It’s as good as they say. Shakshuka with focaccia, impeccable. Pancakes are heavy and taste more like corn bread turnt cake.

Had such a lovely experience at Sunday In Brooklyn! Our waiter Nico was incredibly nice, attentive, and pleasant throughout the meal — he really made us feel welcome.

I tried the Salsiccia Spicy with tomato and feta cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. But the real standout was the focaccia… honestly something out of this world! Fresh, fluffy, and unforgettable.

The iced matcha latte was just okay compared to how amazing the food was, but overall it was still a wonderful dining experience. Would definitely come back!

Looking forward to returning to this restaurant I discovered during a trip to Brooklyn. Let’s begin with the fluffy Hazlenut Maple praline pancake, crispy edges and a rich brown butter topping, one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. My second favorite was the breakfast potatoes, which were crispy and perfectly seasoned. I also enjoyed the mushrooms toast. I tried the smores coffee, which was good.

No parking, limited seating, maybe a wait I think we just got lucky, plenty vegetarian options

Had a wonderful lunch with my son who has eaten there before, first time for me. I ordered a egg dish, scrambled with bacon and more. A big portion, which I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious! The waiter Nico was very courteous and nice. Loved the atmosphere, it was perfect!

I wasn’t a fan of the pancakes. They were a bit dense for me. Nor did I care for the sausage (pork or chicken). They seemed to have no flavor. They have slot of fun items on the menu. My bf got the s'more latte. I am not a fan of coffee bevy's, but he didn’t enjoy that either. I loved the orange juice, french toast bits, and hash browns. I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

We never stepped inside so I am unsure of the vibe inside, but there were a group of girls that looked like they just had a birthday brunch.

Response from the owner

Perfect spot to come to after spending time at Domino Park. The service was top notch and the food and ambience were stellar. The dinner menu is broad but not to the point where you're struggling to decide what to eat. My BF had the salmon (which was cooked to perfection) and I had the ribs with potato salad and this delish coleslaw salad. The Carolina boy in me was extremely satisfied.

I'm looking forward to coming back later in the next few months to try their brunch!

I had a great experience at Sunday in Brooklyn overall. The food was excellent—everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. Our waiter was also very attentive and provided great service, which definitely made the experience even better.

The only downside was the seating situation. We had to sit outside because there was no availability indoors, and it was pretty cold, which took away from the overall comfort of the meal. It was also quite crowded, so I understand why indoor seating wasn’t an option, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning to visit.

Overall, I’d still recommend it for the food and service—just try to reserve ahead or go at a less busy time if you want to sit inside

I had a really nice experience at Sunday in Brooklyn. The space has a cute, cozy ambiance that feels warm and inviting. It’s perfect for a casual brunch or lunch with friends. The overall vibe is relaxed but still stylish, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your meal. The customer service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. For my meal, I ordered the warm grain bowl with grilled chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s one of those dishes that feels both hearty and wholesome at the same time. My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which she really found flavorful and satisfying. However, she did substitute the fries for a side salad and was disappointed with that choice. The salad was extremely minimal; it was literally just a few pieces of romaine lettuce (included a photo), which didn’t feel like an even trade for fries. Overall, Sunday in Brooklyn delivers on ambiance, service, and quality food, but I’d recommend sticking with the standard sides or asking more questions about substitutions. I’d definitely go back for that grain bowl and to try the famous pancakes that looked amazing on the surrounding tables.

I kept seeing this restaurant all over social media, and those pancakes looked so good I wanted to try them. The reviews were glowing, so I came in excited but unfortunately, it missed the mark for me.

The “pancakes” was more a small jiffy cornbread with hazelnut sauce than actual pancakes, which was disappointing because I came in with a serious pancake craving. My zero‑proof margarita tasted like pickle juice, and I really tried to push through it, but the taste just wasn’t for me. The hot chocolate was made with dark chocolate, so it had that unsweetened, bitter taste and my niece wasn’t a fan either.

Now, the star of the table was my niece’s chicken sandwich and fries: Delicious! Crispy! Perfectly seasoned! But I didn’t come to brunch for chicken and fries...I came for the pancakes, and that’s where the letdown really was.

On the bright side, the service was great. Our waitress was lovely, and the staff overall was respectful and attentive. I’m genuinely glad I got to try the place and see what the hype was about, but it’s probably not somewhere I’d return to.

Sunday in Brooklyn is an easy 5-star experience. The food is absolutely delicious, with a real focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients that you can taste in every bite. The pancakes were a standout — truly amazing and worth going back for on their own. The staff were also very nice and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

What a great spot!! We came here for a lovely dinner that most certainly did NOT disappoint!

Sunday in Brooklyn is a delightful little corner spot that seems small initially, but actually has plenty of seating throughout - including in an upstairs space.
Regardless, we were promptly seated (without a reservation) in a table downstairs, and had very friendly, hospitable service throughout our visit.

While dining, we ordered a few of the cocktails, and I found each one I tried to be a good amount of strength while also creative in the flavors and heat.
My personal favorite was the Ski Lift, which is a hot cocktail with bourbon, coffee, and other ingredients - soooo soothing, STRONG, and flavorful!

Now on to main event - the food!
My wood-fired lasagna was INCREDIBLE - so much flavor, texture, and uniqueness to each bite.
My partner's chicken pot pie was similarly unique and yet familiar in its excellent textures and taste!

Sunday in Brooklyn had a wonderful ambiance, lovely food, and great service - I highly recommend!

We love pancakes, and made brunch reservations on a Monday around 1pm and were seated immediately. I was surprised by how busy it was for a Monday, it’s clearly a neighborhood favorite.

We came for the pancakes and shared a double stack of the Sunday Pancakes and the egg and cheese sandwich. Both were great choices. The pancakes had a lovely balance of nutty and sweet with a soft, fluffy texture (the edges were crispy which I appreciate). The egg sandwich stood out for the crispy hash brown, soft egg although personally, I would’ve preferred a softer bun like brioche over sourdough.

Next time, we’ll definitely do a single stack and a sandwich to share, or a double stack and skip the sandwich. Bonus: they make a really good s’mores latte.

Our server was great but they could have been more intentional with the order in which dishes arrived at the table however this is on our list of favorite pancake spots. I definitely recommend.

Response from the owner

The food was a bit hit-or-miss. The burger was good, but the fries were overly salty. I felt pretty indifferent about the pancake, and the French toast wasn’t great. Both the latte and coffee were served lukewarm, which was disappointing. That said, the service really stood out our party arrived late for our reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. Server was great. The inside was also nicely decorated for the holidays, creating a warm atmosphere.

Overall, I wouldn’t be reluctant to go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice either.

I really wish we could give 1/2 stars. Food was more of a 3.5.

Response from the owner

Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!).

Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious.

Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch.

Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in
