Always fresh, staff is always friendly. I make a stop here almost every other week. Snacks and sweets are the best in the area.

The food is the star! Its basically a takeout place, has some seats but not a dine-in kind of place. The chaats, samosas, etc are fresh and delicious. The food is clean, spiced just right and people there are helpful.

Yesterday, we ordered three plates of Chole Bhature, and they were absolutely terrible. The bhature were excessively thick, completely undercooked on the inside, and absolutely soaked in oil. The chole had absolutely no flavor—I have no idea how many days old they were. A plate of Chole Bhature is always served with red onions, but they had simply made do with white onions instead. I certainly won't be ordering food from here again, nor would I recommend that anyone else does. Ordering from this place is a complete waste of money; furthermore, the Bread Pakora was served completely cold.

I have been coming to Usha food for many years now. Relocated to different town and came back to try again and it never disappoints. Absolutely the best vegetarian food in town. Recently tried the aloo tikee burger and loved it. Also Dosas is a must have…

I have been eating over here for years but never had this experience before. I usually get the papri chaats and all for take out. Today me and my mom had chole bhatore platter and Mozarella Masala Dosa. Right after having the food we felt like throwing up. Idk if it was something old that was served or the oil was bad. My mom threw up multiple times while my stomach is hurting. Please don't serve old food. I grew up having food from this store.

Well well well where do i begin from? Hence I've been coming here for well over 15+ years as a loyal customer! As every night or every other night I'm here getting food, chai and snacks. The last two times I ordered few cups of chai with only 2 spoon sugar in each, the worker added several spoon of sugar of into the chai and told me that I always want it sweet with extra sugar! This is like adding diabetes and poisoning me and my guest(s) slowly. When I addressed the issue to the worker, he tried to help by understanding the situation but the owner herself told me she can't do much and etc. Then later same night gave them the benefit of the doubt and went to get CHAI again... (the addiction) than the owner' son ABI started raising his voice Infront of other customers at me from the window! There's always a place and time to speak openly instead of talking trash out the closed WINDOW! The owners should respect their customers and have concerns...

Been coming here for over 20 years. Stable food establishment on Hillside Ave. Love their chaats. Ordered the Aloo Tikki Chaat for the first time and fell in love all over again. They have a late night walk-up order section open until 1am in the morning. Try all their dishes until you find your top item or items!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for quite some time and have never experienced an issue—until today. I placed my usual order, only to be surprised when the food came out hard as a rock. When I asked for either a redo or a refund, I was told it would have to be run by a manager first. As someone who has supported this place consistently, I expected better. If you want your customers to keep coming back, please prioritize both the quality of the food and the efficiency of your service.

On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Usha for their incredibly generous and delicious donation to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala.

They provided dhokla, a traditional steamed savory cake made from chickpea flour, which was an absolute revelation for many of our guests. Light, fluffy, and delicately tangy, it was seasoned with mustard seeds, fresh cilantro, and a hint of chili—offering a unique and refreshing flavor profile that stood out beautifully among the diverse dishes at the event. It was such a pleasure to experience something both unfamiliar and utterly delicious, and our guests were thrilled to try this authentic and thoughtfully prepared treat.

It is because of adventurous and community-minded businesses like Usha that we are able to raise vital funds for our mission of supporting women in the New York community. Their generosity not only provided a wonderful culinary experience but also highlighted the importance of sharing diverse cultures and cuisines with our community.

We highly recommend Usha for their exceptional dhokla and their tremendous heart. Thank you for introducing us to this delightful dish and for helping make our event an unforgettable success!

When you crave for Indian snacks and a restaurant like Om Sweets/Anand Sweet, this gotta be your GOTO.

We tried Usha Foods for snacks and found this place to serve the finest Indian snacks, and the menu is rich.

The place is well maintained but could be cleaner.

The order is served reasonably quickly.

The place offers ample seating space.

The location has street parking, which is easily available.

What deserves a special mention?
The food is just great. And at par with what you get in India.

What could be better?
The place needs to upgrade its ambiance. It feels dated. It has the potential to become the best.
