For the first time, my review is not great.
I ordered a bone-in curry chicken dinner with potatoes and peas & rice.
There was absolutely NO curry taste at all. The chicken and the rice had no salt. Did they get a new cook? I lived in Trinidad. I've been to Trinciti multiple times. This was a great disappointment.

i can definitely see why people come from the island and the boroughs to trinciti!

it gets very busy, but the service is fast. for the quality and the price, you really can't complain. this place has maybe 9+ workers and operates like a well-oiled machine. as with most west-indian establishments, iykyk, you do nottttt come here for the hospitality- but for the food!

i came here and got the curry goat double and i think it was about $4? the bara was so hot and soft and the lady helping me packed a generous amount of meat inside.

there are a few tables inside to dine; parking is difficult in the area.

all in all, make sure to make it a mission to try this local gem!

Seriously fantastic food. The bustup shot Roti and curry was amazing. Considering how insanely popular and crowded the place was it ran very smoothly. I only gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because you can't be that busy and popular and it be a really relaxed environment 😀. The kiosk when you walk in is super convenient and the order comes out right there or you can wait in the crazy line to see everything on offer.

The people working there are really friendly and nice and handled the insanity so well.

Best bustup shot Roti I've had in ages.

I was on line waiting to order and the lady in charge of the uber eats orders is extremely rude and nasty to the delivery drivers. Full on yelling at them when they ask how long more. Mind you, these drivers have quotas that they must meet in order for the apps to continue to assign orders. One of the drivers simply asked if there was anyone that was designated to the delivery systems to which she stated “when you go to McDonalds they don’t have that” which McDonalds does indeed have. Then she told the driver “when you have your own store then you worry about that” she was extremely unprofessional and she made a personal comment to the driver about his own store. Extremely rude. I will be letting everyone know to boycott trinciti until they can show compassion to these delivery drivers as they became frontline workers since the pandemic. These people risk their lives driving bikes and scooters and cars for 8-12 hours a day to service the boroughs, it wouldn’t hurt to show them some compassion and respect. It truly hurt me to see how she treated the drivers.

Very busy experience inside. I recommend ordering ahead and calling beforehand for fastest service

We hosted an 18 person Trini potluck and the catering order went well. Thank you!

As you will find with most Caribbean restaurants, service is mediocre at best. I can rant about how they ignore some people for others and whatever else, but that’s not the point of this review.
I am strictly talking about the food specifically the “Bake and Shark”. It is everything and then some. I promise you won’t regret it, it’s a large serving that I’ve never been able to finish in one sitting. The other food is also good, but I haven’t had much else on the menu except the doubles.

Order: 1 chicken roti with pumpkin
1 shrimp buss up with pumpkin
2 shrimp doubles
2 plain doubles

Received 1 chicken buss up without pumpkin
1 shrimp buss up with pumpkin
2 shrimp doubles
2 plain doubles

The chicken and shrimp were EXTREMELY OILY! The buss up has no taste! I was charged for pumpkin and didn't receive it. Safe to say I am thoroughly disappointed. The shrimp doubles were tasty though. $54 for oil..sigh

They keep it moving in this small neighborhood shop and we love them for it. The food is exceptional and affordable. The cheapest best oxtails I've had ever. $19 oxtail lunch is unheard of. The doubles were $3. Amazing. Can't wait to return

Trinciti is where I go for delicious doubles and phoulorie. Best doubles in Queens in my personal opinion. The staff is always very nice and welcoming. There food and baked goods are delicious. And if you ever go here, please try the bake & shark. It's to die for.

For my first time it wasn’t a great experience I ordered the curried duck with buss up, shrimp doubles , side of curried mango and 3dhal puree , coconut cake, the flavor of the food excellent how ever , there was much bone where was the meat on the duck ? And the mango I got much SKIN only and seed that’s very disrespectful. When I go to Sugard in Brooklyn and order curried mango I gets mango not skin!!! Especially after spending $49 no I need so kinda refund or another order because that was skin and bones I got 🥲

I live in the Bronx and the Trini food around here is just okay. My family and friends kept telling me about Trinciti Roti so I finally made the drive to check it out. Best 30 minutes from the Bronx to Queens I ever spent.
Got there before lunch and the line was crazy long. That tells you something. But it moved fast. My shrimp roti was so good. The pholorie and doubles were amazing too. Plenty of toppings for everything. I also grabbed rice, callaloo, and stew fish for my wife and she loved it.
A little pricey but worth it. Food is great, place is clean, staff is friendly. If you can order by phone or online, do it. They have bake and shark but only on weekends, which is a bummer. Go try it. You'll thank me later.

Saw this establishment on "David's been here" on YouTube, and thought to visit, my husband and I. As soon as we walked in, the place had a long line, still inside the restaurant though and the line went pretty quick. I ordered 8 doubles 2 chicken, 1 goat and the rest plain. My husband ordered doubles and an Oxtail Aloo pie. The doubles were so good, I enjoyed every bite! I don't know how the chicken doubles tasted, as those were not for me, but the goat was great. My husband also ordered a "Melody cake" and omg, bomb! Service can be worked on by the line workes. Other than that the atmosphere was cool, no place to eat inside, eat and go...the AC was blasting, so it felt nice inside waiting in this summer heat. They do have a refrigerator with a variety of drinks, they also have a few popular carribean snacks for sell and some bakery items.

I came here several times, the food is okay pricey, the food looks good, the doubles are tasty, Buswhata or that large roti Trinidadian ( Large tortilla), just watch it with some of the food like Mango curry a small portion will cost you an arm and a leg, but the food is good, the ladies at the counter very confusion all around like chickens with out a head, but typical since Trinidad probably the same way,🏝️🤫 the crowd looks ruff some seem to have attitudes and they look and talk like wanna be Jamaicans,🙀🙀🤔not to friendly people, but again if your hungry it's not bad to spend a little money for Caribbean food way better then the Food across the street again very pricey unlike the Trincity on Liberty Ave off lefferts which looks cleaner and alot more friendlier.

Anyways yes the food is good depending what your ordering plenty of selection but over priced.

They should work on prices and customer service not all but some.

I saw this restaurant online, I was eager to try their bake and shark, having had a tough time finding a good one in the past. I originally planned on traveling to brooklyn to go there one day. However, yesterday, I was 25 minutes away, so we decided to give it a shot. However, the experience was chaotic from the start. With too many people serving, the atmosphere was overwhelming, and I struggled to hear and understand the staff. Despite ordering a simple bake and shark, I was bounced back and forth between the cashier and the ordering counter, which was frustrating and confusing. To make matters worse, the food was subpar, with the only redeeming quality being the size of the shark. The addition of pineapple and tomatoes, which I had requested, was a misstep. This is why I try not to follow the hype. I didn't even ask for the price of the bake and shark. I just paid my $33. This shows how excited I was to try it. Based on my bill, the bake and shark were $18, and the 3 doubles were $12. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't return.

To be fair, i'm not going to add a picture of the bake and shark because I ate it when I got home, so by then, it was very soggy.

So it was my second time here, because I absolutely loved it the first time. I was so excited to have my food. We came Friday evening and ordered 4 regular doubles, 3 chicken doubles and 1 curry chicken with rice. The chicken was not good , undercooked. Could not eat it. Regular doubles were fine. But couldn’t eat the curry chicken or chicken doubles, (boneless). I called to tell them what happened because I didn’t want to write a negative review and all I got was will “let the Boss know”, that’s it! Not happy how they handled the situation! Waste of time, as we came from the Bronx , waste of money! Highly disappointed!
