10/10 experience with the best view of Manhattan.. definitely recommend if you are in the western Jersey area, request Nay C. As your server, sit outside and enjoy amazing service, delicious drinks and the most beautiful view!!!

Our first time at this restaurant and yes, the views are amazing, the food was superb, but what really made our visit memorable was Omar! He quickly made a connection with us and made us feel like long lost family. It’s this feeling that makes me want to go back.<br><br>I hope they know what a gem they have in Omar. It’s hard to find people who are in this industry and actually love what they do.

I visit this place frequently on weekends, but today was my first time visiting on a weekday.<br>I loved the food and the drinks, but the service was truly excellent. Jose was incredibly kind — we asked to change tables and he handled it so politely and with such a great attitude. He was very attentive the entire time.<br>My husband and I will definitely make sure he takes care of us again when we return. I absolutely love going to a place and finding such amazing service.

Deliciousssss ……. This is my second time here and I have to say again I was so overwhelm with joy. This time I had the paella for two. My wife and I split this dish. Everything was on point.<br><br>My friend had the pernil. De looks delicious delicious so aaas the coconut margaritas.<br><br>We also had the flan for dessert, and man oh man was I in heaven. That flan was cooked to perfection. It had the perfect amount of sugar and eggs. The plating was amazing and staff was so welcoming.<br><br>Thank you

EXCEEDING ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS!!!<br><br>The original plan my boyfriend made for our anniversary was to go to chart house. However, we were denied our reservation because we exceeded their 15 minute grace period and management THERE was not accommodating or caring. We felt unwelcome there.<br><br>SO WE CAME TO SON CUBANO INSTEAD!!!<br>(BEST CHOICE BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!)<br><br>We were greeted with AMAZING hospitality.<br>It was our anniversary dinner and they made us feel loved and special.<br><br>We were sat by the window, welcomed with a celebratory glass of Champaign and we were treated with the utmost respect.<br><br>The drinks, food, service, music, environment was phenomenal. I am so happy that charthouse denied us entry because we were so blessed to receive the service that we did at Son Cubano!!<br><br>Thank you to the staff, the bartenders, the waitress, host and management here!<br><br>You guys truly made our anniversary a day worth remembering.<br><br>What a day to remember, thank you!!

My first visit to Son Cubano was at the NYC Meat Packing location- but when I heard of their beautiful waterfront location and the same delicious food I couldn’t wait to go back. It was amazing!<br><br>Then I decided to throw a surprise birthday for my aunt. Amy Ortiz the event manager and her large party team were so communicative, detail oriented, gave me great options and most of all their team greeted my family with such love and care.<br><br>Richelle, our lead server deserves a raise. She was funny, kind and accommodating. Thank you to the whole team - I am definitely trying to find another reason the celebrate their again.<br><br>Thank you all so much! Every morsel was delicious!

The interior of the restaurant itself is beautiful. The view of the city is gorgeous. However, we encountered many issues with the rest…<br><br>SERVICE<br><br>My biggest issue is the service. Horrendous! Our waiter, I believe his name was Frank? Scrawny balding man with glasses. Incredibly rude and had a serious attitude problem. He acted like he was doing us a favor and rarely came by the table. Then had the audacity to be annoyed when we called the manager because of his behavior. Turns out the manager was just as dismissive.<br><br>FOOD<br><br>I did not enjoy any of the fried food here. The Frito Mixto was greasy and flavorless. The Crispy Chicharron was over zealously salted and also very greasy.<br><br>Mind you, we asked Frank for a ceviche recommendation between the Frito Mixto & Citrus Ceviche Mixto. He recommended the fried seafood mix- without explaining it was a fried seafood mix. Even though we do not speak spanish, and stated we wanted ceviche. He then got annoyed when the order came and we pointed this out.<br><br>A highlight of the night was the Chipotle Ceaser Salad because it was so delicious! We ended up getting two orders. The dressing was creamy, mildly spicy and very flavorful.<br><br>The Guacamole was citrusy, and the plantain chips were perfectly crisp.<br><br>The seafood dishes were the best choice! The oysters were very fresh- tasted sweet with a hint of umami. The Citrus Ceviche Mixto delivered on its zesty promise.<br><br>Short rib was bone dry, and the marinade lacked taste. However, the Mashed Malanga saved the dish. It was thick, creamy and perfectly seasoned.<br><br>For dessert we ordered La Guayabera. The guava aroma came through. It was a nice sweet touch to end the night.<br><br>DRINKS<br><br>I got the El Cuarto de Tula which I really enjoyed. It was the perfect combo of a sweet and savory drink. A bit of spice balanced with fruit.<br><br>However, my sister and friends had trouble with their drinks being consistent. They ordered the same drink twice. First time it was on the rocks and mildly sweet. Second round came fizzy, and cloyingly sweet. Again, no one helped with this issue.

the filet was great just melted in my mouth, best one i’ve had in a while. our server omar was so kind and down to earth and really made the experience amazing.

Great time, great food... service was fantastic, very attentive! Definitely worth a second visit... just wish we were seated along side the city view, but the service made up for it... Great DJ, was looking forward to staying into the night but the vibe started dying down a bit...

Wow! This place totally superseded my expectations and I already had high hopes to begin with. The views, the staff, the drinks, the food—A1! 10s all across the board. We tried the shrimp tacos and octopus for apps and they were delicious! Our entrees (paella with lobster tail add on and skirt steak) were also super delicious. I cannot wait to come back!

Nice location with gorgeous Manhattan view. The service here was also superb. We saw 3 tables celebrating their birthdays and the servers sang them birthday songs!!<br><br>However, the food was quite disappointing. Fillet Mignon and lobster weren’t fresh. I’ve never had a more dull lobster EVER!! It tasted like it has been frozen for a few months. And all the seafood & even chicken in the paella were also dull!!! The chicken really smells and its texture has changed entirely. The shrimp and mussels were hugely overcooked.<br><br>I saw a lot of people come here for there big occasions. Just don’t raise your expectations on the food quality here.

My parents recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, and I booked this place for five people, including our one-year-old baby. From the moment we arrived, the view was absolutely breathtaking. The food was delicious and unique, and we were given a perfect spot with an amazing view.<br><br>The staff were truly fantastic - friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. They helped us with everything and made the evening unforgettable.<br><br>Thank you to everyone who made this such a special experience for our family.

10/10!! I went to Son Cubano for my birthday dinner and it was simply amazing! Josh was our server and took care of all our needs. I ordered the New York strip with fries with a cosmo. From the appetizers to the main course, all were delicious and had a lot of flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place truly has it all: a spectacular view and absolutely amazing food. We started with the chicharron, salad, and ceviche, which were all fantastic. The octopus was perfectly cooked and seasoned. But the highlight of our meal was the cuatro leches dessert with berries—it was absolutely to die for! Highly recommend.

This place gets a five out of five and is hands down my favorite spot for brunch in NJ. The food is absolutely delicious with the best flavors and combinations. The portion sizes are great for the prices. The service can be hit or miss, but the atmosphere is a 10 out of 10!!! There is no better view than sitting by the Hudson River enjoying brunch here. I’ve visited this place more than any other restaurant in New Jersey (I think).
