Best bagels I've had in queens. Worth the detour. You can also get delivered. There is some outside/partially covered seating but it is rather limited.

Food is excellent. Ice coffee seems to be better than before. I always order a large black ice coffee and it's better than other places. I love their ice coffee. I love their smoke salmon sandwiches. They seem to pack their Uber orders a lot better also. Highly recommend

Response from the owner

Thank you so much Linda! We look forward to welcoming you back for more delicious menu items

A must stop when in NY! The best bagels you could ever find plus the people are so nice. Bagels are not the only thing that's warm in this place, they treat everyone like family. They sit with us while enjoying their coffee & sharing funny stories, hard to find that anywhere else nowadays. A must visit for sure!

Response from the owner

Thanks for your feedback and photos! We look forward to serving you again soon

I have to give a big shout out to Utopia Bagels. I put in a fairly large order with Clara earlier in the week for delivery today. It included a baker's dozen of bagels to be sliced. The delivery came and the bagels were somewhat hard and were not sliced. I called up and explained this to Scott and he was quite concerned that an error had been made. He wanted to fix the error. He sent a replacement Baker's dozen to me. H was interested in why the bagels were hard, because they never send out bagels from the day before so the driver asked if I could give them back. Unfortunately I had already thrown out the bagels so I couldn't give any samples back to the driver. But they really went above and beyond. In addition, the salads, the spreads , the cream cheese and the lox were great. Thank you Scott.

Response from the owner

My first visit and I was impressed. Easy ordering system, we were given sandwich recommendations and the menu was great! So many options, fresh ingredients. My cowboy sandwich was good and so was the Tex-Mex. I had a French vanilla coffee and it did not have much of a French vanilla taste but I still love my coffee. I also had the French toast, that was ok. I will definitely visit again to try other menu options.

Response from the owner

Kenia, thank you for the wonderful photos. We’re happy to see you enjoyed your experience and we look forward to welcoming you back soon

Even one doesn't seem like it will be busy, the place seems to be hopping. Very good selection of bagels and drinks there, a lot of people behind the count are helping out. A little pricey for the sandwich but it was delicious and the bacon was crispy. It was almost a four mile walk to get there, but it was worth it.

Not sure when I will be back but I'm sure I will be.

Response from the owner

Matthew, we love the photos and honest feedback! Our team was delighted to welcome you and we look forward to serving you again

This place has been a Queens staple for years. The bagels are perfectly hand made. Good crisp on the outside and wonderfully soft and chewy on the inside. The line may be very long, but its worth it. Also don't worry the fame and press has not ruined this place.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much we truly appreciate it! We love the photos and remember that you can always freeze the bagels for up to 6 months! We look forward to welcoming you back in for more again soon !

Been here a few times, and each time I was hoping my experience would be better. I usually try to be fair with my reviews.

This place has become grossly overpriced for what it is. There are many more bagel shops in the neighborhood that are just as good and are glad to have your business.

Visited in person, greeted the servers nicely and repeated my order and was told to stop talking because they got it. When I reminded my server that I would like to everything bagel to go, they continued to say they got it. When I got home, I had two plain bagels in the bag.

I also ordered a flat everything with just pastrami salmon, nothing else on it, and I was charged $15.95 for it. I was ok until I unwrapped it saw the little amount of salmon in the order. Here is a photo of what I received. Between the service and the unfortunately small portions of food, I can’t say that I would be back.

Angel gave astounding service. He cheerfully fixed our coffees, asked me to try it to make sure I liked it, and was super friendly and funny. The food was extremely delicious. I don’t recommend getting a toasted bagel since the regular bagels already have a good texture. I got a cheese danish (very soft and fluffy, not too sweet), an iced French vanilla coffee (a bit watery but maybe it’s the way I ordered it), and a Cordon Bleu on an everything bagel. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. 10/10 recommend. Outdoor dining is appreciated but the tables were a bit wobbly and it could be cuter, but overall good.

Response from the owner

Thanks for coming and sharing the photo! We look forward to welcoming you back in soon

The most amazing experience I had while visiting New York City. An amazing restaurant. They have outdoor seating. The line was long and definitely worth it. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of options for variety of bagels, meats, drinks.

Response from the owner

Thank you for coming and sharing all these wonderful images with us! We’re so thrilled you enjoyed your experience and look forward to serving you again

Visited on a busy Sunday during their lunch rush and waited about 10 minutes to place our order. The deli guy at the counter was friendly and polite, and after ordering, we waited another 7–8 minutes for our sandwich and five everything bagels with cream cheese.

Unfortunately, the quality of the everything bagels was a big letdown. They were barely topped—an everything bagel should be loaded with flavor and seasoning, and these just didn’t deliver. We even bought a container of their “everything bagel toppings” at the register to try to salvage them, but that only made things worse. The toppings were burnt, bitter, and completely inedible—we ended up throwing them away.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience. With so many great bagel spots in New York, I wouldn’t recommend Utopia Bagels or return again.

Response from the owner

Jon, we apologize and want to make it right. This isn’t the Utopia experience we want you to remember us by. Kindly email us at info@utopiabagels.com with your order information so we can further discuss

A local gem in Bayside, Queens, Utopia Bagels on Utopia Pkwy offers a variety of fresh hot bagels, breakfast sandwiches, bagel lunch sandwiches, bagel pizzas, pies, pastries, muffins, espresso beverages and an entire wall of cold refreshments. It's a busy spot for locals & tourists alike so expect a line. Service is friendly & fast. A favorite is The Utopia if you like prosciutto; one of my favorites, the New Yorker with pastrami & coleslaw & The Worth It, is a Nova lox standby. If you like a chicken cutlet, the Yankee Clipper comes with sundried tomatoes. It's New York so nothing is cheap but the prices are reasonable with generous portions & good value. Free street parking; casual neighborhood vibe. Support your local small businesses & restaurants.

Thank you John, your feedback made our day and we look forward to serving you when you visit us again soon

My friends and I had the 18 inch pizza bagel which makes 2 pizzas and garlic knots it equals about 30 bagels. Owner Scott his wife and everyone were amazing. Scott gave us a grand tour saw how things were made and behind the scenes. Pizza was delicious but before I went wasn't sure it would be that good because of the hype. Everything thing I had from there, Pizza , bagels pastries, cookies were outstanding. This has to be my favorite bagel shop. Worth the ride from Jersey. Parking was not an issue. It was really busy on a Saturday luckily we pre-ordered which is how you order the pizza bagel. Highly recommend. Wednesday Warriors approved!

Overall, we really enjoyed our bagel sandwiches! The prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were more on the generous side. In my opinion, the wait was longer than it deserved so I think there’s a bit of a hype component to these bagels. But if you’re in the area and can wait, I recommend visiting!

Response from the owner

Thank you for your honest feedback and we hope to welcome you back soon

Vibrant and super busy venue. Staff was eager to take customer orders. Menu has many options and I’m a bit overwhelmed.

Decided on the lox with cream cheese on a toasted poppy bagel. Excellent flavor, lox is fresh. Bagel is not as big as I imagine it would be.

I’m still hungry after shelling out $17.60 for the bagel & iced coffee. It was a good experience overall but I’ll probably get a bagel with egg & cheese next time…

It’s good but not the best 😅😅

Response from the owner

Thank you for your detailed feedback and positive experience overall. We're glad you enjoyed the flavor of our lox and cream cheese on a toasted poppy bagel. We appreciate your input regarding portion size and value, and we look forward to serving you a satisfying bagel with egg and cheese on your next visit!
