-shell crab; they're incredibly delicious with rice. I'll definitely bring my friends here again.
