Was my first time at the Bayside location and loved every minute of it. Food and service were impeccable (we had a ribeye steak and a branzino with lemon potatoes). Coby, our bartender was super friendly and attentive! Will be back for sure.

Came here for dinner after my graduation and had a wonderful experience! The head chef came around personally asking everyone how the food was, and he was very kind. After noticing my graduation stole, he and the staff surprised our table with dessert and a sparkler, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious, and the service made the night feel extra special 🙂
Octopus is amazing. Service can be better not bad but can be better. Needs a pick me up. Especially that bathroom area. Overall definitely going back for that swordfish with zucchini and eggplant chips. Gotta love there yogurt dip. 😋
The octopus was no joke omg. So so so good, maybe my fav octopus I’ve ever had. I wanted to try so many of the options!! But would definitely be back. Also really loved the hospitality and how welcoming all the staff were! Great place!!!
We recently had a family lunch here to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes without anyone coming over to offer water or acknowledge us. Meanwhile, a nearby table with White patrons was being promptly attended to, with all their requests met. Our toddler repeatedly asked for water, and we tried to get the server’s attention twice, but were completely ignored.

Only after we were visibly upset did a server finally come over to bring water, and even then the interaction felt rushed and careless. Throughout the meal, service was minimal, while the same server was noticeably attentive and friendly toward nearby tables.

We couldn’t help but feel that we were treated differently because of our race. As local residents who have visited before and consistently tipped generously, this was especially disheartening.

Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning for dine-in service.

By contrast, we visited another Greek restaurant in Astoria the next day, Bahari Estiatorio, where we felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable from start to finish. They thoughtfully brought our toddler a cup with a lid and straw, offered extra bread when they noticed how much our child enjoyed it, and even took the time to chat warmly with our family. The difference in hospitality was striking.
Beautiful restaurant with absolutely amazing service. The waitress we saw 1-2x, but the other wait staff they had (who refilled our drinks, brought out foods, got us boxes) were absolutely IMPECCABLE. I wish I had gotten the kind gentleman's name so I could call him out specifically, but he was an absolute gem and really made our experience top tier. He was attentive but not overbearing, we never waited longer han 3 minutes to have a plate removed, and he didn't make us feel bad for making him run back and forth to get us a few things we kept forgetting to ask for. His service specifically, was what made our experience so enjoyable so I hope he gets his kudos.

Food wise, we got the special branzino for $110, and the seafood platter for 2 $56 and some calamari. Calamari was huuuuuuge and very well worth it. The platter was okay (in general im not a seafood person so take that with a grain of salt) - best thing on there was the scallops, so buttery fresh! The special branzino was absolutely delicious. Lemon potatoes were the best sides, and I wish we had gotten the rice. The swiss chard and beets were very lightly seasoned, so good to get if you want something light for a side.
My friend and I went there just now for dinner. We order anchovies, fried calamari and Kyclades Special.

Anchovies, i like it, eventho i never tried anchovies that big, but its good. The fried calamari is good too, came with lemon and tomato sauces. The tomato sauces was really good, I even asked for one extra tomato sauce.

Kyclades Special basically some seafood with two sides. The sided we had was swiss chard and lemon roasted potatoes. I have to say the sides horrible, I just dont like it. Taste weird. The Kyclades I like most of them except the fish. The fish super bland. The stuffing clam, the lobster tail, etc they are good.

And then they gave us free dessert, I forgot what they called it, but I love it.

I love the vibes of the place, the white decorations just fit well.

Forgot to add. The beginning when my friend and I sat down, server asked what to drink, I told him I want water with ice. He pour me the water in to the glass, and said ice will be on the side. He never brings the ice until finally my friend reminds him. 😏
Loved this restaurant. very Accessible for a wheelchair user. Large area not cramped like the one in Astoria.Food was delicious as Always. My mom had the salmon steak that was very large and tasty. Lemon potatoes are great. I had baby shark that is also very tasty. Drinks are good but not very strong. sangria is tasty.
Taverna Kyklades is a go-to spot for incredibly fresh, simply grilled Greek seafood that lets the quality of the fish speak for itself. You can see and choose whole fish on display, and everything—from branzino to octopus—tastes clean, tender, and straight from the sea, without heavy sauces or gimmicks. It’s consistently earned high praise from Zagat, and once you taste the food, it’s easy to understand why.
The swordfish souvlaki and the shrimp santorini are excellent. They are always busy for dinner, so get there early. Service is fantastic. Usually a free dessert on the house.
harsh review from me because i got food poisoning after eating here. my main gripe is that the restaurant boasts seafood but their land entrees are way better. i’m assuming some of their seafood is not the freshest… their branzino was kind of mushy and tasteless, which leads me to believe it had been frozen for some time. i noticed far too late that our table was missing what i think was olive oil? i saw others using it to douse their fish but i didn’t have the opportunity. the grilled octopus was the only seafood dish i didn’t regret ordering.
Finally got around to trying Taverna Kyclades, and wasn't disappointed! Came late on a Friday night so we were able to be immediately seated. Ambiance is cozy, service was attentive and helpful with the menu breakdown. We ordered the grilled calamari (a must have, so tender and not at all salty ot heavy), the scallops (wonderful), and the rib eye (good but nothing spectacular), with sides of lemon potatoes and Swiss chard. Definitely a great authentic local Greek spot, and will be back!
We decided to make an order for pickup since it was thanksgiving eve. They absolutely blessed us. The portions were absolutely fantastic and the food was even better. This spot is genuinely such a gem and they treat their customers so well, you can tell that they care which is rare nowadays. We love you guys. Happy thanksgiving and thanks for a fantastic meal. ❤️❤️❤️ (the octopus literally made me dance like it’s so gooood)
A perfect 2nd location for an awesome restaurant, had a great lunch bar side with our server Colby. For starter the Octopus is insane, it’s a great delicious portion with a beautiful char and sauce to dip in. The lunch special is fantastic value, the Fried Whitings were incredible and probably my new favorite Fish and Chips! The top end has the perfect savory & crispy fry and stays hot and delicious all the way through. These paired with their great French Fry chips was a simple and unbeatable meal.
The swordfish was so delicious and the portions are humongous. We also got half a dozen of oysters that were so sweet and went so well with the sauces they provide. We had so much food to bring home, and on top of that they gave us free dessert!
