Shake Shack Herald Square

Quick service, clean location. Staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and proactive. They were also quick to clean all messes. Bathroom was very clean and fresh. Service was quick, food was great. Restaurant atmosphere is good. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Shake Shack was great as always, the food was fresh and tasted amazing. I also loved the Sunday deal where I spent $10 and got a free chicken sandwich. Definitely worth it!

Pretty impressed by their service! 100% recommended. In NyC service usually has a bad reputation but this place is different. Clean, organized, delicious food and the staff is top notch

Tasty burgers, fries, onion rings, and cookies and cream/vanilla milkshakes. Pricey for all, but, very good flavor in all the foods ordered. Almost did not get a seat, but a table opened up just in time.<br>Enjoyed the food; satisfying!

Everything you expect from a Shake Shack and more — probably the best fast food chain in the world! The food is consistently delicious, the burgers and fries hit the spot every time.<br><br>The staff at this location were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in New York!

Yesterday on Saturday When my family and I walked into Shake Shack, we expected a normal, family-friendly environment, but the atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. The music playing in the restaurant had very explicit lyrics that were openly talking about sexual activity, which was inappropriate to hear in a place where families and children were present. On top of that, there were several people inside who seemed intoxicated and were being very loud and obnoxious. They were shouting, drawing attention to themselves, and even going on Instagram Live in the middle of the restaurant. The whole situation made the environment feel chaotic and disrespectful, and it was shocking that this kind of behavior and music was allowed while families were trying to enjoy a meal will be reporting to hr because next time u come in I wouldn’t want this experience and making sure whoever is responsible is held responsible!!!

I got the smoke shack burger, it was good! Great size and can customise what you’d like on your burger. Did ask for mine to be well done however got served pink meat, was still delicious. We waited around 15/20 minutes for food as this store was really busy! It was a race to try and get a table.

Can you imagine having a milkshake on a frigid day? Well, I did as I had not had a strawberry milkshake for over a year. Granted I was sitting inside and Shake Shack wasn't particularly warm but this shake tasted delicious. I ate a single Smoke Shack with it. The peppers kept falling and I hadn't taken a fork to eat them. The milkshake took a while to soften but each sip was delightful. Jessica, a six month employee, who was serving was kind to me when I told her that my shake seemed to have tiny nuts inside. She insisted that no nuts are in this shake. A mystery indeed.<br><br>After chocolate shopping, I went into Shake Shack to have a quick lunch of a burger and fries. The place was surprisingly quiet with few customers. I got a burger without the tomato. Plain small fries. The special fries were the Parmesan and garlic was $1 more. What was it? Parmesan sprinkled on top with a garlic sauce on the side. No great shakes. As it is, I paid the princely sum of $13.91 for lunch. To me, this is expensive.

Has always been a go to for burgers, when visiting.<br><br>However I feel like they have dropped the ball.<br>Ordering is completely self serve<br>Burger was overcooked and dry, and cold.<br>Disappointing, this is the second visit this trip and on both occasion food was average.<br>Vanilla shake was great.<br>Tried 7th street burger was much better

I've managed to come across a Shake Shack in the city with adequate service and abundant seating. Something like this you'd only be able to find in the outer boroughs but I've come across one right nearby Macy's in Herald Square.<br><br>I've ordered my food on the app and to be honest, it was a solid idea because the place even though it's bigger than most locations in the city, was still packed with people. Unlike my last visit at a Shake Shack in midtown which took almost an eternity to get my food ready, it was done 4 minutes before the estimated time for it to be done and the server was courteous and accommodating, something you'd see out of Chick Fil-A.<br><br>Despite the crowd of people in the large area, I managed to find a seat and went to have my food, a Big Shack, a Smoke Shack burger, fries and soda. I decided to withhold the shake for now and it was a good choice because the Big Shack as a whole, is a massive mountain of meat (Pause) and that along with the fries filled me up. I only ate a bit of the smoke Shack until I decided to have it later. I don't even need to go into detail with the food in Shake Shack, it's always at the top of it's game. I've had bad service at a Shake Shack location, I've had problems trying to eat inside a Shake Shack but I've NEVER had any bad food from Shake Shack so you definitely get your money's worth on that.<br><br>It was a good brief retreat from the chilly weather to just relax and chow down on some Shake Shack goodness.

This was our first time trying Shake Shack and it did not disappoint! Tasted very fresh. A bit of a long wait and hard to find a table. We would come back 🍔🍦

The triple shack’s meat was well cooked and smooth. I enjoyed every piece of it and didn’t want it to end. It was the best hamburger I have ever eaten (I have eaten plenty though!).<br><br>People working here are kind and helpful.<br><br>So thankful that I tried shake shack!

Went there last night. Craving for fries.<br>First time at this Shake Shack location. Shake Shack customer for over 10 years. Won’t come here again.<br>$4.89 for this portion of fries???? This is crazy, it looks like it was eaten part of it. The picture shows literally what I got. I didn’t eat one piece before I took this photo. This portion size is ridiculous, it does not worth the price. Very disappointed, unless the fries is freshly cut right be for deep frying, it is totally not worth the price. I know it is 2025, price of everything goes up, but $4.89 for one order of fries just for this portion size?????<br>Why not ask the staff about it? I don’t think they would really help, very likely the answer would be this is what it is.<br>Honestly will consider not to go to any Shake Shack location from now on.

The burger was amazing, and the bun was perfect in every way. The cheese fries were delicious, and overall it was a wonderful experience with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service.

Great burger, I got a little undercooked one but the rest of my family loved theirs. The fries are delicious. Milkshakes are awesome as well. Service is kind of slow but the place was packed, so I understand. Lots of seating room and clean bathroom.
