The fried calamari were absolutely disgusting. The fried flounder was horrible no flavor. The food was so bad I went to Seafood City to order calamari. I thought I would get better quality food. Wow!! Was I disappointed. I wouldn't recommend eating here at all. The food had no flavor and the portions are minimal.

Tony’s Pier is another spot I really enjoy. No joke, this place is awesome. The seafood is delicious, the portions are generous, and it has that real City Island feeling that makes the whole experience better.

It’s a great place to come when you want good seafood, a relaxed atmosphere, and that waterfront neighborhood vibe. Whether you’re grabbing something casual or sitting down to enjoy a meal, it feels like one of those classic Bronx spots that’s worth the trip.

Good food, good portions, and a place I’d definitely keep coming back to.
Never gets old! The food, the vibes, the culture it’s always on point! Been coming here my entire life and it always remind me of back home in DR and my childhood growing up in the bronx. But what I truly love the most, is their love for their employees, they have the same faces and people working for them for over 3 decades, that is truly impressive! They will always have a customer in me. Thank you for always keeping true traditions alive!
My mom chose Tony’s Pier for her birthday because she wanted a wide variety of seafood in a casual setting. While I originally leaned toward something more formal, she was absolutely right to pick this spot!
We ordered the steamed and fried combos so she could sample a bit of everything, and she loved the variety. She also enjoyed the Manhattan Clam Chowder, though she mentioned it could have been served a bit hotter. The only real misses were the baked clams, which were over-seasoned and slightly bitter, and the tostones, which were unfortunately soggy.
The atmosphere, however, was 10/10. The staff was friendly, and the whole restaurant even joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" to my mom and another lady celebrating her birthday too. Despite the couple of side-dish hiccups, the seafood was fresh and the experience was memorable!
I love Tony's, my dad introduced us to this restaurant many years ago since I was a child and let's just say I was born in the 80's😃...their food has always been well made and the environment has been family friendly since I can remember, it is a casual family friendly restaurant where you can get great food! I've been to a few City Island spots and honestly Tony's surpasses most when it comes to flavor at a reasonable price. The owner is also very personable and many of their staff have been there since I can remember over 20 years now.
Only been here once... Usually go to the place across the street, but they were closed for the season

Ordered fried shrimp, fried clams and grilled scallops. Good was very good. Would definitely recommend.

The only thing I thought was huh... All the seafood dishes were tinged red. I'm assuming it was old bay, which I like, but it would have been nice to be able to opt out of it. That being said, did was delicious, prices really good.

Very happy with visit and food.
The food was fried and full
Of grease
Just the way I like it I ordered the fried fish platter with fish of course calamari shrimp clams and scallops it was so much food . I enjoyed every last bite. First time there didn’t know what to expect. Fast quick service inside and outside dining picnic table style seating.
Stopped in with a few family members (not my choice). First of all the establishment is a cash only place, they conveniently have several ATMs at the restaurant for a fee. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dinning tables. Honestly this place really seems like fast food sea food style. Personally, I just am not a fan. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder which was not the way I like it, it was very runny and watery. I had the ribs because I did not want any fried sea food. The ribs were bad, smothered in awful bbq sauce. The only thing I liked were the tostones. My girlfriend ordered the fried whiting and it had no flavor it was rather blah. I did not like this place and will not return.
This place will forever be a staple in my heart! This a Bronx classic! You can't say you been to city island without going to Tony's. the fired seafood choices are amazing.

The fried shrimp combo always a good one. If you want to spice if up, get a combo #20 including lobster tail. Also had a seafood boil option with clam bar.

The drinks are also a fans favorite. The pina colada are to die for ! I love this spot! Me and my family been coming here for ages! On a good day when the weather is good especially in the summer, sit outside and enjoy the lake views.

Never forget, always bring cash !!
A nice restaurant by the waterfront serving up seafood and many fried options.

A dozen oysters for $18. A few tables had the king crab legs. The clams & fish whiting looked popular.

The cheeseburger was a bargain for $6. My New England clam chowder was not as creamy and a bit short in clam meat.

The venue interior is nicely cooled and organized.
They have a great variety of seafood and it’s delicious. I would say fried food was a bit better than baked one but it depends on every person. They also have a variety of drinks (alcohol). It is a big place to enjoy with family and friends and it’s always full of people so you need to know there might be no table available for a moment.
I recommend the seafood pasta as it has a unique take (usually they come with red or clam sauce). The fried calamares were a little too tough. The steamed clams was a great deal for the price. The bathrooms are clean. Overall, it has a beach seafood shack vibe and the staff were approachable.
Seafood take out style restaurant. There is no table service, but there are plenty of seating available. It is bit expensive and not many healthy choices. Limited menu makes ordering easy.
Beautiful location and views. Cashiers are very friendly.

Even though it is City Island, It's the Bronx, and sometimes in the summer, there are tough groups where I got the feeling a fight can break out 😬. I have felt they need private security during the summer peak season. So far I had no problems
FOOD: On our way through NYC we decided to stop at City Island! To try these exquisite styles of food!! We loved everything and they served us very quickly! We loved everything, we liked the tarta sauce.

The place was very clean and the bathrooms too! We recommend that if you go at night, you visit the patio! It's really cool. We loved it.
Been here over the years many times, very good memories and always has good food. My wife and I had the fried lobster tails and a shrimp basket which is their classic! Drinks were perfect and always hit the spot!
