Great beer selection and sausages too. Very similar in many respects to the beer gardens in Germany and Austria. We thoroughly enjoyed this fun stop after strolling the Highline on a Sunday afternoon.
It was very loud though so if you want to have meaningful conversation time be sure to do it while walking the Highline not when you get to the garden!

This is an awesome place to come and experience new beers yeah, chill or meet cool people!
Wasn't able to try any of the food or drink because I was driving but I'm definitely looking forward to coming back here

Discourteous and disinterested staff. Ordered an item and waited 15 minutes before I walked up to ask on its status and was told the “oven was out.” Ordered a plain pretzel since I had already paid and the dip was off and effervescent. When I requested beers, I was consistently told they were out when I just gave up and asked for them to give me whatever they had if they had any. Honestly think the staff was too entitled to fulfill an order just for a power grab. Shame since it would make for a great place but absolute disgrace. Ate afternoon of 3/27

This is a good spot to have a large gathering. I appreciate they keep heat lamps in the winter. I liked their warm apple cider. They have very good sausages but I really liked their garlic bread bomb.

Visited here for their Biergarten, which was absolutely packed. Bar service was quick, the beer was refreshing, and the energy was popping!

Their food has character that's instantly recognizable. The staff cares about more than just your order. Staff members outdid themselves as usual. My dining pattern involves continuous menu exploration. In a nutshell: The Standard Biergarten is fantastic.

Fun beer garden under a bridge, a bit overpriced for the quality and space, but it packs out during games. Good German beer and enjoyed the pretzel.

I had a great time at The Standard Biergarten! The atmosphere is lively and fun — perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual meal with drinks. I ordered the Cheddar Kurtwurst and the Currywurst, both of which were excellent.

The Cheddar Kurtwurst was juicy and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of melted cheddar inside. The Currywurst had a nice kick to it — spicy, savory, and full of that classic curry flavor. Both came with potato salad on the side, which was creamy and balanced the meats well.

Service was fast even though it was busy, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’re a fan of German-style sausages and a fun beer garden vibe, I’d definitely recommend stopping by

Went during happy hour on a sunny Monday. It was full (not packed), no lines to get tickets — used to buy other items — and beer

The food, a bunch of sorted sausages, potato salad and a pretzel, were all delicious! That is, except for the chicken sausage, which didn’t really taste like much (lack of salt and of seasoning), though that’s nothing a bit of mustard can’t fix

A great place to have a conversation! Though, if it’s pretty hot, as it was the case, you may feel a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps get extra beers?

Covered seating available with heaters. Biergarten style seating with communal tables. Buy tickets at the entrance to pay for food and beer, a ticket is $12 and the bratwurst and pretzel were each 1 ticket and the stein of beer was 2 tickets. Food was good and came quickly! Fyi it doesn't come with a bun or bread though so probably want to get a second thing to share if you're hungry.

Went on the first hot day of spring and it was absolutely jam packed. We somehow managed to get a table for the 6 of us. The beers were great. I especially loved the Kolsch, Pale Ale and the lager. The vibes were immaculate. Also really enjoyed the waffle fried and the pretzel.

More fun than good.

My wife loves German food and loves biergartens. This is like the Disney of biergartens.

Look, the standard is a great restaurant and this is clearly the fun section of a restaurant that takes itself quite seriously. There are ping pong tables. People dressed in the German women's soccer team.

There's a weird system of buying tickets to get beer and food but you can also got to the bar to buy stuff without tickets.

The food is not great but I don't think that's such a big deal. This is clearly about people who like beer and the friends they drag along. And the occasional person wanting to wear lederhosen.

I had chicken wurst, which was not the worst but leaning in that direction. I also had the curry wurst, which seemed like the chicken wurst with curry sauce. And mustard. You know, if you're serving sausage with copious curry sauce and grain mustard on the side, you're probably not a gastropub. Just saying.

Okay, there should be a whole section about the restrooms here. They are odd. The men's and women's restrooms are poorly marked sides divided by a large common area. The central area has sinks with missing knobs and my wife complained about no locks on the stalls.

But it was fun.

We attended the New York City Wine and Food Festival brunch with Geoffrey and Margaret Zakarian at the Standard in October. It was so nice. Great venue with all the amenities. Not too crowded. Excellent atmosphere. The mimosas and margaritas were perfectly mixed. We sampled many different bites, all of which were good. Quick walk to the High Line which is right there. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Great beer, food, service with tons of space, tables, games and other fun stuff to do. It’s even kid friendly if you come early. I real do love the atmosphere bring under the Highline. At night it can get crowded. Definitely check this place out. I love the pretzels and cheddar kurtwurst.

A biergarden in the middle of the city. Great outdoor seating. Very few draft selection though...I didn't try food, so I have no comment on that. It is a great meeting place for large groups. They take reservations.
