We visited after watching the Bon Appétit video on YouTube and hearing that Soothr is a Michelin Guide restaurant, and it absolutely lived up to the acclaim. Everything we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly deserving of all the praise. My favorites were the Khao Soi with Fried Prawn and the Pad Thai — some of the best Thai food you’ll eat. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in NYC.

The food was delicious, and both the food and service were excellent. Gam and TK were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive waitresses who made our experience even more enjoyable. We had the Khao Soi Chicken and the Lychee Sorbet, both of which were outstanding. We would definitely come back again
Amazing food!! Service was so good and quick. We walked in without a reservation and seated immediately (party of 3). Yaya was our waitress and was very attentive - quick to take our order and consistently refilling our water without asking. Super kind and checked in about allergies as well. Food was yummy, overall a great experience!
Response from the owner
thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️
Excellent authentic Thai boat noodle soup with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Will definitely return.
Absolutely incredible restaurant. Service from start to finish was incredible and TK made our experience so special with a birthday card, shot, and her amazing dinner recommendations. I will dream of this meal again! We got the Moo Dang Puff, Soothe Jeeb Dumpling, and Khai Soi with Pork Belly
The service is impeccable and the drink menu is super creative! All of their cocktails are inspired by different gemstones. I recommend trying the Citrine cocktail if you like tequila. The food was absolutely delicious and I was lucky that my friends and I all got different dishes so we could try more from the menu. I highly recommend the Khao Soi Chicken and the Duck Noodles.
Wonderful food. Ordered the Thai iced coffee, Oyster Chuchee, Yum Nuer, Massaman Stewed Beef, and the Mango Sticky Rice. Everything was better than I could’ve expected. We had Emily as our server and she was very nice and gave us some great recommendations.
Response from the owner
Thank you, Aneesa, for the wonderful review and for trying so many of our dishes. We’re delighted Emily took great care of you and that the Thai iced coffee, Oyster Chuchee, Yum Nuer, Massaman Stewed Beef, and Mango Sticky Rice exceeded your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Wowzers. Everything was so tasty. You have order at least the hoi johr as a starter, perfect little fried dumplings. I had not heard of koong karee and several reviewers said it was a must try. They are not wrong, such a unique dish. And I can’t believe I haven’t tried Khao soi before, I’m not sure how that happened. But damn, we were scraping the bowl at the end. My only knock against Soothr is that the tables are really packed in, I couldn’t turn in my seat without bumping someone and it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other well. It’s not a place you go for a quiet, relaxing meal. But in the end, the food is so good it carries the score. Is Soothr the best Thai in NYC? I think so.
Response from the owner
Thank you, Jerry, for your glowing review and for highlighting the hoi johr, koong karee, and khao soi — we are thrilled they hit the mark for you. We appreciate your feedback about the crowded seating and noise and will share your comments with the team as we continually work to improve the guest experience.
What an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything from the service to the food to the overall vibe, felt truly top notch.

You could immediately feel the warmth and genuine enthusiasm from the entire team. Even without a reservation, the host went out of their way to get us seated at the bar within 20 minutes, which we really appreciated. Our servers, Ace and Tang, were just as welcoming, friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do.

The food was outstanding, rich in flavor and impressively authentic. It’s honestly no surprise they’ve been on the Michelin Guide since 2021.

And I have to mention the cocktails they were just as memorable. Sitting at the bar turned out to be such a treat, getting to watch the bartenders work their magic added a whole extra layer to the experience.

Already looking forward to coming back!

Had a great experience at Soothr today! Jesse provided excellent service, she was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The crab roe curry noodles (Karee Pu Noodles) were absolutely delicious, rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. The food came out quickly, and the overall service was efficient and very nice. Definitely would come back again!
Response from the owner
Thank you, Ziyue Zheng, for your wonderful review and for recognizing Jesse's attentive, friendly service. We’re delighted you enjoyed the crab roe curry noodles and that the food and service met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back to Soothr soon.
I was in town for the weekend and couldn't wait to co to Soothr because of their reputation. I was starting to get packed and it was tight. It was like a Thai-Chinatown (Yaowarat) vibe. We were given an hour and a half time limit which is normal but I feel like we were being rushed.
Started off with drinks, I wasn't a fan of my cocktail. Duck egg rolls had more wood ear mushrooms than duck. I was excited about Karee Pu (crab curry) the texture of the noodles were great. The curry was extra thick and had a strong cumin taste to it, we weren't a fan. We also got the duck noodles, once again the noodles were great. The duck was cooked perfectly but the gravy was so sweet and that was it, sweet. I love Thai food because of the mix of flavors, sweet, spicy, sour, salty, but this place didn't do it for us. I really wanted to like it but we were pretty underwhelmed.
We always go with no reservation, wait about 20-30 mins around the neighborhood and get seated!

We love this restaurant so much, the food, the service, the atmosphere (and music). Its a really fun experience :-)

My favorite dishes are the Yum Nuer (this is actually an appetizer), Karee Pu Noodles, and the Beef and Vegetable Masamun Curry. As someone who cant handle spicy too well, these dishes are perfect.

I guess the only thing to note is that there arent many non-spicy options for those who dont like or cant have spicy!
Response from the owner

Had a delicious meal! We ordered the Woonsen tiger prawn, Boon Fai Dang, and Panang Duck Lychee and the flavors were incredible. We were served by Gabby who was very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was busy for Valentine's Day but we were not rushed and had excellent service throughout our meal.

Been wanting to come here since walking by seeing how it was always busy throughout the week. Finally made a reservation and went to dine in for a date night and we really enjoyed the food! I had the Duck noodles which was sweet and savory. My husband had the braised beef with chili and garlic, that was very flavorful and so tender. Also had the amethyst drink which was really good! Last we tried their mango sherbet with sticky rice desert, so good with mango and coconut flavors. Everything was delicious! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back here.

5 stars all around! This restaurant is a gem. We tried the Thai tea, fried branzino, shrimp curry, and tom yum seafood hotpot, and every single thing was delicious and fresh. The branzino was a particular standout – so crispy and flavorful.

A special shout-out to our server, Gavin!
He was so welcoming from the moment we sat down. His big smile and friendly, helpful attitude made our dinner so enjoyable.
We’ll be back soon
