Came in for a quick cup after landing and finding our lodgings. The service was as quick as the baristas were positively congenial! Made two So.QRs feel at home and wished me happy bday! Oh and the Coffe was DELICIOUS! Smooth, warm and the specialty flavors were there with out being saccharine

Came here after grabbing lunch to drink an americano and wait to check into my hotel! Very relaxing and a great place to go chill and wait or study

Have been coming for more than 15 years. Consistent and delicious espresso coffee from Portland. My go-to order is small flat white. One of the most reliable coffees in New York City

Anna and Salem we're amazing, I'm a newbie in coffee but ended enjoying a delicious espresso. The passion and menu knowledge they showed inspired me to try their Black sesame matcha that was also delicious and perfectly balanced. Will def be back!!!

Banana bread and flat white + latte. Kinda packed at 10am on weekday but fast. Good coffee and bread is very sweet but balances well with coffee. 10% off if you are staying at Ace Hotel

This is hands down the best Stumptown out of the three in NYC. Sure, the other two may have better locations, but the baristas here truly know their craft—super knowledgeable, friendly, and consistent. Every cup I’ve had here has been flavorful and perfectly balanced. That’s why this is my favorite spot of the three.

Ace Hotel is a great spot to relax after running errands. But I find it crowded and dark. I guess most people miss this adorable coffee establishment. Stumptown is connected to the Ace Hotel. However, the coffee is much better. Matcha lattes are surprisingly good. They also provide adorable totes and coffee cups for sale.

One of the best lattes I've had; temperature, taste and texture perfectly balanced. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. If you buy any bean you get a drip coffee on the house, nice detail!

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only.

By 2050, we will have more plastic in the ocean than fish. While I so appreciate that your shop offers real reusable mugs, I was saddened to see how unclear that option is for customers who are enjoying their coffee in-house.

I wonder if there are ways you can better communicate the availability of reusables to folks who are buying coffee to stay here.

Maybe that means putting a sign at the cash register, or maybe that means incorporating an explicit ask from your baristas.

But it feels such a shame to see all of these coffees getting enjoyed in-house, and then see these cups get discarded right into the trash after 30 minutes of use, to head straight to a landfill, the oceans, or incinerator, and ultimately as micro plastics in our bodies.

The plastic waste crisis will need both the consumer and the provider to help lessen its impact. Thank you for considering my note and for empowering New Yorkers to be better to our local ecosystem and our global ecosystem.

To those reading this: you can get a mug at the shop by explicitly asking for one.

Interesting place connected to the Ace Hotel. Order your beverage and relax in the lobby. Filled with antiques, smooth music on the speakers.
The rose honey coffee was a bit too sweet, the matcha tea is creamy and delicious.

Great espresso and nice shop. The blueberry muffin was delicious. A wider pastry/small bites selection would really make this little shop perfect

Another great Stumptown location, I’m a big fan of their coffee anywhere. This particular spot is conveniently located near Madison Square Park off Broadway. The shop has some space inside to sit along the window but is mostly a grab and go location.

The line wasn’t too bad and I got my drip coffee quickly. The prices here to me are very reasonable and the sizes great.

Stumptown coffee blends are always a hit and getting it straight from the source tastes extra delicious in the mornings!

I was excited to go here since I do at times purchase Stumptown coffee from safeway grocery store in various states.. I actually did not know they had actual coffee shops in NYC.. the coffee was, as expected, very good but the service was at best mediocre. The person at the front, though was pleasant, she was busy conversing with her colleague and more preoccupied with it than customer service. Small store but overall clean and nice.

Wow! Seen these roasters in some of my favorite coffee shops and even making blends for other shops I enjoy. But didn’t know they had their own and own storefront right here in Manhattan! The ambiance is cool with old NY diner vibes. The coffee was delicious 😋 ☕️ really had a nice cup when I went. They won’t do pour over for darker roasts which was a bummer but the service was great. Friendly, attentive and kind. Definitely stop in here for your next cup and enjoy some of the best coffee around!
