We have been coming to this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and overall experience, which is why I felt it was important to share this feedback.
One thing that I found disappointing is that the suggested tip amounts are calculated based on the total including government taxes. Tips should reflect the service provided by staff, not taxes charged by the government, so this practice feels misleading and unnecessary.
Additionally, during our last visit, I noticed several customers vaping in the bar area. Since I do not smoke and NYC regulations are generally very strict regarding indoor smoking and vaping, I asked two hosts whether vaping was allowed. One of them gave a vague response implying that it was “fine as long as nobody noticed,” which honestly surprised me. When I asked again more directly whether it was allowed or not, I was finally told that technically it is not allowed.

I was disappointed by both the inconsistency and the casual attitude toward enforcing the policy. Regardless of what people are vaping, many guests do not appreciate being exposed to it indoors.
We still enjoy coming here and hope this feedback is taken constructively, because with a little more professionalism and consistency in these areas, the experience would be much better for everyone.
