Tommys Tavern + Tap

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and overall experience, which is why I felt it was important to share this feedback.<br>One thing that I found disappointing is that the suggested tip amounts are calculated based on the total including government taxes. Tips should reflect the service provided by staff, not taxes charged by the government, so this practice feels misleading and unnecessary.<br>Additionally, during our last visit, I noticed several customers vaping in the bar area. Since I do not smoke and NYC regulations are generally very strict regarding indoor smoking and vaping, I asked two hosts whether vaping was allowed. One of them gave a vague response implying that it was “fine as long as nobody noticed,” which honestly surprised me. When I asked again more directly whether it was allowed or not, I was finally told that technically it is not allowed.<br><br>I was disappointed by both the inconsistency and the casual attitude toward enforcing the policy. Regardless of what people are vaping, many guests do not appreciate being exposed to it indoors.<br>We still enjoy coming here and hope this feedback is taken constructively, because with a little more professionalism and consistency in these areas, the experience would be much better for everyone.

We have been coming to Tommy’s since it opened. Have not had a chance to leave a review. I recommend a 1000% have never had a bad meal or drink there ever. The food is always so good , bartenders are all good and drinks are so good !! I love the vibe there😊go you will enjoy it!!

Ive always loved tommys. A year ago it was a better place to come every week no matter the day. Today it took a while to get drinks and food. People seem more annoyed than anything, no smiles, just stares. The food wasnt as good as it used to be. I got the Mediterranean platter today and it looked like they just threw everything on a plate. Ive seen a change in staff maybe that may be it. Usually people seem happy but not this crew i saw earlier. The espresso martini wasnt the best and the salad I had seemed much smaller than usual. Barely enough lettuce on the plate.

Always a great vibe at Tommy's Tavern & Tap—whether you’re at the bar watching a game or sitting with friends and family. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home.<br><br>I’ve been coming here since their grand opening in September of 2018, and it’s been consistently great. The menu has a wide variety—burgers, steaks, pasta, and even sushi—and everything is done really well. The sushi especially stands out and feels like it’s coming from a dedicated sushi spot. It’s impressive how the kitchen handles such a wide range of food while keeping the quality high.<br><br>Over the years I’ve met some great people here, both staff and other customers. You can really feel the vision Tommy Bonfiglio had—creating a place where people can enjoy good food, drinks, and a great atmosphere. Hoping it’s around for many years to come. RIP Tommy.

Had an amazing meal at Tommy’s! The French onion soup was fabulous, and the Cali burger and chicken sandwich were both 10/10. A huge thank you to our waitress, Stephanie, for being so attentive and making the night great. We’ll definitely be back!

Great place at the Staten Island mall. We had two kids with us and they were very accommodating- besides the traditional crayons and placemat- the kids go some dough to make their own pizza. All our entrees were great- including poke, short ribs and sandwiches. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Will definitely return.

Big place with lots of TVs. I had a veggie burger with fries and a jalapeño pineapple margarita. The fries were excellent. The margarita yummy. The veggie burger was fine just not to my liking. They offered 1/2 price wine happy hour. The service was excellent.

Tommy’s Tavern in Staten Island is great! This place deserves every bit of a five-star rating. Their burgers are hands-down the greatest—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I’m obsessed with their avocado burger; the creamy avocado paired with their perfectly seasoned patty is a match made in heaven. The Wisconsin cheese curds are another highlight—crispy, cheesy, and downright delicious, they’re a must-try appetizer. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere every time I visit. On top of that, the service is impressively quick—I’ve never had to wait long for a table or my food. If you’re in Staten Island looking for a spot with incredible food and great vibes, Tommy’s Tavern is the place to go to!

We love tommy's tavern however the last couple of times we ordered food to go the burgers were undercooked. The first time I asked for mine to be well done and was extremely undercooked. This time my husband asked for medium well and it was like half the burger was cooked and the rest was kind of raw. Also we got kids meatball and penne and the meatball had something inside of it, seems like maybe a piece of bamboo or plastic. I'm not sure we'll be ordering again from here. Used to be our favorite place

Food was good. We love Alexa she’s a girls girl. Awesome waitress, great personality, and also attentive- we didn’t feel rushed but also not forgotten. Had a great time, thanks Alexa!!!

We go to Tommy’s every week and absolutely love the place. The food, service, atmosphere are all top notch. The fact that the managers care enough to always come over and ask if everything is ok means a lot. Love the wings. We get them almost every time we go and we order a medium classic pizza but get it made into a flatbread just because we like it that way. Never had anything that we didn’t like. They are always crowded and you most likely have to wait to be seated but to us it’s worth it

It was my first time at this restaurant/bar/pizzeria I have got to say it was amazing. I noticed the place is very spacious and clean. The staff are professional and friendly. My waiter was wonderful. The menu is huge with unique dishes I haven’t seen at other bars. The food was so good I had started with two appetizers and a entree. The pretzel was fresh, soft and delicious, I just wish it had less salt on it. The spinach and artichoke dip was too good, it was thick, creamy and cheesy. The sushi was my favorite dish, it was of the best sushi I ever had. I also tried the grilled chicken & mushrooms with fresh basil pizza it was fresh and fantastic. I’m very impressed with this business.

I met my girlfriend here recently on a Wednesday after work, and it was perfect because it wasn't too crowded. We kicked off the evening with a couple of beers at the bar. They have a great selection, including a lot of craft beers. Since IPA is my go-to, I tried a few different ones, and they were all really good. After a few drinks, we decided to order dinner, and there were so many options on the menu. We ended up sharing a pizza and a burger. The burger was amazing—I went for the bacon barbecue, and it was full of flavor and super juicy. The fries that came with it were crispy and delicious. The pizza was just as good, and the meat lover’s option was definitely the right choice. The bartenders were awesome, too. They were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, this place is a great spot to relax and hang out.

Alexa was very friendly, witty and social, providing us with a fun and enjoyable experience! The food was good and flavorful, with a unique twist to its original format (I.e., fried onion strips on top of the French onion soup - which was delicious!). The prices were reasonable as well and the selection is incredibly varied, so will definitely come back to try some of their many other selections! A few dishes was off, but overall is a pretty good restaurant, decent price for the meal, huge portions, their appetizers are full on entrees. We had the firecracker 50/50 that's the worst,no flavor. But their meatball is on point, the drinks was Tommy's twist I think, very good. The sangria was on point. The bread with the meatballs was super fresh. The fish is dry, but everything else was pretty good. Good service.
