Stopped by for lunch today and ordered the regular platter with all the toppings. The place was clean and surprisingly empty, I was the only customer at the time, which made the experience calm and quick.

I was asked if I wanted sauce. I said yes. While I briefly looked around the shop behind me, I turned back to find the entire surface of the platter completely covered in sauce, to the point where I couldn’t even see the food anymore. When I reacted, the staff proudly said, “that’s the normal amount of sauce,” which honestly made me laugh.

Then came the follow-up question: BBQ and hot sauce? Of course I said yes. No one should ever refuse the original sauces , that part is sacred.

Overall, the meal was tasty and satisfying. That said, at $14, it felt a bit pricey compared to the old halal cart nights on 56th Street that used to run around $7. Times have definitely changed.

Still, solid flavor, clean spot, and a very… generous hand with the sauce.
