What happened to Shake Shack?<br><br>The Brooklyn/Barclays Center location used to be clean, fast, and well-run. Today: slow service, dirty bathrooms, broken fixtures, and employees who look completely checked out.<br><br>Same location. Same brand. Totally different experience. What a shame.

An absolutely unhinged experience due to staff laziness. I ordered a pickup burger. Grabbed it left. 12 hours later woken up by my phone ringing as a homeless man screamed at me on the phone threatening to come to my address because he found my food in a bag at shake shack and because they didn't give him the now 12 hour old food he took the number off the bag and called me. Shake shack get your shit together and don't leave out customers personal info, and also food safety mean anything to you?

Food was great - you gotta preorder from the website though bc they take a long while especially after lunch rush

I can’t believe I witnessed this.<br>I went to order a burger and the lady I think the manager cashed me out. I also saw she had gloves on. This means she touched the gloves with cash, the cash register, and the coins she returned back to me.<br><br>I then waited for her to change the gloves since she went back to the kitchen area. What made me so surprised was that with the same gloves, she then started preparing someone’s burger. Touching the meat, the lettuce, and the tomato with the same gloves. I never felt so disgusted I immediately went to the cash register and asked for a refund. That was nuts.

This shake shake saved me 🙌 I used the app for the first time and it sent my order to the downtown location and it was going to close before I made it there. Luckily this location was able to make my order and I can eat tonight! Great service and very understanding ❤️

I love this location. It’s my favorite one. I came there today at 12:40 where I witnessed a woman destroying your store by throwing her stuff all over the place and being rude your staff. I spoke up and ended up getting assaulted by getting spit on multiple times inside of your store and outside. I would like a manager to contact me please because I need the footage. I want to press charges, but I can’t do that without the footage.

I’m happy to say Shake Shack really turned things around this time. I came back recently and the difference was clear the moment I opened my order.<br><br>The Big Shack was made correctly no unexpected ingredients, no broken patty, and no sloppy assembly. Everything looked fresh, stacked neatly, and made with actual care. The burger held together from first bite to last, and the quality was exactly what I’ve always expected from Shake Shack. Flavor was on point, cooked well, and served hot.<br><br>Service was noticeably better too. Staff were more attentive, and the overall experience felt much more in line with what keeps me coming back to this location.<br><br>I appreciate the improvements and the effort to address consistency. This visit definitely restored my confidence, and I’ll be returning again.<br><br>The review below is the original<br>_______________________<br>Disappointed This Time<br><br>I usually enjoy Shake Shack, but this visit really missed the mark. I ordered a Big Shack and found bacon in it even though it isn’t supposed to come with any. The top patty was broken, and the whole sandwich looked like it was thrown together without any care. It started falling apart before I even took the first bite. Definitely not the quality or consistency I expect from Shake Shack. Hoping this was just an off day, but it was a pretty disappointing experience. This occured around 9:22pm 23 November 2025.

I love shake shack and have been to many locations. However with this specific location the burgers were very chewy and it did not taste normal to me. Everytime I bit into the burger the meat had a chewy texture . I had my order to go but if I had stayed back and ate in the restaurant I would've told the workers. I will not be returning to this shake shack. The workers are great but the taste of the burger did not sit well with me. I was very disappointed

You can't go wrong with Shake Shack. However, the food at this location tastes super fresh. It's spacious, clean, and neat. But we came for the limited-time Dubai Milk Shake. It was worth it! A must-try! You have to be there by noon to get one before they run out!<br><br>The only thing I would change is the temperature. It was to cold and we dressed for a warm July 4th! We couldn't wait to get out of there. Other than that, it's the perfect spot for a quick meal.

The food is really good. The Shack burger with bacon has lots of flavor. I like that they use fresh lettuce and tomatoes and a potato bun.<br>You have to use the kiosk for ordering but still have to get your oder to stay. They just yell your number, meanwhile the kiosk says just relax someone will bring your food to your table. No big deal. Just don't request for a tip when I'm doing most of the work(ordering/bringing food to table/getting condiments/napkins on my own)<br>None the less I still think they're one of the best fast food places.

Favorite Shake Shack location ! Super simple & easy.. place your order, pick a number, choose a seat & they bring the food to your table !! How easy can ya get? Food is always delicious & bathrooms are always clean. No complaints here !!

Ok so today I didn't have time to cook dinner so my husband and I decided to order from Shake Shack and since we haven't had this for a long time, we were super excited to have it again, UNFORTUNATELY our excitement didn't last very long. We got two cheeseburgers with fries. You know the tag that comes on the bag of buns, the one that has the expiration date on it? Well, it was stuck to my bottom bun! I was grossed out big time! Even the ink was printed on the bun. On my husbands burger, they put the tiniest piece of an old lettuce leaf. The burger was gross and unsanitary BIG TIME! We didn't even feel safe to eat it. This was definitely our last time ordering from this place.

I used to be a huge fan of Shake Shack but my last 2 visits (Vegas and Brooklyn) had me thinking that the food in incredibly salty. The chicken bites are white chicken meat which is great but the outside is so salty. The chicken dog was also salty and they slice the dog open which tends to overcook the the meat. Thankfully the fries are still amazing!! Service here is also mediocre. Staff don't seem very happy and when we asked them "how are you?" We were met with a blank stare and "your order please". Yikes.
