Everything was amazing, walked in with my wife after a long day on our feet at The Met ambiance, music, and decor are great.

Our server Malee was FANTASTIC! She was fun, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful.

The food really stood out, especially the seasonal dishes and chefs specialties. We cleaned every plate that was put in front of us, and now we need a nap!

May was an amazing server during my visit to the Up Thai restaurant. She was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Her recommendations were great, and she created such a welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back because of her excellent service.

BEST THAI FOOD IVE HAD IN NYC PERIOD. Claypot rice was my fav, so flavorful with generous portions of meats. Pad see ew was also amazing, super bouncy noodles. The pork chop rice was so unique, with steamed purple sticky rice and an addicting sauce. Soft shell pomelo salad, tom yum, green curry was great as well! Finished off perfectly with a generous portion of mango sticky rice. Ugh so so goooooodddddd.

It’s not so easy to find a reasonable price point in the Upper East Side. Up Thai delivers! Value is good. The best thing by far is the green curry, so tasty. The addition of crispy duck for $3 is totally worth it, delicious! The pad K (sorry can’t spell the whole name) was ordinary as were the appetizers. Rice is served in cool pointy mountains, that was fun. Service is sporadic and inattentive, hope you’re not in a rush. But Up Thai beats paying UES prices elsewhere!

Absolutely loved the food at Up Thai! Poh Tak Thai-style was comforting and flavorful, packed with fresh shrimp, mussels, and squid. The broth was aromatic, and the garlic bread on top was a perfect touch. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Also, The host(Jern) was incredibly kind and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

What an amazing a meal! The standout dishes for me were the Hoi Jor, Crispy Shrimp and Squid, Duck Tamarind and Beef Short Rib Panang. Service was great and the decor was on point! I think they just finished remodeling the restaurant. Highly recommend!

UpThai is my favorite Thai restaurant in NYC and an absolute must whenever I am in the city. The cool vibe, warm lighting, and fun, friendly atmosphere make it such an enjoyable place to dine. Everything on the menu is delicious, and some dishes even change slightly with the seasons, which keeps things exciting. Our go-to favorites are the curry puffs, the Up Thai fried rice clay pot, and the beef short rib panang. Each dish is full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and perfectly spiced. UpThai never disappoints.

Read the reviews and saw the pictures, but actually eating the food was a whole different experience—in the best way. I love trying new Thai spots, and Up Thai did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and the space has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Don’t judge it by the front view—once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. It’s the perfect spot for solo dining or a relaxed night out.
P.s hopefully you get Kimberly she was the best server!

Amazing food and drinks! My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and just loved every bit of it. Everything came out fast and Malee was so hospitable, answered all our questions and was personable, helped with food adjustments that we thought would be good. Malee was awesome, ask for her if you can!

We decided to have lunch here recently and check out the lunch specials. The location is in the middle of the block on second avenue between 73 and 74. It was really busy and there is very little warm space to stand as we waited for a table.
The lunch specials menu is pretty good. Lots of choices.
We ordered Pad Khing with beef and Kya Gai with chicken. Large portions. We each had tofu vegetable soup and I got crispy spring Roll and she got steamed dumplings. All very tasty.
A lively place full of young people, many Asians.
Prices are very reasonable.
Definitely will go again.

Whenever I’m on the Upper East Side, Upthai is one of my go-to spots. The service is always warm and attentive, and the festive décor gives the place such a cheerful, welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home. The pork chop is my absolute favorite — unbelievably tender, full of flavor, and the portion is generous enough to leave me completely satisfied.
Upthai never disappoints, and it’s a place I always look forward to returning to whenever I’m in the neighborhood.

I tried Up Thai for the first time and it instantly became one of my favourite Thai spots. The mango salad was super fresh and flavourful, the chicken pad thai had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, and the panang curry was rich, creamy, and packed with amazing flavour.

The ambiance was also incredible — warm, modern, and a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was friendly and quick as well. Overall, one of the best Thai dining experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

Amazing! We all loved everything we ate. We had the short ribs, the thalay tai, pad kee mao and masaman curry. All were so tasty and flavourful. Some plates were level 4 spicy and it was pretty spicy. But not overbearing if you like spicy. We had Tanya as our waitress and her service was top notch. Such a lovely person and her recommendations were on point. Definitely will to come back.

My mother and I recently visited Up Thai and had a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot for either lunch or a date night.

The only small downside was the clear plastic partitions between some of the tables — likely leftovers from COVID — but honestly, that’s just a minor detail in an otherwise outstanding dining experience.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing Thai food and great vibes!
