i heard about this being the best pizza in nyc, so i came in with a friend around 3! place was empty so it was quaint but i liked it. pizza we ordered was a little on the floppy side but still really great! HOWEVER i need you to tune into this penne alla vodka idk what kinda magic spell they put on it in the kitchen or whose nonna is in the back putting pieces of her sweet italian soul into that dish but my god. i'm lactose intolerant but i couldn't stop eating. genuinely worth the stomach pain ten times over. what magnificent, jaw-dropping, fantastic, majestic, gorgeously silky delicious pasta. i don't even want to ask for the recipe because i don't think i could make it as well as this place does wow. i fear i would butcher it to bits. 11/10 would come back just for the penne alla vodka. consider this my love ode to serafina's penne alla vodka. i'd stay in the hotel connected to this joint just to be able to walk down the stairs and eat here every day. will be dreaming of this for a long time.

Amazing risotto with prosecco and truffle, pair it with a glass of prosecco to intensify the taste. A culinary delight!

I feel like your experience will be different on where you sit and what time you go. We unfortunately were sat under the red lights and during the broadway dinner rush. Our server seemed very preoccupied and didn’t do much in the way to add to the experience besides taking orders and rarely checking back for any extras.

We ordered the bruschetta to start - it was fine. Generous portions but underwhelming, the tomatoes tasted soggy like the mix wasn’t prepared fresh but rather hours ago.

We each got dirty martinis and while they were strong the flavor and presentation were less than desirable. Mostly vodka and an empty olive thrown in at the bottom, not even a pick to hold it.

The food was a lot better. The cacio e pepe had a great flavor to it with lots of cheese. The chicken paillard was fine but nothing special. The same tomatoes for the bruschetta were thrown atop arugula with light dressing.

As far as ambience goes, under the red lights it was hard to see what we were eating or hear each other speak over the loud music. (The red lights also explains why the food photographs look so violent)

I probably wouldn’t go back but it is a convenient location before a broadway show.

Good Italian food just steps from Theatre District/Times Square/ Central Park. We had party of 10 and service was perfect 👌.

We visited Serafina before catching a Broadway play and it was simply delicious. I had a lemon pasta with shrimp, my friend had chicken parmigiana, we shared the spinach and calamari for the appetizer. If your into simple Italian food with no fuss just true to the menu this is a spot to consider. I would definitely return. By the way our server Armando was amazing!

Serafina is a restaurant that’s good for American who don’t know what real Italian food tastes like. We initially wanted to sit at the bar but was told to wait a few minutes and then someone else took a seat and we were unable to sit at the bar. We were taken to an area with red lighting which was horrible for taking food pictures with this lighting. The hostess did admit it was her fault and miscommunication. We spoke to a bus boy about if we could order from the happy hour menu and he said only at the bar and we explained our situation but he could not accommodate for a mistake that wasn’t ours. The attitude of the bus boy quite frankly ruined the vibe and I didn’t want to dine here anymore. The spaghetti carbonara was very dry it needed more egg yolk, the gnocchi di mamma also didn’t have enough pasta sauce. Italian food is very mediocre and and subpar. Only good thing was calamari and the the wine. Never again will I come back here. The service here is really lacking, almost like people could care less because they’re not well compensated.

An exceptional dining experience. The moment you step in, you’re welcomed with genuine warmth that makes you feel instantly at ease. The service is refined, attentive, and heartfelt. And the food… wowww!!! Simply exquisite, every dish crafted with remarkable care and flavor.

Everything was flawless. A place you’re always happy to return to.
And a special mention to the manager — a truly gracious, attentive, and radiant woman who makes the whole experience even more memorable.

The pappardelle short rib was AMAZING. Highly recommend, it just melts in your mouth!! The pizza (Bianca) was a cream base, both nice & rich.

The place itself is lovely with a welcoming vibe, and the service was top-notch. I tried the avocado toast, which looked great but had a bit too much going on flavor-wise for something that should feel simple and fresh. I’d come back if they improve the menu a bit.

The restaurant was fabulous vibe was wonderful . The have outdoor seating as well if that is something you like. Wine selection was great as well. Prices where reasonable for NYC maybe even on the lower priced side. Service was great and they made recommendations and very well versed in wine and food pairings. but for the actual food it was okay. I was expecting something to blow my socks off because everything else was wonderful. I ordered chicken parmigiana and my sister had steak with fries.

8/8/25, 8pm

Went here for a birthday, it was 4 of us in total. The vibe and atmosphere of the place was nice. Our waiter was very attentive to us. Each dish we got was around $25. I got the rigatoni bolognese for $27 and it was good. I’ve had better at other places but it was still tasty. I wish they would’ve given bread as a starter like other restaurants do.

Spaghetti carbonara- $25
Farfelle Limoncello- $26
Ubah hot pizza - $25

Came here for some small bites and good vibes and did not disappoint! The fried artichoke was delicious and focaccia was so crispy! Highly recommend and will be back

We went here twice for dinner last week while in NYC. Both times were fantastic! The atmosphere is great and the service was good also. The food was fantastic both times. We really enjoyed it. I do have 2 complaints but it wouldn't deter me from going back. 1. They do not have steak sauce. The first night I was disappointed because they didn't have steak sauce and had I known, I wouldn't have ordered steak. The second being they allow DoorDash drivers to go through the dining room to get food. So every time a Door Dash driver would come through by our table, they smelled like marijuana and almost knocked drinks off of our table. This happened both times we were there. Aside from those 2 things, we really enjoyed it.

Got Kids? Take them here. The menu is very kid friendly and the interiors are fun. This restaurant is also a decent pre-theater stop if you are on a time crunch and are not looking to impress.
The quality of the food was good. However I found the truffle flavor a little overwhelming in the ravioli dish. As for the cocktail, the martini was strong.
You could tell the volume is high at this establishment as service was not as attentive as one would like and the tables are very close to each other. Keep this in mind if you are going to the theater and get your app and entree order in straight away. Serafina definitely has a great location and seems to be successful as they have been long established here. Was just expecting a little more elevation overall.

Great service and classy atmosphere. The highlight of our meal was easily the ravioli. They had quick a few selections and we picked the vegetarian mushroom based one. Great Melody of flavors without any single one blasting out the others, as garlic often does, with perfect chew on the wrapping. We considered just ordering more raviolis to round off our meal!

Salmon and bass were both well cooked. The bass, in the onion and potato wrap had a nice sweetness to it.

Definitely hope to visit again.
