I love Greek food and this place doesn't disappoint. Located on 55th near 7th Avenue, you need to make a reservation before you go as it is a small place. I had chicken skewers with pita bread and lentil soup. You can also get Souvlaki in a pita as well as pork kebab. No lamb kebab though but they did serve Lamb Chops which also looked very good. Service is very fast too. Prices very reasonable.
Souvlaki is always a 10/10. Salads, skewers, pita pizzas, drinks. Everything spectacular with great flavor. Fresh veggies. Definitely try it out if you love med food.
I've heard great thinks about this place from coworkers. I was not disappointed! The restaurant space is cute. The hostess was cheerful and helpful with finding my takeout order. The chicken soulaki pita was delicious as well as the loukoumades. Everything was fresh, the price was very reasonable for such high quality food. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a true Greek experience without being there. :)
Yes, I ordered the lambchops ❤️ and they were tender, juicy and done just right. Baklava for dessert. I can definitely recommend.
With the feel of a quiet Greek village cafe, the midtown west location was my first stop after nearly 12 hours of traveling - and so amazingly worth it. Huge menu, gluten free options labeled, wines only from Greece and just brilliant. I had the salmon kebab special with a side of olives and a glass of wine. And that fueled me until a late dinner. Cannot wait to go back this trip and put it on my regular visit list.

**wish I’d taken photos to share
It was the perfect spot, we sat by the window and it was super cozy. Reasonably priced, FAST, and great service. Christos was from Greece and very attentive and kind, explained the menu to us Americans.
The experience was wonderful! After a long day of walking we were hoping to enjoy a taste of home.
As we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with open arms, and the exquisite scenery (as if we were really in Greece!). The food was absolutely delicious! The souvlaki was tender and the salad tasted like a home away from home. For desert, the baklava was sweet and flavourful, and the loukoumades were extremely well made. I cannot be further excited for our next trip to New York City and to be able to experience this truly authentic Greek experience again!
My partner and I visited for lunch and it was the perfect spot. Our waiter Paul was spectacular at recommending plates for a light lunch. We had two skewers each as an entree paired with the Houmouli cheese. Our meal was simply divine. I had the Greek mule which is hands down the best Moscow mule I have ever had. The atmosphere was perfect for a lunch spot and the service was quick and pleasant. We look forward to returning soon
My sister and I went here for lunch. I’ve traveled to Greece and Turkey before and love Mediterranean food. This place was delicious and the prices were super reasonable.

We went during lunch so it was packed but we got seated right away and our food came out quickly. If you have a large group I would recommend getting reservations since it’s small inside.

I’m not from NYC but I would come here again. All the staff are friendly and the food tasty!
This is our second time at Souvlaki GR Midtown. The service is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and our meals were delicious! We would highly recommend dining here!
We had a fantastic experience at Souvlaki GR – Midtown! The food was absolutely amazing — we ordered the Psita Tis Oras Poikilia (grilled meat platter for two) with lamb chops and traditional Greek sausage, and every bite was flavorful and authentic. The white wine paired perfectly with the meal.

The staff was super courteous, service was fast, and the Mediterranean music added a lovely vibe. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather, which made the experience even better. Felt like a quick trip to Greece right in the heart of NYC. Highly recommend!
The place is small, and you should definitely make a reservation if you want to be sure to get a table. It's beautifully decorated, and every detail is designed to make you feel like you're on a Greek island. The menu is varied and delicious. I ordered the classic moussaka, and my companion had the souvlaki with fries. The lamb souvlaki was good—the best part was that it had nice, tender, and flavorful chunks of meat. My dish looked small when it arrived, but I could barely finish it. So delicious! I would definitely go back.
I got the Bifteki (burger on a stick) and Kotopoulo Bifteki (ground chicken on a stick) and the chicken was better than the beef. I didn't care much for the beef. Our server was excellent, great attitude and friendly. The tsipouro at the end of the meal was really good, and I don't like most alcoholic beverages. Traditionally, it is infused with anise, which is similar to black licorice which I don't like. I was surprised at how good this tasted; it was slightly sweet.
We couldn't leave NY without having some Greek food and Souvlaki was the perfect option! We went to the 116 Stanton St location on a Sunday night and it was perfect. The atmosphere is inviting and easy on the eye. The food was amazing and the service was absolutely fantastic. Our server was attentive with all the people at the restaurant that night and even helped us with our Greek pronunciation of dishes.

Our food was well seasoned and tasted like love - we'll definitely be back!
