ShopRite of New Hyde Park

I generally enjoy shopping at this store.<br><br>Today, Wed June 10 I had an incident here with a cashier. I had a basket full of items which I loaded onto the conveyor belt. There was a line of people behind me.<br><br>The cashier had finished the previous lady in line and proceeds to just stand there having a conversation with her not scanning my completely unloaded basket of items.<br><br>I'm a visibly Orthodox Jewish person. He turns to me and says aggressively, 'you can't take that basket out to your car'. Granted these are first words out of his mouth. Not a single item of mine has been scanned. He's still just standing there. So I'm processing what he's just said since it's so out of left field but mostly because I don't have a bag for my items, he again repeats himself even more aggressively and physically grabs the basket out of my hand.<br><br>This was completely unnecessary and I'm not looking forward to returning to this store again.<br><br>I would like to speak to someone at the store or at headquarters about this so it does not happen again to me or anyone else.<br><br>REPLY: thank you for the prompt response to this matter. Yes, I hope to follow up shortly.<br><br>I did ask to speak to a manager though I simply asked if I could carry out the items in a basket, i did not apprise her of what took place. However, it did not bode well how confidently the cashier pointed over to her as if to say 'good luck with that'. I really hope this is not an acceptable attitude towards Jews in this store.<br><br>I had a pleasant late night visit a few days ago. I had notably kind interactions with the bathroom staff.

I have had many problems with the home delivery. So today was my last time ordering from this place. My order was incorrect. Never notified of them leaving the food on my porch! Disappointing! It's too much of a hassle.

Our go-to grocery store.<br>They have everything and at fair prices.<br>Only downside is the parking lot. It's always a zoo but it's a finite space, so we have to deal with it!

First time shopper in this location, I just happened to be in the area & was pleasantly surprised.<br>Store was extremely clean, well stocked & well staffed & all employees wore name tags & were extremely friendly & helpful.

Came at a cery busy hour of the weekend and didnt find the item on the aisle provided by online app - BUT a shoprite angel (Andrew) was very helpful, accomodating and joyful in going thru the aisles and get to the items 🥰 you're awesome Andrew! Shoprite's lucky to have you in the team!

Great supermarket! Many items on sale at a good price. Just a heads up, at any given time it's busy here and if you have no patience with older folks and their speed with carts , then it's fine to shop here. 😀

Horrible staff! I called to make sure they have a product and they told me they had it. I drove 25 minutes to the store for them to not have the product. I went to the customer service desk and everyone acted confused as if they didn’t know who answered the phone. Absolutely unacceptable!

I like coming to this location, but as of recently I've been seeing patrons bring their dogs in the store. They aren't service animals! Please enforce some sort of policy that bans this. It's highly unsanitary and against dept of health regulations.

I stopped in to get a few things for dinner and had the pleasure of being served by Ms. Martha. I have to say that her customer service was so impressive. I love that she doesn’t just do her job with a smile but also encourages you through life. I’m used to being able to share my personal al life with my nail lady but now my supermarket cashier also! She is an absolute blessing and gem to this supermarket.

Great supermarket, but their online pick up department sucks. It's ran by a bunch of highschooler and they are amazingly slow at picking groceries from a shelf.

ShopRite deserves 5 stars. Great location, big parking lot. But I would recommend to go weekday or night time since it’s 24 hours service. Weekend still very hard to find parking space like Costco. Fresh fruit and some great deal week by week. Ppl should able to obtain all daily items, food/ cleaning product and some seasonal gift.

ShopRite has some great buys, so I go when I'm in the neighborhood.<br>The store is very big, and the way it's laid out almost all the most popular items are in the first row or the last so almost every customer covers the entire store every time they shop.<br>Frustratingly, the most popular corner has narrow aisles further narrowed by displays cluttering them. Spaces here are barely wide enough for a cart...they should accommodate two.<br>The store is almost always crowded, but they usually have well manned checkouts and a lot of self-checkouts.<br>The parking lot is also poorly designed with only two exit/entrances, with the most busy one accessible only from the lane in front of the store. This means that to exit, you have to drive towards the store where others are entering and orhers are looking for parking.

I come here every week because I love the selection of the store. Today I was confused with pricing about so a ShopRite worker name Quan was walking by me and I asked him if he could help me. He pass right through me saying whatever it says and didn’t even stopped to see. Time somewhere around 4:15- 4:20 pm next to Local Farm aisle. Date 09/12/2025. It was extremely embarrassing for me.

I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cheyenne at the ShopRite in New Hyde Park for her exceptional customer service today.<br><br>While hosting a business luncheon in Elmont, I received a notification that my DoorDash pickup had been canceled. I had ordered lunch for a room full of real estate professionals at my first-ever presentation in their office—needless to say, the timing couldn’t have been worse. When I called the store, they confirmed the food was ready and waiting, but DoorDash cancelled. Cheyenne must have sensed the panic in my voice and immediately stepped in to help.<br><br>Without hesitation, she offered to contact DoorDash on my behalf to ensure the order was picked up and delivered. Thanks to her quick thinking and willingness to go above and beyond, lunch arrived right on time—and I was able to focus on making a great impression during my presentation.<br><br>While I was initially going to write about the delicious, well-prepared, and affordable lunch from ShopRite, it was Cheyenne’s outstanding customer service that truly stole the show. Shoutout to my sister who told me all about how fabulous Shoptite catering was.<br><br>Thank you, Cheyenne—you’ve gained a very grateful and loyal customer!
