Veggie Heaven

If we are in Teaneck for any reason, this is our go to for lunch or dinner. The food and service are consistently good.<br><br>Our most recent visit was no different. Our waiter swooped in with a container of crayons to save me digging in my bag for our own (the placemats have pictures of veggies for kids to colour.) Tea arrived almost immediately. We ordered bbq "pork" ribs (ok), crispy garlic "chicken" (extremely delicious), and, in a departure from my usual mango "chicken", the black bean burger (also delicious.) The standout on my plate were the sweet potato... Chunks. Way too big to be wedges, let alone fries. This is not, AT ALL, a complaint! They were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and we're happily taken home as leftovers.<br><br>Veggie Heaven has fantastic, consistent, Chinese food, but now I know not to overlook the other parts of the menu.

The sauces are to die for. All food is vegan but tastes like meat. Great homemade cakes and desserts. Good service and they don't push you to leave.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! I ordered split pea soup which was fantastic and filling. I also loved the sweet potato roll and crispy tofu skin roll with brown rice. Healthy and filling. And the green tea cake for dessert was fabulous! Not too sweet, moist, and had a nice green tea flavor without being too overpowering. It did take a while for the server to give us the check though.

I love to try Vegan cafés and I have tried all 3 Veggie Heaven. This one is as good as others.<br>I order 3 things :<br>The Phoenix Ball (Sushi) - 9.5/10<br>Schezuan Dumplings - 9/10<br>Sweet and Spicy Thai - 9/10<br>Plenty of desserts but we were full so couldn’t eat any.<br><br>The ambience and staff both are really good. A cute year old couple date place and nice lighting’s and seatings.

Reminds me of the restaurants in China Town that my family used to go to when I was a kid. Extensive menu and the food is incredible. We had dim sum, 3 very creative sushi rolls, "ribs," thai basil roll, and mu-shoo "chicken" and vegetables. Unlike most places that serve mock meats, the ones here are ALL HOME MADE. This is incredible and so rare - I don't usually care for mock meats but the "ribs" were sensational based on whole plant ingredients. Having creative sushi is so hard to find (outside of NYC) so that was a real treat. Surprisingly, they have at least a dozen different cakes on the menu. We got 2 pieces: black sesame and oreo. I think it's the best vegan cake I've ever had. Would be worth making a special trip here to pick up a cake for the next occasion. Somehow they have nailed the texture. Great place, must go!!!

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. Food made with lots of love. I order from here as often as I can, and could probably eat here everyday. I dont know how they do it but Im always in awe with how delicious everything is. Several options to choose from and incredible service. Delivery is so fast it feels like real magic. And the prices are very reasonable considering the area and quality. Its rare to be able to eat such a delicious meal so guilt free. The cakes are really special and beautiful. I love eating half and saving the rest for breakfast with my coffee. Thanks veggie heaven for keeping my belly full and my mouth happy. Life just wouldn't be the same without you.

The Sushi is crazy Good! The Guacamole is so yummy! I always get the Mongolian Beef and am so pleased. You won't regret this stop as a vegan. However, I would skip dessert. For me it wasn't as successful as the other dishes.

Heaven is an amazing place! Everything was absolutely delicious and surprisingly affordable. The flavors were fresh, well-seasoned, and you can really tell they put care into every dish. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a relaxed meal. They even offer free tea, which is such a nice touch and makes the experience feel even more special. If you’re looking for great quality food at a good price, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will definitely be coming back!

Hands down best vegan cake selection in the country. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner! The black sesame cake was so delicious. And don’t get me started about the sushi 🤤 We will definitely be back!

Place is very outdated and I remember the food tasting better then it did. Was pretty disappointed.

Good service and plenty of seating at lunch. Park in the lot on the side street. I had the boneless bbq ribs, japanese drumsticks and mongolian beef.<br><br>Boneless Ribs- interesting chewy texture but this was on the sweet side even without the sauce and I would skip this next time.<br><br>Japanese Drumsticks- 2 orders next time please! Intense crispiness and a great exterior crunch. Odd sauce pairing- but I doctored the ribs sauce with soy for a better dip.<br><br>Mongolian Beef-fresh crisp veggies and a nice savory sauce-would order again

And here’s the rub; everything tastes exactly like meat and this is a vegan restaurant!<br><br>I sampled multiple chicken entrees and if I hadn’t known, I would have sworn I was eating real chicken.<br><br>Their sweet & sour chicken stands out from their competitors because they mix in pineapples and vegetables with the sauce.<br><br>Typically scallion pancakes are an appetizer. Nostalgic American Chinese food from my non-vegan childhood days! Thoroughly enjoyed the Wonton Soup, General Tso’s Chicken, Lo Mein and Spring Roll… the vegan cake was a delicious cherry on top of a tasty meal. And all that for a very reasonable price with the lunch menu! Will definitely be back to try more dishes!!

Value slayers would enjoy this place, food, ambiance and price!<br><br>The cooking is home style, spice is used carefully and would appeal to lot of people!<br><br>The popular picks from google tasted great.<br><br>Spicy dumplings were awesome!<br><br>Roast chicken fried rice was not great. The chicken chunks were bit sweet, lacked much needed flavor - no garlic, onions or aroma.<br><br>We found corn and peas!<br><br>The spicy noodle soup was mediocre too.<br><br>The soy chicken was not fresh!

Excellent fully vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Large menu of Chinese /Japanese/Thai dishes, sushi, sides, drinks and desserts.<br><br>I went with the Garlic Chicken, brown rice and Jamaican patties. Everything was cooked perfectly. Their vegan chicken substitute is delicious.<br><br>The restaurant is very clean, welcoming and spacious. I can't wait to return with family and friends. This is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I've been to in NJ.
