A solid brunch spot that actually delivers.<br><br>Found this place through some research and good reviews — glad we trusted them. Made a reservation but the place was pretty quiet and relaxed, which was a nice vibe.<br><br>We ordered avocado toast, pancakes to share, and I got the breakfast bowl.<br><br>The pancakes were the highlight — fluffy, not dry, genuinely tasty. The avocado toast was very generous, well put together. The breakfast bowl had a lot of flavor and I appreciated the originality, though probably not something I’d order again.<br><br>Overall a great experience, and what really stood out was the price point — very reasonable compared to other trendy spots. Generous portions, good food, great service. Would definitely recommend!

Really nice spot for brunch. The food was delicious, people were friendly. My avocado toast was really good. A group of people who were sitting next to me were telling the waiter how much they loved the salads here and that ever since they tried it they would bring their friends to Grey Dog and everyone always likes it. I’ll be back.

Great service, food, and decent coffee in Chelsea. Our hotel hosts recommended the Grey Dog for a breakfast with eggs. We couldn't have been more satisfied.<br><br>I shared a breakfast dish with an additional side of eggs and it was plenty for the two of us. We were looking for a typical american breakfast for our first morning in NYC and were surprise by delicious food and kind hosting from the local staff.<br><br>My wife asked me to say the peppermint tea was particularly good. She even brought some back home from the trip.

it's such a quirky and cute cozy place. We stumbled upon it while in Chelsea. I got the most perfect croissant breakfast sandwich. It was hearty and the fries were the best fries I've had in a long time. Nothing is wrong with this place

We had a great lunch at The Grey Dog Chelsea. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the Big House Burger were both delicious. The service was awesome as well. Definitely recommend!

I had a lovely breakfast at The Grey Dog. The avocado toast was excellent; hearty, flavorful bread, fresh avocado, perfectly poached eggs. The home fries were like mini French fries; I loved the sautéed onions and fresh cut scallion strips on top. Coffee is good and strong! The atmosphere is relaxed, like classic diner meets chic café. Service was welcoming and prompt; the food took a little while to come out but it was worth the wait.

This place is cute but the French toast is not worth almost 20 dollars, it tastes like sweet dry toasted bread and the kitchen forgot 2/3rds of the garnish. I’m all down for a quick fix so i asked for if the maple butter was on it already just in case, waitress said it normally comes with it but doesn’t have it on it and i said i think it’s also missing the mint- in which she replied the kitchen might be out yet my friends dishes had it so I said I think they do and she said “dO yOu wAnt tHe mInt”. tbh i just want my dish to have everything the menu said it would it’s not that complicated lol. With all the said my friends really enjoyed their food and the pancakes were delicious.

Our experience with the American breakfast was truly positive. We were looking for a place to enjoy pancakes, and despite the long lines at the more famous spots, we ended up at a lesser-known place that pleasantly surprised us. The pancakes were amazing—delicious, hearty, and plentiful, though I couldn’t finish them all. I also ordered an oat milk latte, which arrived promptly in a lovely glass. The atmosphere was perfect for a brunch, and we felt right at home. Additionally, I tried a delicious French toast, and the portions were generous with great value for the price

Not my first time at this chain and won’t be my last. Easy to get a res, lively crowd (tends to be mid-to-late 20s), and consistently good food at a decent price. The happy hour deal has many options for every vibe and it’s on every single day including Saturdays. I have gotten their Crispy Rice & Miso Glazed Tofu bowl multiple times and it hits every time. Enjoy!

Adorable little restaurant! Fun menu. Breakfast until late afternoon. Had an awesome server, Jessie. He was so friendly and fun!<br>Gluten free options weren't actually GF, due to no safe fryer, so be careful.

Had an amazing experience at The Grey Dog in Chelsea! The food was absolutely incredible every bite was delicious. On top of that, the accommodations for my pup were perfect, and I really appreciated how welcoming everyone was. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The service was top-notch, and I can’t wait to come back soon. Highly recommend!

The overall location and the ambiance/decor were great. The tight quarters along with their popularity made for a louder-than-desired stay.<br><br>The service, as mentioned, was stellar! We felt as if we had stepped back in time....when customer service was king!<br>The food was excellent and fun!<br><br>Though we know not everyone is drawn to the same things as others, and some might be concerned with my "atmosphere" comments, I would say... don't miss out on going here for breakfast, you will enjoy the pancakes!!

Quite a comforting spot to have a meal with a friend. I met up with my friends for dinner and I had the mac & cheese and she had the spinach and artichoke dip. The artwork around the walls and the old photos of gray dog were beautiful to see. The waiter was very accommodating and really friendly awesome spot.

We had visitors over Memorial Weekend. It was relatively easy to find a table for 5. The food was OK but not great. Maybe we did not order their best. I ordered the "Classic Omelette". It was OK. It came with home fries that were not so great. The "Latte" was really good. Others were OK with their order but no one shared great compliments about it.<br><br>The place had a really good crowd so, you might want to give it a try.

This is a fantastic place for brunch in Chelsea. The staff is very friendly and efficient, even if the place gets crowded. The food service is very quick too.<br><br>The atmosphere inside is nice and cozy. It's brilliant for having a nice meal with friends and family. There's music inside, so maybe not the best place for quiet conversations.<br><br>We ordered the burger, Mexican bowl, avocado toast and fried chicken with pancakes. The food was delicious, especially the oatmeal pancakes and Mexican bowl. The drinks were really refreshing, especially on a hot day.<br><br>Have absolutely no issues recommending this place.
