Love this park. Really cool spot to chill in near 14th street East side. On other side of street is a dog park too. Spacious. Have a book cupboard. Water fountain that worked for bottle refills. Next to Quaker church, St. George Calvary church. A bit busy in the day time with kids from the school playing. Came here to see a movie in the park sponsored by the city. Was Swedish with no subtitles. Really? Ugh. But there was no pot smokers at least. Fairly a quiet, comfortable place to relax. Picnic benches now. Are those new?

Great dog park with hoses, cute non aggressive dogs, and a water bubbler outside. No bathroom for humans.
Stuyvesant Square Park is a very clean and peaceful place to relax. There's a beautiful statue in the center, and the mature trees provide plenty of shade. It's a great spot for history buffs and those looking to escape the city's hustle
Beautiful park adjacent to Rutherford Place. Note the statue of Peter Stuyvesant (c. 1610-1672), director-general of New Netherland from 1647 to 1664, on the west side of the park. The park is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, especially on the west side, including J.P. Morgan's parrish church (St. George's Episcopal Church).
i spent a lot of time sitting here. this park is nice because you get a lot more peace and quiet here. like it’s more private, just you and the baby rats <3
Went on a weekend and had a really relaxing time. It’s a small, calm park with plenty of greenery—nice for a short walk or just sitting and taking a breather. We found a quiet spot, watched the fountain and people go by, sipped coffee, and caught up without the city rush. Great for a quick break between errands or an unhurried stroll. The space feels compact and cozy, like a little island of calm in the city. We’ll happily come back whenever we need to reset and spend an hour or two outdoors.
Nice public park small enough to wander through in 10 minutes or relax. Spotted a black squirrel unique to NYC. Kinda quiet on a weekend afternoon maybe because there was homeless people staying there and heavy scents of “pot” smoking in the air?
The park appears prettier from the outside when walking along the street. However within the park is very underwhelming. The park could clearly be managed better with proper litter removal & upkeep.
Stuyvesant Square Park held an afternoon of jazz with Alex Nguyen and Friends. Located on Second Avenue and 17th Street, this park is perfect for listening to music and picnics. Last summer I was here early Sunday evenings and so I and three friends had an enjoyable time.
Peaceful and beautiful. Protect our parks and please help keep it clean.
I really love Stuyvesant Park. It is a beautiful little oasis of nature in the East Village. It is definitely a community space. It is a wonderful place to relax, chill with friends or have a picnic and it's quiet enough to meditate or read a book.

This is one of my favorite parks and whether you are walking your dog or jogging... this is truly an all season park for everyone.
An incredible enclave of peace and tranquillity. Two parks next to each other each with a distinct feeling. One with a statue of former Gov of the Dutch Colony Peter Stuyvesant— for who the park is named (give him a search, a very interesting character). Events pop up in the park including music, stargazing, and dancing. Tables are on the west side version to sit and eat or play a card game. Overall one of my favorite places to be in nyc.
I'm glad for this park .Clean and medium size park .I find it perfect to get a fresh air or read your book or a just to relaxing . It's kids friendly and lot of greenery. People are friendly and quiet. Statue a Peter Stuyvesant director- general .
I recommend it to anyone who want a quite time or a break in the middle of a busy day of work.
The only need a public restroom…
I like this park a lot more after I came across a very unique tree that has small bright pink flowers growing all over its branches and trunk in early May. MUST SEE!
Nice, clean location. During warmer months, the flowers bloom and there are squirrels, birds, and dogs getting taken on a walk by their owners. It's a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. Good for children, too. It's a pretty small area, and feels like a small park.
