Food was good, hot and plentiful. Wait staff a bit pushy/impatient. Diner was not busy, so staff was over compensating.
Atmosphere was bright, clean.
Overall, it was a good experience.

The food was great and came soooo quickly which I appreciated! However the lumber jack came with scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes. They really need to add an extra egg. I think they only used 2 or 3 at most. Just add an extra egg and it would help. It wasn’t enough, I was done eating my eggs and still had a lot of pancakes and sausage left. Also the waiters are eager to clear my plate and drop off the check. Just wait a little. It’s not full in here so there no rush. It made me feel like I was being rushed when it’s a diner and I just want to leisurely take my time. Great food overall and will make my recommendations for the next time!

Welcoming atmosphere, the staff are so friendly. Had an omelette and toast for breakfast and it tasted great. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Great place for late night classic American meals. I generally have a lumberjack or a cheeseburger deluxe. Service is fast and friendly. Booths are not for folks who are larger than average (which is typical for most diners)

very friendly, but the food not very good. The healthy salad, with 2 kg of gelatin, peach in syrup and cream cheese is very colorful, but super caloric and sweet.
We will not repeat.

It's a diner, and they're open 24 hours. They are a reliable place to have a good meal. People are professionally courteous, I wouldn't say friendly. So as much as I've been here (weekly, for months) no one is trying to get to know me or anything. But they smile, serve and move onto the next customer.
I'll take reliable and clean over a friendly owner/ manager/ server.

This place offers a truly authentic American breakfast experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable morning. We chose omelets and pancakes, and both selections were excellent.

The service was impressively fast and well-organized, yet never rushed. The omelets were generously portioned, flavorful, and very satisfying—we honestly didn’t feel the need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. 😀 They were prepared perfectly and clearly made with care.

The pancakes were equally enjoyable: cooked to perfection, with a slightly crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. They were well-balanced in taste and texture and complemented the breakfast beautifully.

Another nice touch was the unlimited water service, which was offered without having to ask. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and smiling, which contributed greatly to the overall positive experience.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a hearty, high-quality American breakfast served with excellent hospitality.

Food sucks, not good. I had the Avocado toast, it was the worst
My husband got Reuben it was ok.
No clue why people give 4 to 5 stars. When restaurants have too many items in the menu, they can't focus on quality.
I would not call it avocado toast. You're supposed to put spices in the avocado and mix it very well. Almost like guacamole. Spread It evenly over the toast, so every single bite is enjoyable. This was pieces of avocado on toast. Hardly any avocado on the toast.

I love flame diner! I go here at least once a month to meet my sister for lunch and it such a warm, cosy and friendly spot. Even though it’s fairly close to Central Park (only a ~5 min walk), it is has a very local, classic diner feel. I love love love the chocolate chip pancakes, the BLT and especially the banana split.

Had to experience the breakfast in a diner while in New York. Bit expensive fat 18 dollars for the pancakes and bacon but get coffee refills and only pay for one coffees

I was a doctor appointment and was hungry after the visit. I found this location walking to the train station. It has a typical diner style. They also have a full bar at this diner. The location look clean. Serve was quick and the breakfast was good. I couldn't complain about anything.

Classic nyc diner open 24/7 which is increasingly rare in Manhattan. They have a well lit seating arrangement with plenty of booths. The counter itself also has a lot of space. The menu is huge with plenty of options. The Greek salad 🥗 and the deluxe burger were both delicious. Would love to come back for a late night fix ! Hope they continue on for many more years ! New Yorkers need places like this !
