My husband and I came here for our anniversary on Friday night and it was great. We were immediately greeted with complimentary prosecco by the kind host. The pasta special was incredible as well as our waitress Ava, who helped make our night fantastic! We will be back!

Response from the owner

Hi, Julia. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!

We stopped by for lunch and had a really solid experience. The place wasn’t too packed which made for a nice, relaxed meal.
We went heavy on the starters: the charcuterie boards, freshly baked meatloaf, and the Roman fried artichokes. Those artichokes were easily one of the highlights of the day. For my main, I ordered the Linguine and Clams, which was flavorful and hit the spot.

Our server was super friendly and did a great job with recommendations. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that I was really craving calamari and unfortunately, they don't have it on the menu.

I’ll definitely be back to see how their pizzas and other pasta dishes compare.

Response from the owner

Hi, Violet. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!

Went here for brunch before a Broadway show - was very convenient how close it was to the Ambassador Theatre. Would have be an amazing spot to dine at prior to/after visiting Carnegie Hall right next door. Want to come back to experience the full dinner menu.

Response from the owner

Hi, Sarah. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

What a wonderful experience. Take a moment to enjoy the decor with gigantic candies and many different types of images of a nose. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly made so flavorful. Our wait staff was amazing, professional, funny and knowledgeable. I loved his Joe Pesci like voice and extremely handsome. Please check
out the cuisine mages and captions. Now this little end piece is for Mgt and no reflection on the truly amazing experience my bestie and I had! Little annoyance from an older skinny mocha complexion man with a face mask constantly interrupting our joyful conversation to clear plates with food on it. We had to pull our plates away. I hope Mgt. see this and talk to him. Otherwise, please make a reservation and come enjoy authentic Italian cuisine fine dining and ambiance! I’ll be back for sure with more friends. ❤️

Food:
This is the kind of Italian place that does big, familiar dishes exactly the way you want them done. The chicken parm was the best thing I had and the clearest reason to come back. It was rich, comforting, and actually felt worth ordering, not just like the safe choice on the menu. The meatballs were also excellent. Tender, full of flavor, and substantial without feeling heavy for the sake of it. The lasagna leaned more indulgent, but in a good way. It had that baked, meaty, deeply satisfying quality you want when you order lasagna at a place like this. Nothing felt phoned in. It was classic Italian food done with confidence and enough polish to make the whole meal feel worth it.

Service:
Service was professional and well paced. It felt like a place that knows how to keep a busy dining room moving without making the meal feel rushed.

Summary:
This is a very easy place to enjoy if what you want is classic Italian food done well. The chicken parm alone would be enough reason for me to go back.

Great place for a date or family, upscale environment with delicious food. Their dessert is out of this world!!!! The cannoli is INSANE - instead of a classic shell it’s made with caramel and the insight is light. 10/10 great place before a show, too

White Negroni was delicious as well

Response from the owner

Hi, Jennifer. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!

Pancakes were fluffy and HUGE. You can definitely share. Pancakes were loaded with a ton of fresh fruit. Coffee was good. Really nothing bad to say at all.

While we always appreciate a positive review, from the photos it appears that you may have dined at Carnegie Diner. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you to our location—our brunch is truly outstanding, and we hope you’ll stop by and give us a try!

Stephanie Holmes
Director of Guest Services
The Fireman Hospitality Group

The food was incredibly mid-tier. Rigatoni alla vodka was basically just in a tomato sauce without any cream. The carbonara was good but it was supposed to come with bacon and it came with two tiny tiny kernels of meat. The service was incredibly fast like food within 10 min but it was actually too fast for my liking. It was faster than going to McDonalds. Yes we all have shows to catch but even add five minutes to help with the vibe.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear the dishes did not meet your expectations and that the pacing of service felt rushed rather than enjoyable. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback, as it’s important for us to understand how both food execution and overall flow are being experienced by our guests.

Stephanie Holmes
Director of Guest Services
The Fireman Hospitality Group

This is the go 2 restaurant when seeing something at Carnegie Hall or City Center. The service, food and Hospitality are all worth the reservation. While they don't have an ADA restroom you can go next door, they made special accommodations for the member of our party with ADA needs.
The antipasto bar is a true treat with delicious, authentic Italian selections, some made fresh 2 order. And save room 4 dessert if you like that type a thing.

Response from the owner

Hi, Haynes. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!

We dined on a Friday night with a reservation for four. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. I had the spaghetti carbonara with guanciale, which was my favorite dish. We also shared the garlic bread appetizer, and it was excellent. Although we didn’t order the pizza, a nearby table did, and it looked really good. The location is very convenient, close to both Times Square and Central Park. I recommend this spot for great food and easy access to the area.

Response from the owner

Hi, Miguel. Thank you so much for leaving us a stellar review!

Went in for dinner without a reservation and was still seated. Our server (I think his name was Bo or Mo) was clearly busy but treated us with amazing hospitality. He recommended the spaghetti and meatballs, which turned out to be delicious. At the end, he even surprised me with some chocolate. I rarely write reviews, but the service and food here truly deserve it.

Response from the owner

Hi, Quoi. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

Very traditional Italian restaurant right across Carnegie hall. It’s very spacious inside and cute art decor. Tables are very tight doesn’t leave much space to walk through tho.
The food is good but nothing spectacular. You can get all the popular dishes here and they do it well. Nothing really innovative.
Service is great, our waiter is super friendly. The price tag is high but this is prime location which is reasonable

Response from the owner
