Tacombi NYC is such a cool spot 🌮🔥
Great vibe, fun atmosphere, and the food was seriously tasty. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and simple in the best way.

Loved the energy of the place — casual, lively, and very New York. Perfect for tacos, drinks, and hanging with friends.

Definitely coming back.
My Carne Asada taco was not great, pretty tasteless and the corn tortilla was overpowering. The horchata was also watery. Tres Leche was good, even though I didn’t like the poppyseeds. Altogether mediocre but the place is really nice!
They are quick, efficient, and unbelievable tacos. Didn’t have any expectations and I was blown away, they got us a table, our server was always there with a smile on his face and we were done within 30mins.
Would definitely go back again!
I wanted to come here for the fish Baja fish taco, but tried other things this time. I liked the crowd that was here. I felt the service was slow even at the bar. Baja fish taco is the best, chicken tinga was okay, the chicken was pretty dry. I got the spicy marg and hated it. Still waitng for my carne asada taco.

Hi Isabelle,

We are very sorry you had to wait longer than expected for your tacos. Our staff, both in the kitchen and the dining room, pride themselves in offering exceptional service and so it’s disappointing when we don’t meet our usual standards.
Hopefully you’ll give us another go and we promise we will make things right this time around!

Kindest Regards,
The Tacombi Bleecker team
The elote was DELICIOUS along w the crispy fish tacos. The service was so friendly and the restaurant has great atmosphere. Me and my girlfriend had great time here!
Overall, we had a very good experience!! The ingredients were fresh and everything was super flavorful.

Food-wise, the chicken taco was the best one, but be warned, it’s very spicy. The beef taco was also good and comes with a nice little juice on the side. The fish taco was a bit disappointing in taste. As for the quesadilla, it tasted good but didn’t feel worth the price compared to the tacos.

The dishes were spicier than we expected, so don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations if you’re not used to spicy food!

In terms of quantity, we’d recommend ordering about 3 items per person.

The atmosphere is incredible and very immersive, and the good heating was really appreciated during the cold winter. We also easily found a table for 5 people at 9:30 PM, which was a nice surprise.

Bonus: it’s located on Cornelia Street, so it’s a perfect stop for Swifties ✨
Stopped in on a whim, so glad I did. Great atmosphere, attentive and kind wait staff, and the food was so flavorful and balanced. These were the tacos I've been craving! I got to try a new soup as well which was perfect, warm flavors with chicken and lime. The salsas served on the side were so fresh with just the right amount of heat abs flavor
Quick simple service. Very fresh and tasty tacos!! We tried al pastor and fish! Definitely will be back for the breakfast burrito since they serve it all day!
Sub par street tacos that I feel are over twice the price they should be.. steak was on par with taco bell steak at best, al pastor was way to dry, the birria was just ok.. when you come from a place where you get legit amazing street tacos for a buck.. this was anything but that very disappointed I just can't get over it the most expensive and worst tacos ive ever had... why was is soo bad? Atmosphere was great and laid back service..
Service was swift. Food was good. Customer service was excellent.
We recently visited a Tacombi and it immediately stood out for its atmosphere. The decor felt like stepping onto a relaxed tropical beach with fun colors, and an easygoing vibe that made it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal. The environment was definitely the highlight.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the setting. The meat in the tacos was noticeably dry and overcooked, which made it tough and took away from what could’ve been great texture and flavor. The sauces were decent in that they added some taste and helped soften the dryness a little but they lacked depth and didn’t bring the bold, vibrant flavors you would hope to find in a great taco.

Service was friendly and polite, but on the minimal side. Everyone was nice, just not very attentive or present after the food arrived.

Overall, it’s a beautiful place with good energy, but the food needs improvement to match the atmosphere. With better-prepared meats and more flavorful sauces, it could easily become a standout spot. For now, it’s more of a place to enjoy the vibe than the tacos.
The whole place feels like a retro Mexican beach cantina: bright colors, hand-painted signs, green bottles, and super photogenic corners everywhere.

The fried fish taco was actually pretty good — crispy shell, fresh toppings, and a nice tangy sauce. The other tacos were just okay; a bit dry and under-seasoned for me.

Come here if you’re into the vibe. Worth it for some cute pics, a refreshing fish taco, and an easy summer lunch.
Tacombi is a vibrant Mexican taqueria chain that started on the beaches of the Yucatán in 2006.

Known for its authentic tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and refreshing drinks like watermelon juice and piña coladas, Tacombi offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

Their menu highlights include tacos al pastor, baja crispy fish tacos, and corn esquites. The tortillas are made fresh daily, preserving the traditional flavors of Mexico.

Tacombi has several locations in New York City, including spots in Nolita, Flatiron, and the Financial District. Each location maintains the same commitment to quality and authenticity, with friendly service and a casual dining experience.
Small focused menu, with every dish we had being awesome. The atmosphere is dark, as in lighting, and the seating is cramped on wobbly stools. But, a small price to pay for a great taco. The best 9ne was the shrimp cheese spectacular, wrapped in a layer of fried cheese. The seared fish was great, the chicken was OK. The bean and cheese burrito was great, stuffed with crunch from vegetables. Definitely get the chips and guacamole, freshly crushed. There are two salsas in plastic bottles on the table, the green one is yum!
