⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – Westfield World Trade Center, NYC

If you’re visiting New York City and want a shopping experience that’s as impressive as the city itself, make sure to stop by the Westfield World Trade Center. Located beneath the iconic Oculus, this isn’t just a mall—it’s a destination. The architecture alone is breathtaking, with soaring white beams and an open design that makes the entire space feel modern, bright, and uniquely New York.

The variety of shops is outstanding, whether you’re looking for fashion, electronics, gifts, beauty products, or a great place to grab a bite to eat. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, making it a relaxing place to spend a few hours while exploring Lower Manhattan.

What I love most is how it blends shopping, dining, transportation, and sightseeing all in one location. You’re steps away from the World Trade Center campus, incredible city views, and some of New York’s most meaningful landmarks.

Whether you’re a tourist visiting for the first time or a local looking for a great place to shop, Westfield World Trade Center delivers a first-class experience every time. This is one of those places that reminds you why New York City is unlike anywhere else in the world. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A huge mall located in the World Trade Center, right next to Ground Zero & the 09/11 memorial monument.

It has tons of shops - from casual to designer, beauty, restaurants, cafe and much more.

If you're looking into a nice way to combine shopping while strolling around the city, this mall could definitely be a nice option!

I Love Westfield Mall & The Occulus. Yes, Bathrooms Lack Soap 🫧🧼, which is 🤢. But on April 11, 2026 Saturday at 730am, a lady with a yellow vest beeps the back of my head 🙂‍↕️ Twice On Purpose. I called her boss over. He was defensive. She was monitoring the area with a device, but the Twice means she enjoyed that I jumped and was scared. It was unexpected. She attacked and harassed me by doing it Twice. I think if you do something in need within close proximity to them, especially behind them that the person should let you know. The woman was a bully, I feel. I don't think she belongs here. Her appearance is rough too, angry, wild, very unsafe person with poor judgement. Highly Disrespectful.

A shopping mall that looks like a spaceship landed, opened its ribs, and decided to sell retail.

Sitting inside the iconic Oculus, this place is less “mall” and more architectural statement. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, it feels like I accidentally walked into a sci fi set instead of somewhere to buy socks.

The white, ribbed interior stretches upward like it’s trying to reach enlightenment, while I’m down below debating if I need another pair of shoes.

It officially opened in 2016 as part of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex, standing on ground layered with history, memory, and now… very well lit retail.

Crowds move through like a constant human current, half commuting, half shopping, all slightly distracted by the fact that the ceiling alone deserves its own Instagram account.

Beautiful, dramatic, and slightly confusing. I came here thinking “quick stop,” and somehow ended up wandering around like I was inside a very expensive art installation that also happens to accept credit cards.

It’s big airy and the stores are spread out. I wouldn’t come here to shop but if in the neighborhood I would stop in. Eataly is a big draw for lovers of Italian food. I wouldn’t buy products here and maybe a snack but the last time I had pasta here it was boring. Of the stores I think Hugo Boss stands out. This mall is of course perfect for PATH commuters.

The EATALY ON 23rd is better dining wise.

This place needs more elevators and seating. It looks amazing but i wanted to sit and eat a small snack on my way to my next train stop but had to stand and eat my sandwich and drink. But saw an amazing performance for Chinese new year, always something happening inside this beautiful structure.

I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the most stunning malls in America. It doesn’t have a million stores, but that’s part of its charm—it’s really about the atmosphere. The lighting, the open spaces, and the little details all make it feel airy, calm, and inviting. Walking around here is kind of like wandering through a beautiful indoor park—it’s relaxing and easy to enjoy. Even if you’re not shopping for much, it’s worth the visit just to take it all in. Great for families, friends, or just a solo stroll to appreciate the design. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you end up taking a few photos just to remember how nice it felt to be there.

An absolutely architectural wonder in the heart of the World Trade Center. Such a beautiful mall facing the memorial, it feels very special and surreal.
The interior is calm but very active and every shop tells its own story I think. When arriving the music in the hall of the metro is absolutely unmatched and even if you close your eyes you can see New York even better than ever.
Absolutely gorgeous. :)

Westfield World Trade Center is a very glamorous and beautifully designed place. Everything feels clean, modern, and well laid out, with no clutter or visible bins anywhere. It’s also a perfect spot to take photos. The only downside was that the restrooms were closed during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, a very elegant and impressive place to stop by.

This needs no introduction but it’s a beautiful architectural masterpiece and a must-see building when you’re in New York. It’s easily accessible by train but I’d recommend walking down Manhattan if you had time. It also has access to Battery Park via Brookfield Place which is another good place to visit.

Response from the owner

Westfield World Trade Center is absolutely massive—I don’t think I had enough time to see everything! The space is beautiful, modern, and filled with so many great shops. I enjoyed window shopping, trying on clothes, and testing out perfumes. Overall, it was such a fun experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re sightseeing in NYC.
