My wife and I stopped here on the way home. We weren’t too hungry, but it looked interesting. And we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a few appetizers to try some things that wouldn’t be too filling. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we tried. First of all, the flavor of the bean dip with the chips was phenomenal. They took something so simple and added great flavor to it. The ambiance was fantastic. I always enjoy being able to see the chefs make food for you right in front of you. The service was great. I absolutely want to return to try more menu options!
One of my go-to for mexican food in the UES! Food is consistently delicious and drinks are amazing too. I don't cook, so I'm always looking for healthy options in the neighborhood. So happy to have this place nearby!
Food was fresh and artfully done. Nice flavor profile to the rice and beans, not bland like many places. Tacos had a nice dance of unexpected flavors. Nice little gem we stumbled upon. We went on a Saturday around noon and everything was breezy.
Fantastic place. Great variety of authentic Mexican food and drink and absolutely delicious! And right next door to the theater where we were about to attend a show! Highly recommend!
Reservations highly recommended. We got there waited about 10min before getting seated.
Michael was our server who was awesome. We were a table of allergies and dietary requirements and Michael took great care of us. Restaurant is very nice. Great menu choices. Spicy margaritas were the best. Perfect amount of spiciness and variety of flavors to choose from. We had chicken quesadillas which was flavorful, Baja fish taco which was good just blend. Chicken enchiladas were mouth watering and the trio chips and salad are a must. We celebrated a birthday so got churros which came with chocolate and caramel sauce. Great ambience here and evening was perfect.
Chicken enchiladas were flavorful and I recommend it. mild guacamole was excellent. They have 3 spice levels for guacamole. Lots of vegetarian options. Mocktails were also good.
Simple Mexican located near Radio City. Dinner was bustling downstairs and upstairs but food comes out quick. Spice level on the enchiladas was medium to spicy so beware. However, chicken was well stewed and tender. Prices are on higher side for portion size but that's to be expected in this part of NYC
The place was packed. We didn't have reservations but they accommodate us at the bar. It was perfect for us since we couldn't stay to long. The food was great. Customer service was 👌. They served food pretty quick and were attend to our needs.
Some unique dishes, but the execution was nothing special. The best dish we got was by far the Carnitas de Lechon plate. Also, the atmosphere is not pleasing; the place is dimly lit and seating is overly tight. Service is quite inattentive, though pretty timely. Would recommend going somewhere else in the area.
The food in this place is amazing. We got reservations bcos we stayed at the marriottt and the concierge got us in. The service is ok but that is also because this place is packed.
If you like Mexican food, definitely try Toloache. I will definitely go there again.
We had a little bit of a wait to be seated but I was glad we got in.
I love coming to this place, especially after catching a Broadway show. It's strange that I've never left a review before.

The atmosphere here is charming, and the food never disappoints. What I enjoy the most are the drinks - they serve perfectly balanced tequila cocktails with fresh juice that are not too strong or sweet. It's just perfect! I'll definitely keep coming back whenever I'm in NYC.
The food at this place was amazing. The service provided to us by the restaurant was superb. The place was nice and warm, even though it was snowing outside. They were even able to add a touch of Christmas in their restaurant. Definitely recommend to go to this restaurant for lunch. We had the veggie quesadilla and burrito.
suprisingly better mexican food in the theater district than expected! Brunch was really quite good with an excellent steak sandwich , good queso, and tasty mezcal. The service was spectacular.
Visited this past week and had a great experience! I had the Birria tacos with rice and beans for my meal and it was all delicious. Ahead of that, had the Fritos Medium guacamole which was also delicious and fresh. For dessert I wrapped up with the Flan which was creamy and very enjoyable! Service was spot on and I highly recommend eating here and I will be visiting again soon!
