Pretty much has everything you need. Super busy store. Parking lot a plus. You can order online and they'll bring your order to your car. Good selection of multicultural groceries.

The large supermarket is located in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. They have free parking and an additional parking lot. The store has early and late hours. They have a bakery, pharmacy, meat and deli departments. The various departments have different hours that should all be posted on the website and in the front of the store. Limited selection of salads in the produce department. The drink aisle did not have my preferred iced tea. The appetizer department was only slicing cold cuts and no hot or cold options for each customer. Several limited pre-packaged choices were available. Several times during my time at the store a "mechanical robot" was following me and I assume for security purposes. I did not feel this was necessary and made me feel uncomfortable. The checkout at approximately 9:00 PM was crowded with not enough cashiers. The self-checkout was also busy. The cashier that I had was friendly and helpful.
I’m a delivery driver (Uber), and this is my third time picking up from the Stop & Shop delivery section and . I understand they usually have a lot of orders and only 3–4 people working, and I have no problem waiting when they’re busy. But the attitude and communication from the staff are consistently terrible.
Every time I ask about my order, they say nothing except “we’re working on it.” No updates, no approximate wait time, nothing. Today I waited 35 minutes. When the fourth worker came out, I asked again how much longer it would be. He finally told me my order was 8 out of 9, meaning I still had a long wait. If they had simply told me that earlier, I wouldn’t have wasted all that time. I ended up cancelling the order.
I’m not asking for special treatment — just basic communication and respect. A simple estimate like “10 minutes,” “20 minutes,” or “it might take a while” would make a huge difference. The lack of communication and attitude needs improvement.
Parking lot too small, couldn't find a working shopping cart, ones you did find the wheels were locked up. Produce wasn't all that fresh, it's really hit and miss. Digital coupons didn't work properly. Had to go back to long customer service desk to adjust price.
They keep frozen food in the refrigerated section instead of the freezer. This is absolutely lazy and careless. It’s also marked as deli meat, which it’s not and shouldn’t have mold on it. This is due to poor temperature control.
The chain itself isn't bad, but this specific location—the only one in all of New York—does not provide Wi-Fi💩💩💩; it hasn't been working there for a very long time, and inside the building, mobile data coverage is absolutely terrible! I strongly recommend that all delivery drivers block this store in their DoorDash, Uber, and Instacart apps to avoid receiving orders from it—unless, of course, the store management reconsiders its policy regarding the provision of Wi-Fi.
I did an online order for today. It was confirmed on Friday. Was supposed to be 10 to 11am. Two o'clock and no delivery. Called up and kept getting the runaround from the first person.
Finally, received some answers at 2:30pm!

This is unprofessional and disgusting treatment of a customer! When we had Covid, stop and shop needed our business. Now, since people are shopping in the store I guess those who still need delivery service don't matter.

To be told they haven't packed your order and it's past the time scheduled is ridiculous!

Then they canceled the order without my permission. They said door dash canceled it. Without my permission!

I order through stop and shop, so They are responsible!
This passing of the buck is nonsense!

What kind of b.s. is this? Poor customer service Terrible organization when it comes to delivery, and overall, a huge fail. Do not use door dash and allow them to cancel an order without permission!

They wouldn't send our order saying they now have no availability until Tuesday, when we chose today at 10am to 11am!

If i could do a negative zero I would.

Do online delivery at your own risk as they don't care since they don't need delivery customers anymore!!!

We will Not be using them again!
They always have lines .. have a ton of registers but never even have them all open. Then once they are done ringing you up they stare at you like you’re a bother because they don’t bag groceries. They’ll sit there and check their phones at starting running up the next person as you struggle to bag your own items. Not worth it. Cashier experience is horrible!
This Stop & Shop on Avenue Y feels like a straightforward neighborhood supermarket built around routine and convenience. It’s not trying to stand out — it’s simply there for everyday shopping in a busy part of South Brooklyn.
Inside, the store is well-organized and predictable. Groceries, produce, bakery items, frozen food, and household basics are easy to find. The selection covers daily needs without surprises, making it a practical place for regular shopping trips 🛒.
The store gets busy at peak hours, especially with locals stopping by after work or on weekends. Parking around the area can be tight, but once inside, the shopping experience itself is smooth and efficient.
This Stop & Shop isn’t about atmosphere or discovery.
It’s about reliability, consistency, and getting your groceries done without complications — a solid, everyday supermarket for the neighborhood.
Dear Customer Service,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the efficiency of the checkout process in your store. During peak hours, I have consistently observed that a significant number of cash registers are not operational, leading to lengthy queues and extended wait times for customers. Additionally, I have noticed that cashiers often engage in personal conversations with one another, which further slows down the checkout process. I

I hope you will take my feedback into consideration and implement measures to improve the shopping experience for your customers.

Sincerely,Gennady
Amazing deals and great store watermelon is freshly cut and very sweet lettuce 2.99 other stores 4.99 or 5.99 got chicken was 4$ usually everywhere else it’s 6 got parchment paper 2 packs was 5$ usually one pack is 5$ great deals my favorite spot to shop thank you keep up the savings 🙏🏼
This Stop & Shop is spacious with product options and variety. The bakery attendants seem to never be available. The meat department was cooking some food that aroma permeated the whole store. With various diet considerations, the smell of meat is not desirable to all. Perhaps better ventilation will help regulate the meaty scent. The restrooms are dirty which is quite a concern for staff working around food. Health and safety needs improvement at this location. Also, there is a markdown food section right in from of the bathroom. Food for consumption directly in front of the dirty bathroom is GROSS!

There were not enough cashiers to check customers out. Several of the self-checkout machines were out of service. The self-checkout line also needs an attendant to direct the lines similar to Trader Joe’s, or clearly mark where the self-checkout line starts.
Very large supermarket. Parking lot is a challenge. Very tight. Store tends to get messy and is very busy at almost all times. Checkout is always a mess, despite several self-checkouts terminals. Many long, well lighted aisles. Huge fruit and vegetable department as soon as you enter. Two sloppy bathrooms in the rear. Pharmacy department up front. Not my favorite location.
It's good to have a big supermarket around the neighborhood. It has a huge selection of items to choose from. However, the organic produce section is not as fresh as it should be.

They offer many sales items each week. There is a lack of shopping cart during the weekend, and some of the wheels of the cart get stuck with a magnetic lock. Wish they could fix it.

Tried the Scan It! Scanner. It is good to use it as a price checker or someone who purchases many items.
Pretty clean supermarket. Huge variety of different items from all over the world. Fancy of Asian, Latin, America, Caribbean, kosher, and European foods. Lots of varieties for baking, cooking, and cleaning. Prices are decent. You must download the app for coupons savings. There is ample parking.
