Loved the food here (and attentive service to boot).
The middle eastern spices made the food so delicious. The dips were so creamy and tasty on the Frena (or any of their breads).
The chicken wings were our favourite. Can’t fault the crispy squash blossoms, Adana (lamb & beef) on tzatziki & baby artichokes. The small (2) selection of desserts were also good.
Overall a great dining experience.
Will be trying their other sister restaurants.

We had the BEST experience at Shukette. The ambiance was impeccable (loved the music). Service was welcoming and friendly and so generous. We sat at the counter which was absolutely perfect for watching the amazing chefs do their thing and chatting with other guests. We were given small plates of food from the chef to try that were on the house and we shared with the people next to us so everyone could try. Things we probably would’ve never ordered on our own, but WOW— it was worth it when the chef said “just trust me”. We tried half of the menu and each dish was better then the next. Our favorites were the dips, breads, cherries and the wings. I will be dreaming about this meal until the next time we are in NYC. I’d truly come to the city just to dine here. We had the best time and left so happy!
What a wonderful restaurant to stumble upon! My friend and I were sat at the chefs table and got to watch them work their magic! Everyone was very friendly! Our cocktails were works of art! The green one from the picture was the best, I think it was called the Garden, it was the perfect summer drink! We only were able to stop for an appetizer, but it was so mouthwateringly good that I know I will be back to try more items from their menu.
We’ve been twice already.
- the food: the best asset. Incredibly tasty and fresh. We can’t stop recommending it to everybody who comes.
- the entrance: a bad experience. Specially during winter, if they make you wait 15-20’ despite of your reservation and ppl get in and out and you are freezing despite of being technically inside.
- the service: the waiting time is very frustrating. Specially when you make a reservation and you arrive on time. During our second visit, the young male waitress assigned to our table was very annoying and frustrating. We told him that the broccoli wasn’t to share but that it was for one person and that they could bring the meat whenever ready (given that the broccoli was not a starter). His answer: “if you want I can bring you uncooked chicken.” Bravo 👏🏻
Phenomenal food and service! This was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. Also, it’s refreshing to go to a restaurant and hear 90s/2000s hip hop and r&b!!! I would definitely suggest making a reservation. The labneh with strawberries was especially divine! Shout out to our server Carlos he was so kind and very attentive.
I knew this restaurant was going to be good, but wow, every dish was outstanding. The beet dip was to die for, so flavorful, and the labneh with strawberries was impossible to stop eating. Everyone at the table kept going back for more. The frena was incredibly fluffy with the perfect crispy bottom. The pea dip was also delicious. Peas are not usually my favorite, but this dish completely changed my mind.

The asparagus with the green goddess sauce had the perfect texture, and I could honestly eat that as a side dish with every meal. The grilled fish was the best I have had so far in New York City, and the jeweled rice was the perfect complement to it.

The steak kebab had amazing flavor and was the favorite dish for everyone else at the table, but for me, the chicken completely stole the show. It was so juicy, tender, aromatic, and flavorful. Paired with the garlic fluff, I was honestly speechless.

The service was just as incredible as the food. I do not remember our server’s name, but she was so attentive and friendly, always making sure we had enough water and that we were enjoying everything.

I completely understand why this restaurant made the list of the top 100 best restaurants in New York City in 2025, and I am 100% sure it will continue to deserve its spot.
Phenomenal! I drove an hour and a half to try this place out. I had high expectations, and I was even more impressed than I thought. The head chef, Lenon, made sure everything was perfect before we sat down. The waiters and staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food was of the highest quality. I highly recommend this place. It’s a 10/10!
Let’s get this out of the way…GO HERE! Go here now! Make the resy and get it done. The food is amazing, the service is pleasant and attentive even though it was packed inside, our waiter Jack felt like he was only meant for our table and in complete service to us. We loved it! The ambiance felt like New York in the summertime if you know what that feels like it just doesn’t miss! As appetizers we had the bread and the labenah, then brightened it up with the pea party. All of what we ate were our decisions and 100% co-signed by Jack our waiter. Oh also, the playlist is bumping!!! We left completely satisfied. Go here!!!
We had an amazing dinner at Shukette. Managed to get a last min table via resy for 5:45pm which was perfect. We enjoyed 2 bottles of amazing white wine from Italy recommend by our hostess. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and we enjoyed every bit. Hummus, smoked fish, and multiple breads were delicious to start with. For mains we shared carrots, fish, lamb skewers, shrimp, wings and ended with Tahini and pomegranate soft serve.
The dining experience was amazing. The food is incredible and the service was great.

Plenty of vegetarian options but all the mains are fish or meat. We ordered the fish in a cafe and it was cooked perfectly. Since it was “whole fish” there was still some bones on the edges, so be prepared.

My favorites were the frena, fries, hummus, fish, and butter beans. Least favorite was crispy shrimp that reminded me more of fried calamari than shrimp.

Recommended.
Loved dining at Shukette while I was in the city last week. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant strikes that rare balance of energy and warmth. There is a vibey atmosphere, attentive service, and a thoughtfully curated playlist that makes the entire room feel alive.

We ordered the Not Your Average Hummus (aptly named), labneh, frena, roasted cauliflower, and the grass fed shish kebab. Each dish was exceptional. The hummus was impossibly smooth and deeply flavorful, the labneh bright and creamy, and the roasted cauliflower beautifully caramelized with layers of spice. The shish kebab was perfectly cooked and richly satisfying.

What truly sets Shukette apart, though, is the spirit of hospitality that fills the space. In a city that moves quickly, this is the kind of restaurant that invites you to slow down, linger over conversation, pass plates around the table, and savor the moment as much as the food.

We left feeling not just well fed, but genuinely well cared for.
Wed been wanting to come here for a while due to its popularity . It was pretty much as expected, good service, a lot of staff being very attentive and speedy. Not a relaxing experience as the atmosphere is frenetic and food arrives too quickly ( I guess to maximise the turnover). I like middle eastern cuisine but I found the dishes too seasoned and with too many flavours ( and a lot of garlic ). Pretty expensive , our meal (with only a few dishes and 2 glasses if wine each) was over $200. Glad to have tried it but not for me . Qanoon , also on 9th Avenue better in my opinion .
The food and service were 🔥!

We celebrated our anniversary at Shukette and had such a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the energy in the space was vibrant and welcoming. We were seated at the chef’s counter in the middle of the open kitchen, which made the night feel even more special. Watching the chefs prepare and plate the dishes added an interactive, immersive element that we truly enjoyed.

The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is lively and the playlist was everything!

What truly stood out was how the team acknowledged our anniversary. They surprised us with complimentary sides and desserts, which was such a generous and thoughtful gesture. It made the evening feel personalized and celebratory without being overdone.

Overall, Shukette delivered not just a great meal, but a full experience. We left feeling celebrated and well taken care of. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a fun, energetic night out in NYC.

Highly recommend!
Definitely worth all the stars! We went a couple minutes before it opens and were able to be seated at the counter. When we left there was a line, so either grab a reservation or go early. There are plenty of counter seats.

Every dish is fantastic.
* The Frena is MUST. It’s fully and soft like cloud with crispy bottom.
* Hummus was the best I’ve ever had.
* Squash had this great contrasting texture between the caramelized full-of-fiber skin and the soft, sweet, juicy inside.
* Beef kebab was juicy and tender
* Fish was marinated with lemon and some herb so it’s lightweight tender and refreshing
* we had the ice cream with apple and tahini twist together. I’d prefer it to be all tahini.
We ate at Shukette in Chelsea and even though we were seated in the outdoor section—which wasn’t the most comfortable—the food and service completely made up for it.

The standouts were incredible:

Shakshuka Braised Heirloom Butter Beans — rich, flavorful, and totally unique.

Grass-Fed Shish Kebab — perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Not Your Average Hummus and the Beet Tzatziki — fun, delicious, and definitely not average!

The staff was warm and on point, and the energy of the place is great. The indoor dining room looked amazing, but they were fully booked, so we’ll definitely try again for indoor seating next time.

Great location near the subway, delicious dishes across the board, and genuinely fantastic service. Highly recommend Shukette!
