Lovely breakfast place!
We went there after putting a reservation on google and were seated right away after entering. Others without reservation hat to wait around 45 minutes - so I totally recommend a reservation there!
Is is a little more pricey? Yes. But is the food good? Oh my, definitely! The avocado bread was a huge hit and the fruity starter (freshly squeezed fruit cocktail for 14$) was amazing! The coffee was also lovely. Service was a bit hectical but friendly and attentive.
I know that some might perceive it as expensive - but I rather prefer paying for good food in good quality than bad things!
So if you want to have a lovely breakfast before entering the park, definitely go there!

The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and well designed, and the service was attentive and professional. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive and thoughtfully done. However, the food itself didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of taste.

Response from the owner

Pleasant brunch place. I like the seafood Cobb salad and whole grain toast with honey and olive oil. Appreciate the chef made it exactly the way I like it.

I can clearly say that this restaurant is rather overrated. I don't understand how this place is so popular. The staff behaves like astranouts I suppose. They are rude enough. The meal is a bit higher than average. The prices are expensive. I don't recommend to anyone. You can find a lot of cheaper and more quality plenty of places.

Recently, three of us went to Sarahbeth’s for an impromptu lunch. My cousin and her friend were visiting from out of town, and I wanted us to go somewhere special. Since I just gave them a tour of the surrounding area - emphasis on Central Park South in the spring, woohooo - I suggested that we see if they could squeeze us in at Sarabeth’s. We didn’t have a reservation, but I thought that it didn’t hurt to ask. We went in and waited for a table…they sat us in about half an hour.

Everyone there was warm and welcoming, though our server, Sarah, was the warmest. (She has an appropriate name for her workplace, too, so extra points for that. LOL) Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, the vibe there was laid back. Somehow, they’re able to preserve an atmosphere of relaxation amidst what’s likely their most demanding time (the wild weekend!).

With that, the power bowl (check out my photos), was delicious; it gave me just the refill that I needed. (One needs plenty of energy to play NYC tour guide.) Probs the best decision that I made that day was asking for a bottle of olive oil for our table. That way, I added a little extra oil to my bowl, which only served to enhance it! * Go to Sarahbeth’s, though perhaps learn from my learning curve and make a resy, namely on the weekend. (Though imho, the wait was so worth it.) Sincere thanks for an excellent dining experience, Sarah and colleagues! Warmly, Katherine/Kat (and guests)

What a lovely spot. The tomato soup was UNREAL. So, so good. The French toast was pretty good but nothing exceptional. Service was good and loved eating outside on a beautiful spring day.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your kind words Sarah! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed our tomato soup. We appreciate your feedback on the French toast and will work on perfecting it. We hope to see you again soon for another delightful dining experience outdoors.

I visited Sarabeth's Central Park South and had a really great breakfast experience.

The Eggs Benedict were excellent—perfectly poached eggs, a rich and well-balanced hollandaise sauce, and everything cooked exactly to the point. It’s one of those classic dishes that can easily go wrong, but here it was done just right.

The banana muffins were another highlight. Fresh, moist, and full of flavor without being overly sweet—definitely worth ordering alongside your main dish.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. Attentive, friendly, and efficient without feeling rushed. You feel well taken care of from the moment you sit down.

The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it a great spot for a proper breakfast or brunch near Central Park.

Conclusion: High-quality breakfast, standout Eggs Benedict and banana muffins, and excellent service—definitely a place worth visiting.

A Birthday Brunch to Remember at Sarabeth’s
Sarabeth’s Central Park location never disappoints, and my recent birthday visit with family was no exception. From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for something special.
We started with the crab and guacamole appetizer—a refreshing and elegant way to begin our meal. The combination was perfectly balanced, with sweet crab meat complementing the creamy guacamole beautifully.
For our main courses, we ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Smoked Salmon Benedict. The pancakes were cloud-like and delicate, with just the right amount of lemon brightness cutting through the richness of the ricotta. The Smoked Salmon Benedict was equally impressive, featuring perfectly poached eggs and quality salmon that melted in your mouth.
What makes Sarabeth’s truly special is the consistency—every visit feels like coming home to exceptional food and warm hospitality. The staff made my birthday celebration even more memorable with their attentive service.
Thank you, Sarabeth’s, for another amazing experience. You continue to be a must-visit destination whenever I’m in New York City.

Although we had to wait a few minutes for our booked table the food was excellent, as was the table service. It was a weekend so we had brunch and a mimosa as it was a birthday treat. Great location for Central Park and Fifth Av.

I can't even describe how satisfied I am with the food here. Every time I visit NYC I take someone new here for brunch that's never experienced it. You literally can't go wrong with anything you order here. Service is always great!

I visited Sarabeth’s in this location this weekend.
The food was great, one of us got the burger which was really good and I got the fillet Mignon which was on a special dinner offer, i could confidently say it was one of the best meat plates i’ve tried in Nyc. We also got the baby ‘something’ bead salad which was nice. The waiters were really fun and polite.

Response from the owner

Thank you for dining with us at Sarabeth's! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our delicious food and friendly service. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back soon for another fantastic dining experience!

My experience at Sarabeth’s Central Park South was excellent from start to finish. The location is unbeatable — right across from Central Park — giving you that classic New York atmosphere while you enjoy your meal.

We ordered a variety of dishes: steak, salmon, pasta, and chicken fingers. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The salmon was fresh and well-seasoned with a delicate texture. The pasta was rich and satisfying, with a sauce that tasted homemade. Even the chicken fingers — a simple dish — were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, showing that the kitchen puts care into every plate.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with soft lighting that created a warm and intimate feel. Service was excellent — the staff were attentive without being intrusive, always making sure everything was perfect.

In my opinion, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the location, and the service. Whether you’re visiting New York or live here, Sarabeth’s Central Park South is a must-visit for a delicious meal with a beautiful view.

We sat here on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t wait a single minute for three of us. They had a dinner pre-fix menu for $50, which included almost every item on their alacarte menu. The burger was decent, the salad and meatballs were good, and the crostata was a great finish. Overall, it was a good experience, and it’s a great spot for people-watching.

Response from the owner
